Madam’s Awakening Shocks The Whole World
Chapter 120 - 118: Rescue 1

Chapter 120: Chapter 118: Rescue 1

Suburbs of Chuandu City, a certain village.

A roughly thirty-year-old woman with an out-of-town accent carried a basket of vegetables as she left the only villa somewhat far from the village. She walked directly along the road towards the main street, only encountering some locals after a while, occasionally greeting the passersby.

A low-profile, black van was parked in a hidden spot.

"Is it her?" Zhang Yue scrutinized the woman greeting pedestrians not far away. With a kind face and a friendly demeanor, it was hard to imagine her as a fierce human trafficker.

Qin Qin nodded. Zhang Yue gestured to two plainclothes colleagues behind him, including a forty-year-old middle-aged woman specifically chosen to lower the female trafficker’s guard.

The female police officer nodded, opened the car door, and walked out. Qin Qin leaned back in her seat, awaiting the outcome.

Seeing the relaxed posture of Qin Qin, all the nerves of the tense police officers were diffused as they marveled at her strong mentality, afraid that the traffickers might escape.

If Qin Qin really knew what they were thinking, she might say what was there to be nervous about, if these traffickers ran away, it would have no impact on her.

Zhang Yue looked at Qin Qin beside him and couldn’t help but ask, "How did you know she would come out at this time?!"

Qin Qin turned her head to look at Zhang Yue and revealed a profound look in her beautiful eyes. "Captain Xi, I’m ’Swindler.’"

Zhang Yue still couldn’t understand. Was Qin Qin really that amazing? Could she really predict where a person would go?

"Captain Xi, just watch carefully, you’re not afraid your prey will run away," Qin Qin said, her gaze fixed on the distance. The female police officer had already started talking to the trafficker, who seemed slightly on guard at first. Whatever the female police officer said, the trafficker relaxed her guard and began to chat warmly with her.

The trafficker then moved forward, with the female police officer following behind her.

"Move in!" Zhang Yue took out his walkie-talkie. On the other end, the female police officer wearing a concealed Bluetooth earpiece moved swiftly, grabbing the trafficker’s hand, cuffing her hands, and warning her to keep silent.

The woman trafficker displayed a look of shock and regret, realizing she had been tricked.

The female police officer took the trafficker to the black van.

Seeing so many people, the trafficker became frightened, "You... you must have the wrong person, I’m a good person!"

Her words choked upon seeing Qin Qin.

"Behave yourself. We know all about the crimes you’ve committed. We’ll round up all your accomplices soon and deal with you thoroughly. How dare you commit so many misdeeds?!" The female police officer unceremoniously threw the trafficker into the van, and the trafficker didn’t dare utter another word.

Zhang Yue looked at the woman trafficker, then said, "Confessing will be better for you. If you tell us about your accomplices, we will plead with the judge, and your sentence will be much lighter."

The woman trafficker lifted her head to glance at Zhang Yue, turned her head away stubbornly, and said nothing.

Zhang Yue’s expression darkened; this trafficker simply refused to see reason.

A soft laugh came from nearby, and then Zhang Yue glared at Qin Qin beside him, "Miss Qin."

"Captain Xi, don’t misunderstand, I just couldn’t help it. You can ignore me," said Qin Qin, sitting up straight with a slight smile.

The police officers nearby couldn’t help but laugh as well.

"There’s no need to interrogate her, she won’t say anything, especially with her husband among that gang."

As soon as Qin Qin finished speaking, the female trafficker who had turned her head earlier suddenly looked straight at Qin Qin, with shock and confusion in her eyes.

Qin Qin smiled at the female trafficker, "Doing wrong must be punished. You knew it was wrong, yet you still helped them commit crimes. There’s no excuse for that!"

The female trafficker hung her head in silence. She too had been scared and anxious, knowing her husband was involved in criminal activity. She had tried to talk him out of it, but eventually joined him in his wrongdoing. When had it all started? Was it when she received her first share of the profits, when she tasted the sweetness of selling the first child, or...? She couldn’t remember anymore. All she knew was that it was too late to turn back, and even though she knew she’d end up in jail one day, she couldn’t stop until she was in too deep.

Qin Qin ignored the internal struggle of the female trafficker and whispered to Zhang Yue, "Let’s get started!"

Zhang Yue looked at Qin Qin carefully, still shocked. He vividly remembered the words of the girl who was barely eighteen years old, who had said back at the police station that she would use herself as bait to infiltrate the traffickers and then signal the police to move in on them, ensuring the safety of the captured people.

"Do you... do you need someone else to do this? Handling so many people by yourself..." Even the typically tough Zhang Yue couldn’t help but worry, as this girl was the bravest he had ever seen.

"No need!" Doing it herself was relatively safer, and since she had decided to take on the task, there was no way Qin Qin would back down. That wasn’t her style.

She put on a small earring, which contained a positioning tracker.

As Qin Qin got out of the car, Zhang Yue watched her with complicated eyes, greatly admiring this girl named Qin Qin, who was not quite eighteen and yet had the courage to face such vicious criminals without a trace of fear or retreat.

In an old villa, the family that owned the house had all gone out of town. Because of its remote location, the villa had no tenants. However, one month ago, it welcomed new occupants. Cars were often seen coming and going, and the tenants, a few people familiar to the villagers, would greet them warmly, seemingly a decent bunch.

An eighteen-year-old girl, limping, walked towards the villa, her backpack bulging on her back.

The girl’s delicate face was furrowed with worry as she gently knocked on the door, "Is anyone there? Is anyone in?"

A man in his twenties, with a cigarette in his hand, walked out and startled at the sight of the girl. He then warily glanced behind her. Seeing no one else, he relaxed his guard and asked, "What do you want?!"

"Big brother, I twisted my ankle, and it hurts a lot. Could you let me come in and sit for a while?" Qin Qin showed a pitiful face.

The man eyed Qin Qin up and down, "Alone?!"

Qin Qin gave a bitter smile and lowered her head, "I had a fight with my family and thought I’d go out to clear my head."

The young man’s eyes lit up, and he immediately opened the villa door, cordially inviting Qin Qin in, "Come on in, we’re very hospitable here, don’t be shy."

Qin Qin put on a ’shy’ face, "Thank you, I’ll just sit for a bit and then I’ll leave."

Hearing Qin Qin say this, the young man’s face broke into a bigger smile, but he sneered inwardly, thinking she wouldn’t be leaving once she was in; a self-delivered piece of merchandise, and not a bad one at that, thinking she could leave?

The man closed the villa door directly behind him and eagerly invited Qin Qin into the villa.

Behind a tree, two men, each with a cigarette in hand, watched this scene and sneered wickedly.
