Chapter 108: Can’t Carry Class Seven
Chapter 108: Chapter 108: Can’t Carry Class Seven
Mo Fan and Xiao Bai were already accustomed to bizarre occurrences, but Snow Wolf and the others were quite shocked.
The myth of the unbeatable Other Shore Flower truly wasn’t unfounded. Bullets whizzed by her without making her blink, standing there composedly in the same spot, her calmness was terrifying. At such a distance, despite various obstacles in the way, she shot a target two hundred meters away right in the head.
This was their first time cooperating with her, and they realized just how vast the gap was between them.
Whether it was mindset, skills, or strength, they were all far behind her, even Snow Wolf.
No wonder she could become an unbeatable myth; if she wanted to kill someone, who could possibly escape?
"Boss, shall we celebrate a bit? T City has a lot of great food and fun places." Mo Fan looked at her; she had wanted to come to Z City for the longest time but just never had the chance.
"Remember to call the police uncle to clean up the scene," she said with a wickedly curved lip corner, eyes cold and eerie that were visible, giving everyone the chills.
The number one big shot of the assassin world, Other Shore Flower, actually calling the police uncle—a truly bizarre scene.
"It’s not appropriate to dine out during the pandemic, be a good citizen."
She was clad in a black trench coat, walking with an air of defiance, her stride cool and arrogant, her silhouette wild and unrestrained, her voice truly pleasant to the ear—it was hard to believe that the top assassin was so good-looking!
"Got it, got it, but we can order takeout, right?" Mo Fan said with a laugh, following her, ready to cash in again.
Xiao Bai swiftly dialed the emergency number and followed quickly, the group vanishing into the abandoned chemical plant.
By the time they returned to the hotel, it had grown dark. T City wasn’t as cold as Lan City, so they ordered takeout and began to dine in the hotel room.
This was their first collaboration; they were usually lone wolves, so it was quite an accomplishment to gather so many together this time.
"Boss, what do you usually do?" Cang Leng, who was ranked fifth on the Golden Net leaderboard, was quite curious as he looked at her.
Those beside him also turned to Yun Yue, wanting to see how she would respond.
She leaned back casually on the sofa, legs crossed, nibbling on a macaron cake, her eyebrows arching, her petite face serious, "Studying."
Studying?! Did they understand that correctly?!
"University studies? That sounds about right," Cang Leng nodded. She did look to be in her early twenties, so it was the right age for that.
A mischievous smile played on the corners of her lips, her eyes slanted up, wild yet demonic. Lifting her gaze to rest on them, she said lazily, "High school! Senior year!"
"?!"
"Choke, choke!"
They were choked by the delicious food in their mouths. Were their ears hallucinating?!
Senior year?!
Impossible!
Cang Leng’s throat was scratchily blocked by a few grains of rice, and he looked up in astonishment at the beautiful girl on the sofa, looking relaxed and unconcerned, "How old are you this year?!"
"17," she said, lifting her face, a teasing smile on her lips, her brown eyes carrying a devilish spark.
Mo Fan and Xiao Bai shrugged, continuing to eat their skewers with composure. They had told them she was a high school student yet they didn’t believe it—now they must believe it.
Under Yun Yue’s supervision, they quickly finished eating and stayed in their own rooms as she said, considering the pandemic, they had to cherish their lives.
As he left, Cang Leng asked her again, triple-checking that she wasn’t joking before floating out of the room, eyes wide, in disbelief!
Yun Yue chuckled softly, her eyelids drooping as she fiddled with her phone, the corners of her lips curled in a faint sneer.
The next morning, Mo Fan drove her and Xiao Bai back to Lan City.
Lan City was still under lockdown; they were only allowed out because they had obtained approval from Wei Guohang.
This year was destined to be an unusual Spring Festival.
Yun Yue sat in the car and saw the message about the commission being deposited. She raised an eyebrow; it was surprisingly quick.
She logged into Golden Net and sent a private message to the employer, "Pleasure doing business."
The other party’s account was anonymous. She never inquired about the employer’s true identity when accepting orders. She also had her principles: don’t kill the good, exterminate the bad.
Dividing the cut from this job among those people should ensure they have a good New Year.
By the time she returned to the Lin Family, it was already 8 p.m. Yun Yue got out of the car, thought of something, then went back, digging out a gun from her bag, "Take this gun. It’s not safe to leave it at the Lin Family. Lin Xiang is easy to fool, but Lin Xuanze is not."
With his habit of startling easily, if he discovered this was a real gun, he’d broadcast it loud enough to be heard ten miles away.
"Oh, I’ll keep it for you then," Mo Fan said with some surprise as he took the gun. It was an old model from a few years back, and he wondered why the boss had always carried it with her, it seemed quite precious to her.
She watched the two of them leave before she opened the door and walked in. The cabbages and radishes in the vegetable patch were thriving, each quite large.
She entered the Lin Family home, typing in the password. At this time, everyone was sitting on the sofa watching TV. Lin Xuanze was not there; he had been dragged away by Class Seven for tutoring.
If it wasn’t for the fact that he was somewhat useful, she would have kicked him out of the group chat a long time ago.
"You’re back so soon, have you had dinner?" Lin Xiang asked with surprise, as she had thought she wouldn’t come back until tomorrow.
"Mm," she said as she walked from the entryway into the living room, a gust of warm air hitting her face, softening the stiffness in her expression, "I’m heading upstairs."
Lin Xiang didn’t mind and continued to crunch on sunflower seeds, watching TV. She’d make her some hot milk and take it upstairs later.
Lin Xuanze’s door was ajar, and the sound of his frustrated voice came from his room.
Yun Yue, raising an eyebrow, walked over and leaned lazily against the door frame, eyeing his room with a playful look. Various prized figurines had been collected, quite a display of wealth.
Her gaze fell on the silhouette at the desk, on a voice call, seemingly irate and frantically pulling at his hair.
"Argh! How can you be so dumb! I’ve given you the formulas, and you still can’t bring them into the exam. When I try to explain, you don’t get it, it’s infuriating!"
He was so angry that he stood on the chair and started to jump.
It boggled her how Yun Yue managed to whip Class Seven, this bunch of dead weights, into shape. Every time she tutored them, he felt exhausted, pulling out all the stops just to get them to understand.
Yang Xing retorted directly, "Your explanations are so complex, who could understand them? The big boss keeps it simple, much better, eh? Sorry man, you just don’t cut it!"
"?! " Lin Xuanze’s eyes widened. How dare they say he wasn’t up to it?!
"I may not be up to it, but I’m still better than you all. I understood all the material she provided. Did you?"
Class Seven: "..."
They couldn’t argue back. He really was bad at gaming, but intellectually and academically, they couldn’t compete with him.
"Gu Yue, you explain to them!"
Lin Xuanze gave up in exasperation, opening a bottle of Coke. The icy liquid cooled his ire somewhat.
Gu Yue took over reluctantly. Honestly, his explanations weren’t any better than Lin Xuanze’s, it was just that Yun Yue had gone over the material before, and he had grasped it a bit deeper than Lin Xuanze had.
She leaned against the door, letting out a snicker with a carefree, roguish glint in her eyes.
Lin Xuanze turned around suddenly, and the sight of that defiant, unruly face that seemed to mock him sent him tumbling from the chair. When had she come back? How long had she been standing at the door listening?!
