The Female Officer was no better off than her, her complexion equally pallid, with most of the color drained from her lips.

However, Scarlett, at least, was much more composed than the Female Officer. Meeting the servant’s puzzled look, she slightly lifted her chin, “I understand; I will change into another dress and come down. You may go now.”

The servant left.

The Female Officer immediately asked in a panic, “Princess, what do we do now? Young Master Lyle must have told the Prince everything about the abandoned factory.”

Scarlett, of course, knew that Lyle had most likely tattled. She was already in a bad mood, and it got even worse when the Female Officer mentioned it. She glared at the Female Officer and said irritably, “Even if he did tell, so what? We just deny it.”

Scarlett first looked at the dignified Princess Consort, then at Lyle Westbrook, before turning her gaze to Prince Willie. Her eyes suddenly reddened as if she had been greatly wronged, pre-emptively accusing, “Daddy, is this what you want to tell me after I was kidnapped and barely made it back?
