Chapter 62 Edible Ice Sea Flower

Chapter 62: Chapter 62 Edible Ice Sea Flower

As the mask was removed, Xiao Jinsheng gazed upon the exquisite foreign features beneath it, meeting a pair of deep and alluring eyes.

Perhaps because he always wore a mask and lingered within the shadows of the night, Li’s complexion was starkly pale, while his smiling lips were as red as dripping blood.

A thought crossed his mind, and beneath his black hair, a pair of sharp demon horns manifested.

"I remember your horns used to be round when you were little," Xiao Jinsheng recalled.

Back then, Li had a pair of small round horns that blended into his hair so well they were barely noticeable.

Curious, she reached out, wanting to touch the demon horns and experience their texture. A slender and powerful demon tail wound around her waist and lifted her from the water’s surface.

Li leaned back against the stone wall of the hot spring, his brow arched. "I can’t let you touch them just yet."

"Then let me go!" Xiao Jinsheng jabbed the small tip of the demon tail with a huff.

Li swiftly pulled her back into the water with his tail, cupped her face in his hands, and gently rubbed. "You’re not hard to tease at all."

With that, he fetched an Ice Sea Flower floating on the surface of the water and presented it to Xiao Jinsheng. "I won’t tease you anymore; take this as an apology. How about that?"

"No way." Xiao Jinsheng snatched the Ice Sea Flower and replied with a laugh, shaking her head. "This flower was mine to begin with."

"If you want to apologize, you’d better come up with a new gift."

"So domineering." Li chuckled softly as he grasped her wrist and lowered his head to bite into the petal of the Ice Sea Flower still in her hand.

The water-dappled ice-blue petals pressed against his lips.

Li held the back of Xiao Jinsheng’s head as he seized the petal and leaned close, pressing a kiss to her.

As the kiss ended, Xiao Jinsheng could still taste the delicate sweetness on her lips.

"Does this apology meet your satisfaction?"

The moment the petal entered her mouth, it dissolved instantly into water during the kiss. That faint sweetness left her mind particularly clear.

"What exactly is this flower?" Xiao Jinsheng asked curiously.

"It’s a treasure," Li replied with a mysterious smile.

"Are you going to tell me or not?" Xiao Jinsheng twirled the flower’s stem and swept the bloom from Li’s throat down to the corner of his lips.

"I’ll tell you later," Li replied, holding the petal between his lips, his crimson eyes sparkling as he leaned closer to her.

The starry sky shimmered above the hot spring in the domain, with meteors occasionally streaking past.

By noon the next day,

Xiao Jinsheng opened her eyes groggily, only to be startled awake at the sight of the breathtaking sleeping face before her. Her sleepy haze immediately cleared.

Looking around at the familiar surroundings, it was obvious she was in her own room.

Clearly, at some unknown time, Li had carried her, while she slept, out of his domain.

Thinking about last night, even though Xiao Jinsheng had been through similar incidents twice before, her face still grew warm.

She hadn’t expected Li to act so brazenly in the privacy of his domain, with no outsiders around, using the grass and hot spring to his full indulgence.

The Ice Sea Flowers he had brought—he had plundered every single petal.

Recalling it all made Xiao Jinsheng’s legs weaken.

"What are you thinking about?" Li murmured, still half-asleep, as he tightened his muscular arm around Xiao Jinsheng.

"Thinking that we should get up now," Xiao Jinsheng replied, nudging him.

"Not getting up," Li muttered, pulling the blanket over his head. He slid down, resting his face against Xiao Jinsheng’s front. "Such good sunlight—it’s ideal for sleeping."

"For someone your size, you’re even better at lounging than me." Xiao Jinsheng teased, lifting a strand of his long, jet-black hair.

The demon horns and tail from last night had already disappeared from him.

"I’m hungry," Xiao Jinsheng said, tugging at his head buried in her embrace.

Upon hearing this, Li sprang awake with excitement, his sleepiness vanishing instantly.

Xiao Jinsheng pushed her knee against him in warning. "You’re cooking today."

"Get up now." Xiao Jinsheng pulled on her robe, got out of bed, and reminded him as she turned back.

"Alright, my dear. What would you like to eat? I’ll get up and cook for you right away," Li offered with a grin.

He took out a dazzling red diamond-adorned slip dress from the domain and approached Xiao Jinsheng expectantly. "How about wearing this today?"

"Where did you get this?" Xiao Jinsheng’s eyes lit up as she accepted the dress.

Whatever Li produced was always extravagant and elegant.

Back when she wore the wedding dress yesterday, Xiao Jinsheng had already wanted to ask him.

"Three thousand demons in the Demon Territory—can’t have them sitting idle," Li explained. "I’ve already set them to work. From now on, tell me what you’d like to wear."

"You keep hiring child... er, centenarian workers," Xiao Jinsheng joked.

"I’ll hire them as I please. Don’t like it? Then kiss me," Li countered playfully.

"You’re so shameless, always wanting something in return!" Xiao Jinsheng scoffed with faux arrogance, taking the red dress into the changing room.

When she emerged, Li was already dressed in an elaborate dark red robe, seated on the sofa waiting for her.

Li’s gaze filled with admiration as it landed on the snowy-skinned woman radiating beauty in her red gown. Smiling, he stepped closer, draped a shimmering silk scarf over her shoulders, and said, "Now it’s perfect."

He then handed his black-and-red Demon Mask to Xiao Jinsheng, bent down to lower his face near hers, his lips curling into a pleased grin. "The mask—help me put it on."

"Why do you need to wear a mask again?" Xiao Jinsheng asked in confusion.

Previously, Li wore the mask because she had assumed his childhood injury hadn’t healed.

But now that the mask was removed, her earlier assumptions clearly didn’t hold.

"It’s only for you to see," Li replied with a smile.

He moved his head closer still. "You do the honors and put it on."

"Got it," Xiao Jinsheng said gently, putting the mask on him with care.

"It’s already noon. I’ll go call her to eat," Su Ye said flatly.

Huaiqing, as usual, had already prepared lunch. Although Xiao Jinsheng enjoyed sleeping in, she always woke up on time to have her breakfast at noon.

She was almost annoyingly punctual, descending the stairs just as the food was served.

But that day, five men waited for ages, their food having long lost its warmth, without catching sight of Xiao Jinsheng.

Su Ye had just reached the staircase when he saw Xiao Jinsheng descending, radiant in her flaming red dress.

Trailing behind her was the tall figure of Li, clad in his Demon Mask.

Li lowered his crimson gaze, meeting Su Ye’s slightly darkened golden eyes. With a smile, Li reached his hand toward Xiao Jinsheng in front of him. "Guide me—I don’t know where I’m going."

"It’s just a staircase. How could you not know the way?" Xiao Jinsheng replied with a hint of disdain, yet still reached out to take his hand.

Li’s fingers lightly grazed her palm as his eyes provocatively challenged Su Ye.

Su Ye’s expression turned colder, and his internal rage surged.

As expected, Mo Jiao had been right.

This man wasn’t here to join the family; he was here to tear it apart!

The seven of them sat around the dining table in a tense silence.

Noticing the brewing conflict between Li and Mo Jiao’s group, Xiao Jinsheng tried to think of ways to break the ice.

She opened the Star Map and decided to add Li to the group chat.

Li: What kind of group is this?

Before Xiao Jinsheng could explain, someone answered for her.

Mo Jiao: Congratulations—you’ve entered the Beast Husband Divorce Group.

Li: ...???

[The group member "Li" has exited the chat.]

"Why did you leave the group?" Xiao Jinsheng asked him.

"They’re divorcing—not me! If I join a group, it ought to be for marriage." Li shook his head, rejecting the group entirely.

"I added you back. You’re not allowed to leave again!" Xiao Jinsheng insisted.

[Welcome "Li" to the group.]

[Group name has been changed to: Happy Family All Together.]

Mo Jiao: Not divorcing anymore?

Yu Yunxiao: Not divorcing anymore?

Huaiqing: Not divorcing anymore?

Li: @Xiao Jinsheng, they’re hinting that they want to divorce you.

Mo Jiao: Shut up!

Yu Yunxiao: Why are you everywhere? So annoying.

Huaiqing: @Xiao Jinsheng, Seven seven seven seven seven seven seven.

Li: Are you throwing a tantrum? What’s with all the sevens?
