"Lust system": Rise of the Harem lord
Chapter 24: Corruption arrives

Chapter 24: Corruption arrives

The air in Elias’s room grew cold—unnaturally so. Even Lilith stepped back as a faint hum began to vibrate through the walls.

Then, the system chimed.

> [System Update: Warning – New Entity Detected.]

[Title: Corruptor of Bonds – Rogue Trial Architect]

[Threat Level: Unknown.]

Elias stood, blood pumping faster now. "That’s new."

Lilith frowned, lips tightening. "There’s something wrong. That name... it’s not part of the Lust System’s usual framework."

The window cracked on its own. Shadows spilled inside, like smoke swirling across a battlefield. From that darkness emerged a figure—tall, robed, faceless, and radiating a sense of corruption Elias had never felt before.

The system itself stuttered when trying to speak.

> [Error: Entity Not Recognized. Proceed with Caution.]

The figure raised its head. No face. Just a glowing sigil—a red spiral eating itself.

"Elias Black," it hissed, voice layered like a chorus of the damned. "You’ve impressed the system. But your restraint, your rules... they weaken you."

"I’m still standing," Elias replied coolly, already calling up his system blade.

The Corruptor chuckled. "You’ve passed their games, yes. But I offer you something more... freedom. Remove your restrictions. Take what you want from your harem. Burn through desire. Let instinct rule."

The girls outside the room—Lilith, Aya, even Mira—felt it. A pressure in their chests. Something dark was trying to pull at their emotions, amplify their jealousy, feed their chaos.

A psychic war had begun—and Elias was the prize.

"You think I’ll fall for that?" Elias growled, raising his blade.

"No," the Corruptor said calmly. "I think your girls will."

Suddenly, the door slammed open—and Aya stood there, eyes wide and confused. Behind her, Mira clutched her head like she was in pain. Even Lilith staggered back, clutching her heart.

The Corruptor extended a hand. "Their desire... is unbalanced. And your bonds are imperfect. I will use them... to break you."

[Survive 24 hours without losing a single Bonded Girl to Chaos.]

The room dissolved.

Elias blinked—and now he stood in a grand coliseum of light and shadow. Towering stands filled with echoes of old system hosts. Ghosts watching. Judging.

Across the arena, his girls stood—Aya, Lilith, Mira, and more—each wearing system-induced armor, but their eyes glazed, half-possessed.

They would fight him.

Not because they wanted to—but because the Corruptor had turned their affection into obsession.

Lilith stepped forward, blades of crimson light in her palms. "Forgive me..."

Elias’s grip tightened on his blade. He didn’t want to hurt them—but if he hesitated, they’d destroy everything they’d built together.

He’d have to do what the system never taught him:

Fight for their sanity, not his survival.

The coliseum echoed with the clash of blades as Lilith lunged first—her red energy twin daggers flashing like lightning. Elias deflected the strike just in time, skidding back across the cracked floor. The force behind her attacks wasn’t just strength—it was rage... corrupted, amplified.

"Lilith—snap out of it!" Elias shouted, but her response was a war cry, unnatural and twisted.

Behind her, Aya sprinted in with a whirlwind of blue fire in her palms, tears falling down her cheeks even as her face twisted with aggression. "Make it stop, Elias... please!"

She hurled a blast at him.

He dove aside.

Mira hovered above the arena, her eyes glowing purple, mechanical wings sprouting from her back. "System override in progress. Target: Elias Black. Execution mode active."

It was every nightmare Elias never admitted to himself—his closest companions, the women he’d protected, now turned against him. Not by their will, but by the Corruptor’s curse.

And all he could do was fight back without killing them.

The system chimed in his mind:

> [New Skill Unlocked – Soul Echo Blade Lv.1]

"Convert physical attacks into emotional projections. Damage converted to Memory Resonance."

Perfect.

He let the blade in his hand hum with light—then charged straight at Lilith. She met him with a vicious arc of her daggers, but this time, his strike didn’t spark steel—it triggered a flash of memory between them.

The day they first met.

Her smirk when she called him "pathetic."

The first moment she hesitated before kissing him.

The moment she cried, not for herself, but for him.

Lilith gasped, stumbling back. Her eyes flickered—clear for just a second. "E-Elias?"

Aya took her place. She moved fast—too fast. He barely dodged her flame punch, but then tapped her shoulder with the hilt of his blade.

Another flash.

The night she stayed awake watching over him.

The time she asked if she could just... hold his hand.

The look in her eyes when she said, "I trust you, even if you don’t trust yourself."

She froze mid-strike, panting. "I... remember."

The Corruptor roared above the coliseum, shadowy tendrils flaring outward. "NO! They are mine now! You were never meant to awaken them!"

But Elias stood tall, the Soul Echo Blade pulsing in his hand.

"You messed with the wrong heart," he muttered, eyes fierce.

One by one, the girls approached him in a haze of broken will—Mira last. She launched missiles, lasers, and everything her upgraded form could produce. Elias dodged, weaving between blasts, until he reached her.

Just a tap.

Just one swing.

A memory surged—her voice in a quiet corridor.

"I don’t care about the system. I care about you, even if you won’t let yourself feel."

Her systems glitched. She dropped mid-air, caught in Elias’s arms. Her gaze flickered back to normal.

Then...

Silence.

The Corruptor shrieked in agony. "You fool! You let yourself feel too much! That will be your downfall!"

Elias raised his head, his eyes glowing with new energy—half fury, half clarity.

"No. That’s what makes me unstoppable."

The coliseum dissolved, leaving Elias and his girls back in the bedroom—disoriented, tired, but alive.

Lilith sat against the wall, arms wrapped around herself. Aya leaned on Elias’s shoulder, while Mira simply stared out the window, silent.

No one spoke for a long moment.

Then Elias said, "We’re going to war soon. And I won’t pretend this system is on our side anymore."

Aya looked up. "So what now?"

He clenched his fist.

"Now... we rewrite the rules."
