Chapter 116: Chapter 116: The Sack has No Overcoat
They all shifted their gaze to the figure sprawled across the desk, even sleeping like a hooligan.
Her legs were assertively and carelessly spread apart, using a book to casually block the light, her hair strands exuding a rebellious flare.
However, her bun hairstyle was somewhat inexplicably cute.
Several times they wanted to laugh when they saw her bun, but her intimidating gaze scared them into holding it back.
This year, all the female medical staff had their hair cut into buzz cuts or gone bald, so they felt that for the boss to cut her hair this short was already the limit of her tolerance.
There was an internet celebrity who had gone bald before, and it looked pretty good.
The boss was much better looking than that internet celebrity, she would definitely look good bald too.
In the afternoon after school, they went for a meal.
It had been a long time since they had eaten at a street stall, and they dragged Yun Yue along in a group to have spicy hot pot at a roadside stall.
The owner was a couple in their sixties. They found out that this pair of grandparents was quite pitiable, relying solely on the income from the stall to make a living, and they even had a high school senior at home.
The student studied at the First Middle School and was in a top-tier class with good grades. She would sometimes help out her grandparents after school. She had a standard look, pretty neat; the only thing was her personality was a bit introverted and she didn’t talk much.
Her grades were good too, often ranking within the top five of the first class.
Due to the pandemic, they hadn’t put out their stall for several months, and their income had been cut off. Now that the pandemic had eased a little and the government allowed it, they had started again, otherwise, the whole family would have starved.
Their class seven all liked eating their hot pot; the meat was fresh, and the broth delicious.
"Granny Chen, Grandpa Chen, we’ll take ten of each item, same as usual," Yang Xing announced, his voice booming as he sat on the shiny, clean stool.
The table was fitted with dividers; only four people could sit at one table.
"Alright, young Yang," Grandpa Chen replied with a smile, filling a basket with ten servings before starting to cook.
Wang Ning stood up to get some condiments. "Boss, do you want medium spicy, mildly spicy, or not spicy at all?"
"Not spicy," she said, her gaze resting on the two cheerful elderly people. They were very sanitary, wearing masks, even covering up their hair.
Their movements were slightly slow but orderly.
The group had already started drooling at the smell.
When the food was served, Yang Xing seemed surprised. "There’s so much meat today? Grandpa Chen, did you put in too much by mistake?"
"Today is the first day we’ve reopened. It’s really nice of you guys to come and support our little business. We’ve added an extra skewer of meat for each of you," Grandpa Chen smiled.
"Thank you so much; it’s still that delicious taste," Yang Xing said, thanking them before starting to eat. He knew the couple wasn’t having an easy time and had once treated the whole of class seven to their hot pot.
And from then on, class seven fell in love with the taste, coming to eat at least twice a week.
That had helped pick up the couple’s business.
After the meal, Yang Xing paid the bill generously, including the extra meat they had been given; meat was expensive, and he couldn’t let them lose out on the ten extra skewers.
"It’s not too much, just right," Yang Xing said with a smile. Grandpa Chen was adamant about not accepting a penny more; Yang Xing left the money and ran off.
Grandpa Chen clenched the money in his hand and sighed as he watched the distant group disappear, moved, "Ah, these kids."
Under a big tree opposite the gates of First Middle School, a group of girls circled up, with an aggressive attitude as they pushed and pulled each other, bullying someone.
Wang Ning, with his good eyesight, looked through the crowd and caught a glimpse of the bullied girl’s face; she was cowering and looking terrified.
"Ah! Isn’t that Grandpa Chen’s granddaughter?"
"What! Those girls aren’t even from the first class, and there’s Liang Qian. Today I finally found my chance. Do we have the sack ready?"
"Huh?" A sack?
They were stunned.
"Come on, Liang Qian said we’d cover her with a sack and give her a beating. Don’t miss your chance now."
Wang Ning had already charged over because he saw Liang Qian raise her hand ready to strike.
"No sack, but I have a jacket!" Liu Xiaopang chuckled wickedly, took off his jacket, revealing his round belly.
Absolutely not!
Lin Xuanze had just come out to buy some snacks when he saw a group from Class Seven charging furiously across the street. They threw a jacket over a girl’s head and covered her completely.
The other girls around were so scared they lost their nerve and started running. He could see clearly; they were girls from the First Middle School who usually bullied the weaker students, relying on their families’ wealth.
They were so bold!
He thought he caught a glimpse of Liang Qian’s panicked half-face and couldn’t help but stare in shock!
He strode over.
"What are you doing?"
They were dragging Liang Qian to a secluded corner, and they hadn’t expected Lin Xuanze to come rushing over. For a moment, they felt guilty.
He was from the First Middle School too. They were punishing one of their own. He wouldn’t intervene, would he?
If he did intervene, he was the big shot’s brother. Should they defer to him out of respect?
Such a dilemma!
Liang Qian was being uncooperative, trying to break free.
Yang Xing’s large hands gripped her flailing arms tightly.
Beneath the coat, Liang Qian sweated profusely, tears streaming down her face. She had never experienced such a scene before.
Yang Xing simply lifted the coat, revealing a face that looked neither ghost nor human.
"What do you, what do you want to do?!"
Liang Qian stepped back in fear. Had Class Seven gone mad?
"Is it only okay for you to bully the weak, but not for us?"
"I’ve been fed up with you for a long time! Today, I must teach you a good lesson!"
Yang Xing grinned wickedly, his fist as large as a sandbag directly lunging at her face.
"Ah ah ah! Help!"
Liang Qian was utterly terrified. The group from Class Seven was capable of anything. She didn’t know where the strength came from, but she pushed them away and ran madly toward the gate of First Middle School.
Her panicked eyes met Yun Yue’s mocking and flamboyant gaze, with a flash of chilling coldness quickly sweeping the bottom of her eyes.
It was her!
She must’ve asked the people from Class Seven to do this!
She must hate her, which is why she told the people from Class Seven to stand up for her.
She would never let this go!
"Tch! Coward! Can’t even take a scare!" Yang Xing sneered contemptuously. With such little courage, she still dared to bully others!
"Is she going to tell the teachers?" Liu Xiaopang was a bit worried. She didn’t seem like the type to let things go easily.
Yang Xing smiled in all seriousness, "She wouldn’t dare. She started the bullying. My family is rich, and her family actually has business dealings with mine. She wouldn’t dare offend me."
"..."
You’re just showing off your wealth in a roundabout way.
"That’s it?" Lin Xuanze’s eyes widened in disbelief, scaring her was letting her off too easily.
"What, you really want to beat her up? I’m a good student; I don’t hit people!"
"We’re good students too. Hitting people is wrong."
Wang Ning glanced at him and said, "You’re from the First Middle School, right? We thought you were coming to save her."
"Tch! She’s been annoying me for so long!" He smirked and snorted with disdain. He had wanted to teach her a lesson for a long time.
"Alright then! Let’s go! Time for some milk tea!" Yang Xing slung an arm over his shoulder. Turns out they were birds of a feather!
