Chapter 133: Chapter 133: Seven Again

But after waiting for so long, until the sun had set, Bai Yan still didn’t make a move.

Instead, she got into the car and followed her Beast Husband back home.

The first day of Bai Yan fishing—complete bust.

Back at the small villa, during dinner review time, Xiao Jinsheng turned to Chen Yunji and suggested, "I think you should go even farther next time, preferably out of the range of both our sight and Bai Yan’s Beast Husbands’ sight."

Xiao Jinsheng suspected that Bai Yan still had psychological shadows from previously failing to control Shi Xie, which had resulted in two deaths.

So unless Bai Yan considered the environment to be absolutely safe, she was unlikely to take action.

"Tomorrow, I’ll disappear for a while," Chen Yunji replied.

Upon hearing this, Xiao Jinsheng gave him a strange look.

"What’s wrong?" Noticing Xiao Jinsheng’s peculiar gaze, Chen Yunji asked, puzzled.

"Nothing, just... You give off a vibe that makes me think you wouldn’t stoop to such cheap tactics," Xiao Jinsheng replied.

Chen Yunji froze for a moment.

He couldn’t help but wonder what kind of image he portrayed in Xiao Jinsheng’s eyes.

But when he was about to ask, he realized Xiao Jinsheng’s attention had already shifted back to her seven Beast Husbands.

It was as if her earlier remark had been made casually, just in passing.

Chen Yunji only overheard Xiao Jinsheng chatting with her Beast Husbands about some card-turning game, but not knowing the full story, he had no idea what kind of cards they were flipping.

After dinner, Chen Yunji silently headed to the kitchen to clean up.

This was something he himself had volunteered to do, coincidentally falling into the schedule rotation for cleaning the kitchen today, so he was added into the arrangement.

On Cloud Island Bamboo Courtyard, he sustained his life with Elemental Power.

But after arriving at Xiao Jinsheng’s house, Chen Yunji also started trying food again.

The kitchen was filled only with the sound of running water and the faint clinking of ceramic dishes.

Meanwhile, in the living room, Xiao Jinsheng was surrounded by her seven Beast Husbands.

"Let’s flip the cards," Su Ye pushed over the wooden plaques engraved with the names of the Beast Husbands, placing them in front of Xiao Jinsheng.

One person faced the fervent gazes of seven Beast Husbands.

Xiao Jinsheng was under immense pressure.

Yesterday, she had chosen to flip Huaiqing’s plaque because Huaiqing hadn’t yet gone to bed, and she happened to have an excuse involving spiritual power upgrades.

So the other six Beast Husbands, though they may have felt slighted, had kept their protests to themselves.

But today was different.

All seven Beast Husbands had left their mark on her.

No matter whom she chose now, the other six would surely get upset and be difficult to please.

Suddenly, inspiration hit Xiao Jinsheng.

She shoved the plaques aside, pulling out a notebook to draw up a new set of random draw slips.

"We’re not playing card-flipping today; we’re playing matching pairs," Xiao Jinsheng announced with a smile.

"I still think your scoring game is far more entertaining," Mo Jiao chuckled lightly.

Picking up on his teasing, Xiao Jinsheng shot him a glare. "Killer brother, you’re silenced for ten minutes!"

So annoying.

He always brought up her past antics about scoring the Beast Husbands.

For numbers one through seven, Xiao Jinsheng wrote down each number twice and split them into two piles.

She pushed one pile labeled with numbers 1-7 toward the seven Beast Husbands. "You guys draw from these; the order doesn’t matter."

"But what matters is the number I draw," Xiao Jinsheng mixed up the slips in front of her, laughing as she explained, "Whoever has the same number as me, I’ll flip their card today. That’s the matching pairs game."

"Seven choices, only one correct match in the matching pairs game?" Huaiqing chuckled.

"Yep! Do you guys want to play or not?" Xiao Jinsheng asked with a hint of challenge.

"When have I ever skipped one of your little games?" Mo Jiao said as he reached out to pick a slip.

Li reached out confidently, declaring, "When it comes to chemistry, she and I are unbeatable."

"You mean luck," Shi Xie retorted.

"Probability—you two always have to bring mysticism into it," Yu Yunxiao sneered.

Que Zelian didn’t comment, only letting out a soft laugh as he picked up his slip.

Finally, it was Su Ye’s turn to reach out.

He unfolded his slip, stared at the number, and muttered to himself, "This doesn’t really depend on luck, does it?"

"You’ve all picked yours; now it’s my turn," Xiao Jinsheng closed her eyes and reached out to touch one of the rolled-up slips at random.

"What’s your number?" Su Ye asked eagerly.

When Xiao Jinsheng unfolded her slip, the number seven was written on it. She promptly asked, "Who got seven among you?"

"Ah, the same number again," Shi Xie said with a light laugh.

With the slip showing a seven between his fingers, he smiled contentedly. "Female Master, guess I’m number seven again!"

"You melodramatic fool, can’t you speak like a normal person?" Li hissed disdainfully.

"You’re just bitter because you don’t know how to be melodramatic," Shi Xie sneered.

"So today’s card flip goes to Shi Xie," Xiao Jinsheng declared, tossing her slip onto the table before darting off upstairs.

She had tried her best to maintain neutrality.

If any of the Beast Husbands still felt slighted, well, that was no longer her problem.

This time, however, Xiao Jinsheng didn’t take Shi Xie into the Space but instead went to his room.

The night was still young, and after taking a bath, Xiao Jinsheng didn’t rush to bed. Instead, she wandered around Shi Xie’s room.

Looking here and there, she soon noticed a water-blue flower placed near the window, potted in ice coral.

"Wow, isn’t this the Ice Sea Flower?" Xiao Jinsheng exclaimed in surprise.

She was all too familiar with Ice Sea Flowers.

"It is. I just planted it," Shi Xie replied with a chuckle, walking over to wrap her in his arms. "It’s about to bloom soon; let’s watch it together."

"Alright," Xiao Jinsheng agreed.

But in her heart, she was already thinking this flower absolutely couldn’t be seen by Li.

Otherwise, her two Ten-Star Beast Husbands would surely come to blows.

"Wait a second! Didn’t you tell me Ice Sea Flowers take twenty years to bloom?" Xiao Jinsheng suddenly realized something didn’t add up.

The smile froze on Shi Xie’s face.

Xiao Jinsheng instantly caught the oddity, narrowing her eyes to quiz further, "Shi Xie, you lied."

"Female Master~" Shi Xie’s eyes reddened at the edges as he embraced Xiao Jinsheng, rubbing his chin lightly against her shoulder as he spoke pitifully, "To someone waiting, even a year feels like three years. I’ve been raising this Ice Sea Flower for seven years; saying twenty years before was already an understatement."

"It’s true natural growth takes seven years for it to bloom," Shi Xie lowered his gaze, his eyes full of longing as he looked at Xiao Jinsheng.

"This time, it’s about to bloom after only seven days because I raised it with Superpower abilities." Shi Xie gently guided Xiao Jinsheng’s hand, their fingertips settling on the Ice Sea Flower.

Shi Xie whispered, "Female Master, you can now replicate my Superpower abilities."

Following his cues, Xiao Jinsheng replicated the Ice and Water Dual Element Superpower and immediately felt the life force emanating from the Ice Sea Flower.

"There’s another way to make Ice Sea Flowers bloom besides waiting seven years," Shi Xie chuckled softly, his voice seductive. "Would Female Master like to try?"

"Is your method legitimate?" Xiao Jinsheng was suspicious, knowing that Shi Xie was as much of a technical trickster as Li.

"Try it, Female Master, and you’ll see," Shi Xie replied, lifting her hand so their fingers intertwined and channeling their combined Ice Element abilities into the Ice Sea Flower.

Xiao Jinsheng’s eyes were fixed on the flower but then found herself pressed against the windowsill by Shi Xie’s embrace.

He leaned down, placing soft kisses on her cheeks. "With this amount of power, it’s still not enough to make it bloom."

"We need to get a bit closer," he whispered before sealing her lips with a kiss.

Bathed in the hazy moonlight, the Ice Sea Flower on the windowsill began glowing with a dreamy blue luminescence.

As the night deepened, its water-blue petals slowly unfurled.

"See? Using Superpower energy to nurture it, a flower that normally blooms in seven years can bloom in seven days," Shi Xie said triumphantly, summoning frost to pluck the freshly bloomed Ice Sea Flower and delivering it to Xiao Jinsheng’s hands.

"Why not keep raising it?" Xiao Jinsheng probed, curious as she held the flower. "Wouldn’t it last longer in the pot?"

"As long as you’re with me, we can have an endless supply of Ice Sea Flowers in the future," Shi Xie replied with a cryptic smile.

With that, he pulled out a shell-shaped container, opening its lid to reveal it was filled with seeds, round and pearl-like.
