"I’m surprised you can still stand after that, I was the one that cast the spell but I’m still tired, and why are you naked" the girl asked.

"I didn’t have time to protect my clothes from my flame so they got burnt, and you are definitely going to regret doing that" Freya muttered as she took a step forward and fell on her knee.

"Turn out you need time to rest after all, that’s the problem with spells like this, we have family to teach us advanced spells but our bodies aren’t strong enough to handle it" the lightning girl muttered.

"One student has been eliminated," the voice said again as one of the girls who was on the ground fainted.

Ethan mustered his strength and finally raised his head so he could see, now that the smoke had dispersed he could see all the students but all of them were on the ground like him.

Freya stood up again as she finally caught her breath, the lightning girl also stood up waiting to see what would happen but Freya opened her storage ring.

"Do you think this is the first time my clothes got burnt by my flames, there are only six girls left, if you run towards the finish line you are going to make it" Freya spoke.

"Really, and you think that’s the best course of action for me, I can still fight and even if I can’t produce an attack as powerful as that, you wouldn’t be able to beat me" she spoke.

"Why do you think I volunteered, because I’m sure if we fight one on one, I’m going to win" Freya spoke as she wore the top brought out of her storage ring.

The lightning girl watched as she wore her clothes, it’s not that she couldn’t attack but she was weakened by the last spell and the girls that were still here were all as powerful as her.

Freya Crimson, Crystal Lens, Maria Heart, Mabel Mangus, and the lightning girl, Edith Storm, the five noble families that have produced the best warriors in this kingdom, and all of them were here.

The Lens family were known for their affinity to earth magic, and Crystal also had healing abilities.

The Heart family was known for their barrier magic that could be used for even attacking, and Maria was the first member of the family with a dual attribute of barrier and sensory magic.

The Mangus family was known to be good at spell casting in general, most of the current family members had different spells but were the best among their peers, Mabel’s sister was currently the top 1 among the third year students.

Then the Storm family, the best when it comes to wind and air, but Edith was the first member to awaken a lightning attribute so her mother made sure all she did was train all her life.

"You know, it’s quite what I expected, since you used a lightning spell I knew this would happen, so I focused my energy on defense first and it paid off" Crystal muttered as she stood up.

"Do you really think an attack like that would have any effect on me" Maria spoke as she also stood up.

"It seems only the five of us are left, maybe we should bury the hatchet and pass the test, it’ll be a shame if I have to fight with anyone here" Mabel spoke.

"We aren’t the only ones here" Edith spoke as she pointed towards Ethan who was getting on his feet.

"He’s not like those wimpy males, he’s actually powerful" Freya spoke.

"But he wouldn’t be able to pass the test since we are already five here, I’ve given up on the fight and I’m the fastest here so I’m going to pass" Edith muttered as she turned around and dashed forward and none of the girls chased after her.

"I hope she realizes that the forest is crawling with beasts" Maria muttered as she sat back on the ground.

"A handsome and powerful male, I had a dream that such a male existed but I thought it was just a dream" Mabel muttered.

"Should we attack him or leave him be, ohh he’s looking at us" Crystal muttered.

Ethan was now on his feet but he was still tired, some of his Mana had been restored but if any of the girls decided to attack him in this state then he would definitely lose, and from the looks of it, four females were still standing there while the lightning girl was running towards the forest at an insane speed.
