Inside VIP Room No. 1 of Happy Day, Gan Tiantian dared not tell her classmate Ji Jia that something might have happened to her. She could only sit there nervously, sweating palms, praying in her heart that Qin Qin could rescue Ji Jia.

Just then, someone opened the door to the private room from outside. Startled, Gan Tiantian stood up from her seat, thinking it was Qin Qin, but was momentarily stunned when she saw the tall and handsome figure in the doorway.

Mo Yunchen’s phoenix eyes scanned the surroundings, but Qin Qin’s figure was nowhere to be seen. It was not easy for him to come back, and she was still following someone else, leaving him alone in the private room for so long. He was very upset and went to the next room, hoping to bring her out to keep him company.

"Where is she?"

Gan Tiantian, looking distressed, shook her head at her classmates, "I don’t know who he is, maybe I got the wrong person. You guys keep singing. I’m going to look for Qin Qin and the others!"

She was still worried about Qin Qin and Ji Jia.

Qin Qin walked to the left side. At that moment, a man in his thirties approached from the left, with somewhat long hair, a black mole between his eyebrows, and the strong stench of blood assaulted her. "No, you misunderstood, I just noticed you dropped something and wanted to remind you!" Qin Qin said sweetly, pointing behind the man to a pack of cigarettes. The man turned, saw his cigarettes had fallen to the ground, picked them up, smiled at Qin Qin, passed her by, and walked away.

Qin Qin didn’t chase after the man. Instead, she raised her right hand to glance at the remaining white powder in it—a colorless and odorless drug powder specially made by her, which only animals can detect.

Right now, the most important thing was not to chase the man but to rescue Ji Jia. She hoped that Ji Jia was unharmed.

She ran fast toward the alley on the left.

The alley on the left was not deep but had a corner. Qin Qin ran into the alley and around the corner, and ten meters away from her, a female body lay on the ground, eyes filled with panic, distinct finger marks on her cheek, her neck sliced open, blood pouring out fiercely, and several wounds stabbed in her abdomen, blood covering the ground. The scene looked extremely horrifying.

Qin Qin walked over to the body and shook her head. She was too late! The person was already dead!

Suppressed crying came from behind a trash can nearby. Qin Qin walked over, pushed the trash can aside, and Ji Jia, swinging her hands forward, let out a scream, "Don’t kill me, don’t kill me!"

Thinking the murderer had returned, she screamed in terror.

Ji Jia was terrified, covering her mouth with her hands to keep from making noise. She saw the woman fall to the ground.

Fearful the man would discover her, Ji Jia took out her cell phone to text Gan Tiantian. Thankfully, her phone was on silent mode, so she didn’t have to fear the man discovering her. After sending the text, she covered her mouth again, shut her eyes, and the woman’s increasingly faint breathing and crying reached her ears until there was silence. She knew the woman was dead, she wanted to save her, but she knew she couldn’t, and if she went out, she’d surely be killed by the man! She could only hide behind the trash can, waiting for the man to leave before she started to sob, shaking and crying quietly!

"It’s me, Ji Jia, it’s Qin Qin. He’s gone!"

Hearing the familiar comforting voice, Ji Jia lifted her head, saw Qin Qin, and threw herself into Qin Qin’s arms, trembling, "Qin Qin, I’m so scared! I’m so scared! There’s been a murder, I saw a murder!"

Qin Qin patted Ji Jia’s back. She understood Ji Jia’s feelings; a naive girl suddenly witnessing such a scene would definitely be scared out of her wits.

Calm footsteps halted behind Qin Qin, she turned to see Mo Yunchen there, his phoenix-like eyes deep and icy cold.

"Why are you here?"

Mo Yunchen’s gaze shifted from the body, "Get her out of here first!"

Qin Qin nodded, helping Ji Jia up, "We’ll go first, the police will take care of this soon."

Ji Jia nodded in fear, leaning into Qin Qin’s embrace.

Mo Yunchen’s phoenix-like eyes remained cold; he did not like anyone getting too close to Qin Qin.

"Ah, a murder!" Two young men and women screamed in fear; they had intended to enter the alley to be intimate, but curiosity led them in after hearing noises, only to find a female body lying on the ground, while three people were about to leave.

The pair retreated in fear, thinking Qin Qin and her companions were the killers. Just then, the sound of police sirens rose from outside, and as the two ran out, about a dozen police officers were approaching. They ran up in panic, one person grabbing another, "There’s been a murder, we saw it happening."

The woman from the two grabbed Xi Yue, who was standing next to Gan Tiantian, who had called the police.

Gan Tiantian was even more panicked upon hearing about the murder; she feared something might happen to Ji Jia.

At this moment, Qin Qin came out holding Ji Jia, accompanied by Mo Yunchen, and the two pointing at them exclaimed, "It’s them, they are the murderers! There’s a woman they killed inside."

A shadow crossed Qin Qin’s face, and a bloodthirsty gleam flashed in Mo Yunchen’s phoenix eyes—he had never been accused of being a murderer before.

Ji Jia wanted to argue, but her legs were so weak she couldn’t utter a word!

Gan Tiantian saw Ji Jia crying and ran up to her, "Ji Jia, you scared me to death! Thank goodness you’re okay!"

The two who had called the police stood frozen, not quite understanding why this person would run up to the supposed murderers.

Before they could make sense of it, Xi Yue and a group of police officers were heading towards Qin Qin.

"Qin Qin, what’s going on?!" Xi Yue asked urgently.

Before Qin Qin could speak, the two young people behind them stepped forward in terror, "Why aren’t you arresting them? They are the murderers! There’s a body inside, go see for yourself if you don’t believe us!"
