"Finally we can catch our breath" the tall girl muttered as she turned the ice back to water and the dead body of the wolf fell into the stream.

The other three wolves moved backward till they were far away from the stream and closer to the forest, the wolves were smart enough to realize that getting close to the water was deadly but they didn’t retreat instead one of the wolves howled loudly signaling the rest of the wolves.

Soon more of the wolves began howling inside the forest and the wolves turned towards the girls growling and barking but still maintaining their position away from the water.

"Even if you call in reinforcement, it won’t make a difference because we are not in the forest anymore" the wind girl spoke as she walked out of the stream with the wind girl and both of their eyes caught a figure dashing forward with speed.

Ethan muttered and his sword caught on fire as he slashed through four hind legs before that last wolf dodged, he quickly swung his sword toward the last wolf who jumped away avoiding Ethan’s sword.

Before the wolves could realize the situation they were in, two of the wolves were already crippled and yelping in pain as their hind legs were completely cut off by Ethan.

Ethan quickly went after the last wolf but the wolf dodged two of his attacks and turned around to run when its legs were stuck to the ground, the hard surface of the ground had turned into mud and was sinking the wolf’s legs.

Ethan smiled as the head of the wolf was sent flying, the girls all watched as he separated the heads from the other two wolves before walking towards them.

"Why would I run away when you were in danger, I knew if I break off the wolf would focus their attention on you, and since the fire, I think their sense of smell was affected by the smoke so it was easy to kill the other two you girls stopped and these guys too.

"We would have won without your help, we already defeated intermediate-level wolves, so this is nothing" the flame girl spoke.

"Then I can have the crystals right?" Ethan asked.

"Hey we also need 1 more intermediate tier crystal, so you can keep the rest except, just hand one over"

"No problem" Ethan muttered as he dragged all the wolves’ bodies to one spot while the tall girl used the water to bring the last body over and Ethan used his sword and began to gut the wolves removing their crystals.

"More of the wolves are coming, but they are just basic tier, we already completed ours, should I just cover us with an ice shield" the tall girl asked.

"I still need some basic tier crystals, I’ll be happy if you can kill some of them for me" Ethan spoke as he looked at the girls.

"Sure, no problem...you guys should move over there" the tall girl muttered immediately, she wanted to make Ethan indebted to her so she could have an excuse to ask him to continue what they were doing earlier.

"I’m done" Ethan muttered as he cut through the last wolf and turned around.

"Wow" Ethan muttered as he saw what she did, he would have been more impressed but nothing ice-like could impress him since he had seen Selena’s magical domain.

From what Ethan saw he could count at least 20 wolves, the rest of them turned around and ran back into the forest since they were no match for the group in front of them, and since no intermediate tier wolves were around, the basic-tier wolves wasted no time in running with their lives.

Ethan had all they needed to pass the test, they already had a king tier crystal, and he had just obtained more than two intermediate tier crystals, all he had to do now was guy the crystals out of the wolves in front of him and go back then his group had passed the test.

But the girls behind him would never let him go back as he turned around, all five of them were staring at him and licking their lower lips which could only mean one thing.
