Chapter 227: Chapter 177: Daring to Impersonate Them_2
"Haha, what a big talker!" Thief A burst into loud laughter, finding Qin Qin’s bravado to be a complete bluff. He thought it was funny that a little girl could be so unafraid and bold.
"Heh, do you really think you can walk out of this alley unscathed today? Hand over your money quickly, or don’t blame us brothers for being rude." Gouzi pulled out a knife and started spinning it impressively between his hands, trying to intimidate Qin Qin.
Qin Qin watched him showing off with the small knife, shook her head, and with lightning speed snatched the knife from Gouzi’s hands. She then dazzled him with her own knife-flourishing display right before his eyes. The blur of the knife made Gouzi’s head spin. After a minute, Qin Qin stopped, holding the knife perfectly in her hand, with a teasing smile, "This is how you wield a knife. What you did was mere child’s play."
Thief A and Thief B were completely stunned by Qin Qin’s move. Thief B even swallowed hard in admiration and said, "Wow, so cool!"
Thief A slapped Thief B hard, "What are you talking about?"
Gouzi snapped back to reality, feeling a chill at his chest, he found his T-shirt had been turned into rags without realizing when, leaving only the sleeves on his arms and the cloth on his back.
Gouzi was startled, "You... you..."
"What about me? You can’t even speak clearly, and you still want to rob people, want to steal... It’s really sad for you guys," Qin Qin scoffed, discarding the knife with disdain.
Gouzi, feeling humiliated, took out another knife from his pocket and pressed it against Qin Qin’s neck, "You wench, I’m not someone you can insult like this. Hand over your money immediately."
Qin Qin looked down at the knife at her neck and laughed it off, "Do you know what happened to the last person who held a knife to my neck?"
"I don’t care! You two, quickly search her for money," Gouzi spat, urging the other two thieves.
Thief A sighed and was about to move forward, while Thief B hesitated, not daring to proceed, and gave Qin Qin an apologetic look, "I’m sorry."
Thief A contemptuously glanced at Thief B and stepped forward first.
A cold light flashed in Qin Qin’s eyes, and with a swing of her long, shapely legs, she delivered a fierce kick to Thief A. At the same time, she grabbed Gouzi’s wrist and pulled it forward, breaking his knife-holding hand. With a forceful twist of her other elbow, she hit Gouzi hard, and he fell to the ground clutching his chest, howling in pain.
Meanwhile, Thief A was kicked against the wall and then fell to the ground. Thief B stood there, looking at his outstretched hand in bewilderment. He had just been about to search her when he saw the plight of his accomplices and didn’t dare to move.
Qin Qin looked at him with a mocking smile, "Actually, you should be glad you’re not as cruel as they are. Find an honest job; being a thief doesn’t suit you."
"I didn’t want to, really, but I have no other skills!" Thief B said dejectedly, looking down.
Just as Qin Qin was about to speak, she sensed someone creeping up behind her. Her eyebrows furrowed in annoyance, and she kicked backwards without looking, sending Gouzi back to the ground once more.
"You... you wretched woman, do you know who I am? How dare you hit me?" Gouzi clutched his stomach as he lay on the ground, glaring furiously at Qin Qin.
Qin Qin raised an eyebrow, "Oh, I do want to know. Who are you, exactly?"
How come so many people feel the need to ask her if she knows who they are as if that’s supposed to be impressive?
Gouzi stood up, haughtily lifting his head as if about to reveal some shocking truth, "I’m with the Qin Chamber of Commerce, do you know what that is? You’ve crossed me, and I can call a bunch of brothers to sort you out immediately, to show you the power of the Qin Chamber of Commerce."
That line had scared many people before.
Qin Qin almost laughed; she had expected him to say something formidable, but he came out with that line instead. If he only knew that the boss of the Qin Chamber of Commerce was her, she wondered how shocked he would be?
"Oh, the Qin Chamber of Commerce, huh? Is it really that impressive?" Qin Qin mused, stroking her chin thoughtfully.
Gouzi laughed heartily, "Of course it’s impressive! You’ve offended me, and your fate is sealed."
"Well, since you’re a member of the Qin Chamber of Commerce, then do you know the rules of the Qin Chamber of Commerce?"
A cold seriousness lay beneath Qin Qin’s seemingly amused expression.
"Rules?!" Gouzi was taken aback. How could he possibly know the rules of the Qin Chamber of Commerce? He had wanted to join the Chamber but lacked the qualifications. The last time the Chamber recruited, he was dismissed in the first round.
"One of the Qin Chamber of Commerce’s rules is that no member is allowed to cause trouble outside under the Chamber’s name. And if you really are a member, then let me kindly remind you, your future won’t be too bright," Qin Qin said smoothly, a chilling undertone in her voice.
