Chapter 184: Chapter 170: Mo Yunchen in Trouble_2

Mo Yunchen’s villa was located in a relatively secluded area. Although it wasn’t too large, it was exquisitely crafted in every detail. Countless bodyguards were stationed throughout the villa area, so aware of their surroundings that not even a fly could get in unnoticed.

After passing the security checks, Qin Qin’s car entered the villa area. Led by Mo Sheng, Qin Qin quickly stepped into the villa, without any time to look around Mo Yunchen’s residence. The servants, who were busy with their chores, stopped and stared at Qin Qin. It was the first time they had seen a woman, other than Miss Jing, enter this villa, and she appeared to be just of age.

It was uncertain who she was, but she had entered the villa under Assistant Sheng’s lead and seemed to be heading towards Master Mo’s room.

Mo Tang had been waiting at the second-floor staircase. Upon seeing Qin Qin, he happily approached her, "Miss Qin, you’ve finally arrived. What would I have done if you hadn’t come?"

Mo Sheng looked at his brother’s distressed face and sighed. It seemed that President Mo’s illness was indeed very serious this time, or else the normally composed Mo Tang wouldn’t be so flustered.

"Quick, take me to Mo Yunchen’s room," she said.

"Yes!"

The trio’s figures quickly disappeared at the stairwell, as several servants peeked out.

"Did you hear what that girl just said?"

"I heard it. She actually called Master Mo by his name? She’s too bold!"

"Neither Assistant Tang nor Assistant Sheng stopped her. Who is this girl?"

The crowd was very curious, yet they didn’t dare to come forward.

At the end of the second floor, in front of Mo Yunchen’s room, neither Mo Tang nor Mo Sheng dared to enter. They could only speak to Qin Qin, letting her go in by herself.

Qin Qin turned the doorknob, opened the door quietly, and entered the room. From what Mo Tang suggested, Mo Yunchen had already fallen into a deep sleep.

On the large black bed, Mo Yunchen’s tall figure rested quietly. She tiptoed towards him, noting the dark circles under his eyes and the faint tiredness on his face. Perhaps the poison was acting up, as his brows were tightly furrowed.

Feeling pity for him in his state, Qin Qin couldn’t help but extend her hand to smooth his furrowed brows. But before her hand could touch Mo Yunchen, his hand harshly clutched her right hand. His deep, narrow eyes, as dark as obsidian, opened sharply. When he saw it was her, joy flickered in his eyes, followed by gloominess.

"Why are you here? Leave this place!"

He didn’t want her to see him like this.

Qin Qin scoffed, "Mo Yunchen, look how tough you are, turning into this and still unwilling to tell me. I come all this way only to be dismissed by you? Fine, I’ll leave!"

She turned to leave in anger, but a large hand firmly grasped her delicate wrist, followed by his low, husky voice, "Don’t go, I’m sorry. I shouldn’t have spoken to you so loudly."

Turning back to look at the pale-faced Mo Yunchen, she had seen him suffering from the poison before, but he had never been in such a terrible state. Mo Tang had mentioned that he had been having bouts of poisoning over the past few days, yet he hadn’t told anyone.

She sat beside the bed and reached out to gently touch Mo Yunchen’s cheek, her eyes revealing her distress, "Fool, I know you didn’t want me to worry if I knew about your poisoning, but did you know that knowing you lied to me hurts me even more? Since we chose to be together, why wouldn’t you tell me? Or did you think I, Qin Qin, would despise you?"

How could she despise him? She was pained and regretted her previous indifference, having not taken his illness seriously. Now that they were together, she regretted it deeply.

Gripping Qin Qin’s hand, Mo Yunchen suddenly pulled her into his arms. His broad and sturdy embrace carried a familiar clean scent. Qin Qin wrapped her arms around Mo Yunchen’s waist.

"I promise you, I’ll never hide anything from you again!" Mo Yunchen’s breath spilled onto Qin Qin’s hair as his long, bonny fingers gently pulled her hand, not letting her escape.

Pushing him away, Qin Qin finally looked at him with satisfaction. The next moment, Mo Yunchen suddenly frowned as a tearing pain attacked him again. He clenched his teeth, forcing himself to remain calm, without showing any discomfort or pain, slightly raising the corners of his lips, his gaze softened.

Until he could bear it no longer, a trace of black blood leaked from the corner of his mouth. Qin Qin’s expression changed immediately, and she cupped Mo Yunchen’s cheeks with both hands, "You’re poisoned again?! Mo Yunchen, you’ve lied to me again!"

In a panic, she took out the medicine she had prepared for him from her bag, and without hesitation, she forcibly fed it to him, "This is the medicine I’ve made for you. It can only alleviate your poison, not cure it completely. To detoxify you completely, we’d still need a specific herb."
