Though he had fortuitously not perished, his organs had long been crushed by the overwhelming water pressure.

Just then, out of the whirlpool in the center of the waters, soars a curse-filled aura. A black monkey, towering hundreds of feet tall, burst forth from the eye of the water.

Its eight arms, like pillars, flailed about, stirring up boundless waves once more. The monkey’s face was covered in stiff, needle-like hair, and its eyes shone like blood-red lanterns, emitting a bloody light!

The eight-armed water demon monkey bellowed to the heavens, ceaselessly pounding its chest. The sound was like muffled thunder, echoing throughout the entire sky vault.

"Black Monkey Ancestor!"

The emergence of the eight-armed water demon monkey immediately filled the surviving tribe people of the Black Monkey Clan with hope.

As he spoke, a huge dark green conch shell appeared in his hand. He blew into it, and instead of the soundwaves spreading in all directions, they entered the raging Great River.

Exotic water beasts such as water pythons and various strangely-shaped aquatic creatures that had been roaming the tributaries flocked toward the vast water area as if commanded.

Ripples surged on the water’s surface, and just the fin jutting out was tens of feet long – a bloodthirsty demon shark. Such a creature should have been in the vast oceans, but it was brought to the Great River by the Azure King.

"My dear older brother, this is your strategizing – I am truly in awe!" came another voice just as Nufeng and Ruo Wantao were seething with uncontainable anger. It carried a hint of mockery.

Nufeng didn’t need to look to know these brazen words could only be his two younger brothers.

"Third brother, today our elder brother was merely deceived by slander. A man who, when faced with humanity, would abandon his own tribe people without a second thought is nothing but a coward, and yet, he received elder brother’s trust."
