Chapter 20: Chapter 20: You Have No Right to Judge Me and Arlo Seys!
Such cold brows and eyes, the sculpted features, were exactly the same as in memory, unchanged in the slightest.
Even with just one photo, devoid of any trace of a smile, it was apparent that his temperament had become even more indifferent than before, emanating a cold aura of unapproachability.
Ariel Morris’s fingertips lightly grazed over the photo on the paper, gently stroking between the brows and eyes, softly murmuring, "Arlo Seys, these years, have you been well?"
Looking at his photo, recalling his aversion and coldness upon their meeting, Ariel Morris felt extreme discomfort in her heart.
Eighteen years after parting, upon reuniting, she didn’t even dare to ask, Arlo Seys, do you hate me?
He probably does hate me, his attitude when they met said it all.
Actually, Ariel Morris, it’s all your own doing, this is karma.
"Ariel Morris!"
The sound of the door being pushed open came with a dissatisfied yell.
Ariel Morris heard the voice, folded the paper in her hand, and held it tightly.
She turned around to see Scarlett Morris storming in angrily, and said in a calm tone, "Knock before entering my room next time."
Scarlett Morris stepped towards Ariel Morris in high heels.
Ariel Morris, wearing house slippers, was about the same height as Scarlett Morris, but Scarlett’s brows and eyes carried an unyielding arrogance and disdain, while Ariel’s face remained peacefully undisturbed.
Looking at Ariel Morris, Scarlett Morris’s words were full of sarcasm, "Ariel Morris, how do you still have the face to find Arlo Seys? He was so good to you back then! And you actually dumped him! Now, how dare you show up?!"
Ariel Morris avoided Scarlett Morris’s aggressive gaze, turning around in silence to sort out the documents on the table.
Seeing her unruffled manner, Scarlett’s anger flared a few notches higher, and she unabashedly swept the documents Ariel was tidying onto the floor.
The folded paper in Ariel’s hand also scattered on the ground, and she instinctively squatted down to pick it up.
With quick reflexes, Scarlett Morris picked up the paper first, glancing at Ariel with curiosity about its contents, intending to open it.
"Give it back!" Ariel Morris, usually quiet, let out a soft shout, then took advantage of Scarlett’s momentary daze to snatch it back.
Ariel was swift, and Scarlett, stunned by her shout, realized the paper had already been taken back by Ariel when she came to her senses.
Ha, this was the first time Ariel Morris had ever resisted her actions! Scarlett found it interesting, more curious about what could make the usually lifeless Ariel Morris react.
"Ariel Morris, what’s with your big reaction? Did you do something shameful?"
After her sneer, Scarlett Morris tried to snatch the paper from Ariel’s hand again.
Ariel used the force to push Scarlett away, then took a couple of steps back, her expression now showing displeasure, "Scarlett Morris, don’t push your luck!"
Scarlett snorted, "Ariel Morris, after bullying you for so many years, you finally reacted? Tsk, it wasn’t easy."
Ariel couldn’t be bothered to deal with her; people like Scarlett become more addicted the more attention you give them!
She walked to the door, coldly made a ’please’ gesture towards Scarlett, issuing an eviction order.
Scarlett gave Ariel Morris a hard stare, "Ariel Morris, you’re just an adopted daughter of the Morris Family! Your status is not worthy of the Crown Prince of the Seys Family!"
Ariel Morris raised her eyes and met Scarlett’s gaze indifferently, "Have you finished? If you’re done, please leave, I need my afternoon rest."
Seeing that Scarlett still had no intention of leaving, Ariel walked over, grabbed her arm, and pulled her out, ’inviting’ her out of the door. She added casually, "Scarlett, what goes on between Arlo Seys and me is not for you to judge! Don’t think I’m unaware of your little tricks!...
