Chapter 327: Chapter 327: Arrival (Silver Commemoration for "The Sun and Moon in the Pot, the Universe in the Sleeve!")

Federation Year 668, April 1.

The business at Whisperer Bar was terribly dull.

The entire bar was empty, with hardly any customers.

Zhong Shenxiu actually quite liked the current atmosphere, standing quietly behind the bar, mixing himself a Bloody Mary, slowly savoring it.

A graceful yet somewhat weary figure walked in from outside—it was Julie.

"In light of the deteriorating security situation in Byron City, the city hall has issued a curfew. No one except official personnel is allowed out at night..."

She lightly sat down in front of the bar. "Not only that... I’ve heard that the Federation Congress is preparing to introduce a stricter Prohibition law, even granting unlimited enforcement power to Prohibition agents... This means they can arrest anyone suspected, or even shoot them dead... Your moonshine business is about to be doomed."

"I don’t really mind, as I’ve made enough money, I might as well get out... After that, I can switch to other businesses, and who knows, maybe I’ll become some sort of tycoon with these initial earnings."

Zhong Shenxiu spoke indifferently, "But such stringent laws aren’t normal; obviously, the Church is pushing it from behind, right?"

"That’s natural, after all, Sui Sui and the Master of Black Blood are mortal enemies! The Federation wouldn’t allow the Master of Black Blood to expand his influence through alcohol..."

Julie shook her head.

The Mesoamerican Federation was never wholly a secular power; rather, those extraordinary beings hidden behind the scenes were its foundation.

Therefore, the policies were completely different from the examples Zhong Shenxiu remembered.

Even if there were problems with the initial implementation of the Prohibition Act, it continued to be enforced with even greater rigor.

Perhaps next time, it would be a mystical person serving as a Prohibition agent.

Just then, both of them sensed something and looked towards the entrance.

A profound darkness emerged, and a semi-transparent figure walked out from it.

It was Angel!

She wore a snow-white outfit, radiating spirituality, clearly having become an ’extraordinary being’. She pouted discontentedly, "Not impressive at all. I thought you would be amazed."

Since the last time she revealed some things, she had grown increasingly fond of coming to Whisperer Bar.

She even boldly revealed that she had received mystical support and advanced to become an extraordinary being.

"Welcome."

Zhong Shenxiu smiled back, mixing a Bloody Mary and handing it to her.

Angel smiled, squinting her eyes, took the cocktail, and like a proud little schoolgirl, shared her progress and excitement in mysticism with them.

"The Flaying Club... I’ve never heard of this organization that worships the Master of Black Blood, but from your description, they are very powerful, perhaps a pseudonym for some ancient organization... It’s quite dangerous."

Julie couldn’t help but warn her.

Yes, previously under Zhong Shenxiu’s introduction, these two had also candidly exchanged some information, each knowing that the other was no ordinary person.

"I know, but I think they are nice people, they haven’t restricted me in any way, instead, they have taught me a lot kindly..."

Angel nonchalantly replied. "Besides... isn’t Li Wei also a Believer of the Master of Black Blood? Maybe you could try buying some high-level knowledge of the boiling blood realm from me!"

"Thanks for the offer, but I don’t need it at the moment."

Zhong Shenxiu listened with a grin to Angel’s chattering about going to search for Alice and other matters after breaking through the Pure White Wilderness.

Julie, with her right hand supporting her chin, suddenly sighed, "Youth is wonderful..."

"Have you made any progress in your investigation?"

Zhong Shenxiu casually handed over a plate of fruit and asked,

"Is there something wrong? The atmosphere in Byron City has become rather strange lately... a lot of strangers have come... Perhaps, the watchmaker and the old drunkard just provoked the wrong people and were silenced... and these kinds of random killings are often the hardest to solve, even with the use of mysterious methods."

Because the perpetrators are also mysterious entities, possessing certain anti-divination and anti-prophecy resistances.

For instance, at Zhong Shenxiu’s current rank, only a few adept at divination and labeled as ’the perfected’ could possibly trace his subtle clues.

After a pleasant conversation, Angel, having had a few drinks, left the bar with a delighted expression on her face.

"Ah, today was another joyful day."

"The food at the club is delicious, and the liquor at the bar is great too."

"Li Wei, the boss, is a nice person; Perhaps I can give him some mysterious knowledge; He is a follower of the ’Master of Black Blood,’ which should be of use to him."

"And Alice, once I become an ’Excellencer,’ I will be able to completely free myself from constraints and chase after the freedom that belongs to me."

Despite the curfew, it obviously couldn’t hinder an ’Extraordinary.’

Angel adjusted the bow tie on her collar, and a layer of darkness emerged, concealing her within.

This was a little trinket given to her by the club; at least ordinary people couldn’t see through this disguise, allowing members to move around easily.

"I don’t know why, but since last time, I’ve come to like this place even more... Could it be, I’ve fallen for Li Wei?"

Angel’s mind reverberated with thoughts that made her blush and heart pound as she was about to return to school, but suddenly something felt off.

It seemed that a shadow had swooped across the sky.

She abruptly looked up, only to see a monster perched atop a nearby building!

It had a human torso but was covered with blood-red hair on its limbs and hideous meat wings on its back.

The ears were pointed and the nose had been completely decayed, leaving behind two black holes; on the grotesque face, the tongue stretched out like a long worm, splitting at the end into another mouth filled with sharp teeth.

"What is this monster? A vampire?!"

Angel suddenly felt a powerful fear seizing her soul; she couldn’t even move her fingers.

And the protective layer of darkness clearly couldn’t block the monster’s prying eyes.

"Blood Key?"

Just then, a cold voice came from the side.

Angel, thrilled, turned her head and saw a silver-haired gentleman wearing a mask; she recognized him as the organizer of the club—Richardson, a talkative and tolerant elder.

"Save... save me!"

A glimmer of hope flashed in Angel’s eyes.

Richardson, however, did not look at her but instead stared at the disgusting monster and lamented, "The ’Blood Key’ has followed the mysterious response and come here?"

"The keys of blood, flesh, and bone, after the ritual starts, will be influenced by the mysterious force and automatically congregate together!"

"And that it is coming here, rather than this girl going there, implies that the congregational force is stronger here... Hence, the ’Meat Key’ is also here."

"The Triangle of Power being gathered, the site of the Sixth Blood Cup War will be Byron City!"

Richardson spoke in an almost chanting tone, revealing a terrifying truth.

And although Angel didn’t quite understand, her intuition foresaw something dreadful about to happen, and her heart couldn’t help but sink...
