Lingering Doting Marriage: Big Boss, Little Sweet Heart -
Chapter 1414 - Chapter 1414 Chapter 1414 I Thought He Remembered
Chapter 1414: Chapter 1414: I Thought He Remembered Chapter 1414: Chapter 1414: I Thought He Remembered Enna Clark had no idea that Miranda Lewis had put the entire bill on her.
She had only noticed that a few minutes after Scott Harris left, the people who had been slowly packing up on the beach had finished, and the whole beach was cleared out at lightning speed.
With fewer people around, the beach looked much more comfortable. The white, fine sand seemed to be coated with a layer of gold under the sunlight, blending into the deep blue sea.
Enna finally understood why this place had been turned into a vacation resort, because this stretch of beach was simply too beautiful.
The crescent-shaped beach seemed to embrace the sea, creating its own world that made one itch to walk barefoot along the water’s edge.
Enna did just that, slipping off her sandals and stepping into the seawater.
The water wasn’t as cold as she had imagined. Perhaps because of the weather, the water near the beach had been warmed by the sun, and stepping into it felt more like stepping into a Hot Spring, warm and comfortable.
Enna couldn’t help but squint her eyes as she walked around the beach.
After walking a round, she suddenly remembered she wasn’t alone and turned her head back to look towards the beach.
Not far away, a handsome man in a bathrobe leaned on a beach lounge chair, casually wearing sunglasses on his chiseled face.
Next to him, a waiter carefully placed a variety of chilled fruit juices on the coffee table beside him.
Scott Harris stood by his side respectfully, but besides him, Enna noticed that the entire beach area was surrounded by security.
As she was still in shock, Baron Lawrence had already seen her and lightly touched his thin lips, saying “Come here, have some water.”
“Oh,” Enna walked over.
Seeing her cheeks flushed from the sun, Baron’s lower abdomen responded again.
Damn it!
He narrowed his hawk-like eyes, suppressing the stirring within his blood, and casually handed over a cup of chilled green apple beverage, “Take it.”
Enna took the cup and took a sip, and when she realized she was drinking green apple juice, she looked up in surprise at him.
Baron was already a bit restless, and her direct, startled gaze almost brought back the agitation he had just managed to suppress. He furrowed his eyebrows and averted his eyes, “What’s the matter? Don’t like it? If you don’t like it, choose whatever you want.”
The shock in Enna’s eyes disappeared, replaced by a faint sense of loss, “No, I like the apple flavor.”
It was because she liked the apple flavor that Baron Lawrence had accurately chosen an apple-flavored ice drink among the many options, which made her overthink.
She had thought…
Enna took a few deep breaths, adjusting her mood.
But her good mood had still taken a significant hit.
She looked down, sipping the drink from her cup in small, slow gulps, and remained silent.
Baron, watching her, could tell she wasn’t behaving like someone who liked apple-flavored drinks at all; it was as if she were drinking poison!
The more absentminded she appeared, the more he felt as if something was stuck in his chest, and he couldn’t quite pinpoint the discomfort.
Damn it, he just felt uncomfortable, as if his heart had contracted a terminal illness, causing his own mood to plummet along with this woman!
He disliked this uncontrollable sensation. Suddenly, he reached out, grabbed Enna’s wrist, stood up, and turned his head to give an order, “Scott, prepare the yacht. I want to go to sea!”
