Chapter 379: Chapter 201: Master Mo’s Might_4
When Lao Wan brutally aired her affection, Loh Bixin felt particularly embarrassed. Her expression turned frantic as she glared at Lao Wan viciously. "Shut up, shut up, don’t you dare speak another word."
"What, are you scared of me speaking like this?"
Lao Wan had no idea what was going on tonight, but all her rage was directed at Loh Bixin. Seeing Loh Bixin, who always used to fawn over her, now losing her temper, she could not help but mock her again and even raised her hand to ruthlessly strike Loh Bixin...
"Shut up, shut up, shut up, I told you to shut up."
...
Qin Qin and Gan Tiantian were preparing to leave Beijing University with Mu Chienchien.
"Strange, why haven’t we seen Loh Bixin and Lao Wan? Those two wouldn’t be too ashamed to show their faces, would they?"
Gan Tiantian snorted coldly. She really disliked Lao Wan, who always provoked Qin Qin. Qin Qin, being magnanimous, didn’t bother with her, but she kept targeting Qin Qin. Someday, she would not end well, hmph.
"Let’s go." Qin Qin frowned slightly, not sure why she had been feeling a vague irritation since earlier. Her sixth sense made her feel that something was amiss.
"Qin Qin, wait, you can’t leave," Mr. Lee’s voice sounded panic-stricken and urgent.
Qin Qin and her friends turned around. Huang Jinhong and Leng Yan were not far from Qin Qin, as they all turned to face Mr. Lee and a crowd of people from Beijing University, all with faces filled with panic and confusion.
Mr. Lee stopped Qin Qin. Mu Chienchien, puzzled, asked, "Mr. Lee, is there something else?"
"Qin Qin can’t leave."
"Why not?" Gan Tiantian asked, puzzled, while Qin Qin looked indifferent.
"Lao Wan is dead. Someone said they saw her arguing with Qin Qin right before she died."
As soon as Mr. Lee finished speaking, shock overcame Gan Tiantian and Mu Chienchien, their expressions dramatically changed. Lao Wan dead? How could she have died? How could it possibly involve Qin Qin?
Qin Qin’s brows furrowed slightly. Lao Wan was dead?! Was that intense premonition of bloodshed fulfilled by her death? Although she didn’t pity Lao Wan, this matter involving her was a bit troublesome. No wonder her sixth sense had been making her feel uneasy; it was because of this.
Several police cars approached from a distance, and a Mercedes private car followed. When the Mercedes private car stopped, a middle-aged couple with anguished faces ran over; they were Lao Wan’s parents.
"Mr. Lee, what on earth happened? How could my daughter be in trouble?" Mother Lao sobbed uncontrollably in Father Lao’s arms, tears streaming down her face. "Where is my daughter’s body? Who could be so heartless to kill her? I will have that person’s life."
Father Lao was holding up slightly better than Mother Lao, but the pain was evident on his face. "Mr. Lee, please take us to see her," he requested.
The police officers stepped forward to understand the situation. Upon learning that Lao Wan’s death might be related to Qin Qin, they led Qin Qin towards where Lao Wan’s body was located.
A group walked toward where Lao Wan’s body lay.
Lao Wan died in the place where she last chatted with Qin Qin, in a secluded spot with several large trees that loomed ominously in the night. Behind the trees was a flowerbed, and beyond the flowerbed lay a small river of Beijing University. After Lao Wan was murdered, her body was dumped in the river. Now, her body had been retrieved, completely drenched, her complexion pale and slightly bloated, her eyes wide open in disbelief.
Many students from Beijing University turned away in fright upon seeing Lao Wan’s body. Mother Lao and Father Lao tried to approach but were held back by the police, who hoped they’d stay calm and not disturb the evidence.
The medical examiner approached to conduct an examination, and police cordoned off the area with tape. Parents Lao stood outside the police tape, crying loudly in utter grief.
A police officer approached with a notebook to ask Mr. Lee questions. Mr. Lee and other leaders recounted everything they knew and brought over a female and a male student to speak with the police.
"Tell us exactly what happened," Police Officer A asked sternly.
The girl and the boy seemed frightened as they stammered, "We saw Lao Wan arguing with Qin Qin outside, then we heard that Lao Wan was dead."
"Who is Qin Qin?" Police Officer A scanned the fearful students of Beijing University.
Gan Tiantian held onto Qin Qin, who patted her hand to signal not to be afraid, she would be fine. "It’s me."
Her cool voice made Police Officer A pause. All the students from Beijing University were showing signs of fear and panic, but this girl called Qin Qin remained composed.
"Did you kill my daughter?" Father Lao’s icy voice came through as he held his nearly fainting wife.
"I did not kill your daughter," Qin Qin said calmly. She had already seen Lao Wan’s body from a distance. Her ghost eyes only caught residual images and couldn’t see who had killed Lao Wan.
