Legend of Wyatt -
Chapter 1157: Preparation
Chapter 1157: Chapter 1157: Preparation
Upon hearing Wyatt Barnes’s command, a group of Shadow Peak elders and disciples hurriedly left, not daring to hesitate.
"Sect Leader."
Pearl Rowan looked at Wyatt Barnes.
"Uncle Master, take me to Ella Yorke’s training ground... I want her to return to her roots."
Wyatt Barnes said to Pearl Rowan.
Ella Yorke had died for his two fiancées.
He naturally would not mistreat Ella Yorke, even though she had already passed away.
Hearing this, Pearl Rowan shuddered, her gaze involuntarily falling behind Wyatt on Fill Bear’s embrace.
The bloodstained white figure was the first thing that caught her eye.
"Scarlett... what a pity."
After a moment, Pearl Rowan sighed deeply, her face full of regret.
Ella Yorke, the strongest among the young generation of Shadow Peak and also an ’Odd Species.’
If she had not died, becoming the Peak Master of Shadow Peak wouldn’t have been impossible.
"If Scarlett is watching from above, knowing how generously the Sect Leader is treating her, she would definitely be very happy."
Pearl Rowan bowed to Wyatt Barnes and said earnestly, "Sect Leader, I thank you on behalf of Scarlett."
"Uncle Master, what are you doing? Sister Ella Yorke was a great benefactor to my two fiancées, and thus to me as well... What I’m doing is only right."
Wyatt Barnes quickly helped Pearl Rowan up.
Led by Pearl Rowan, Wyatt Barnes and three others soon arrived at a spot halfway up near the summit of Wyatt Peak.
At the mountainside, a small, flat platform had been cleared.
On the platform stood a small wooden cabin covered in pristine white snow.
"This is Scarlett’s training ground."
Pearl Rowan said.
Wyatt Barnes nodded, then floated down and pushed open the door of the cabin.
As soon as the door was pushed open, several clumps of snow fell, hitting Wyatt Barnes on the head, but he seemed not to notice and walked into the cabin on his own.
Inside the cabin was very tidy, with nothing but a bed, hardly resembling a woman’s room.
"Since Scarlett joined under our sister’s tutelage, she focused on cultivation, and her living was very simple... Before Keer and Jovie came, she rarely spoke with anyone, until Keer and Jovie became her juniors and she started talking more."
Pearl Rowan followed Wyatt Barnes into the cabin and continued.
"Yes."
Wyatt Barnes nodded, then raised his hand and a crystal-clear ice coffin appeared in front of him, guided by an invisible force to rest on the bed inside the cabin.
"This is?"
Pearl Rowan was taken aback.
Before she could react, Wyatt Barnes had already called Fill Bear inside, instructing him to place Ella Yorke into the ice coffin.
"This is an ice coffin made from ’millennial ice,’ which can preserve Sister Ella Yorke’s body eternally."
Fill Bear had just approached the ice coffin when Wyatt Barnes said to Pearl Rowan.
Originally, this coffin had been cast specifically for Winnie Romero, but now it was fitting to use for Ella Yorke.
"When I find those two girls, they will surely want to see Sister Ella Yorke again," Wyatt Barnes thought to himself.
"Wait."
Just as Fill Bear was about to place Ella Yorke into the coffin, Pearl Rowan stopped him.
"Hmm?"
Fill Bear looked at Pearl Rowan, puzzled.
"Uncle Master, is there something else?"
Wyatt Barnes also looked at Pearl Rowan.
"Sect Leader, I hope to let Scarlett lie there clean and tidy... Give me a quarter of an hour, I will wash her and change her clothes."
Pearl Rowan expressed her thoughts.
"Okay."
Wyatt Barnes nodded, had Fill Bear hand Ella Yorke over to Pearl Rowan, then left with Fill Bear, gently closing the door behind them.
"It’s snowing."
As soon as he stepped out, Wyatt Barnes noticed that snow had started to fall around Wyatt Peak, bit by bit, looking very beautiful.
Stretching out his hand to let the snow fall on it, Wyatt Barnes murmured, "Sister Ella Yorke, thank you for what you did for those two girls... I, Wyatt Barnes, am grateful to you for my whole life."
The quarter-hour passed quickly.
During this time, the only sign of activity Wyatt Barnes noticed was when a window on one side of the cabin suddenly opened, and water sprayed out, stained with a streak of crimson.
Wyatt Barnes knew this was Pearl Rowan using the ’Water’s Essence’ to clean the blood from Ella Yorke’s body.
"You can come in now."
Following Pearl Rowan’s voice, Wyatt Barnes walked inside.
This time, Fill Bear did not follow him in, instead staying outside the cabin with Winnie Romero and Kamari Gold, waiting for Wyatt Barnes to come out.
Inside the cabin, Wyatt Barnes saw Ella Yorke, washed and dressed in clean white clothes, already lying in the ice coffin. Through the ice coffin, he could see her graceful figure and her exceptionally beautiful face.
Wyatt Barnes took a deep breath, bowed three times to Ella Yorke’s body, then left with Pearl Rowan.
"From now on, this place will become a sacred site of Wyatt Peak! No one is allowed to approach without permission."
Wyatt Barnes said to Pearl Rowan.
Pearl Rowan nodded.
Then, Wyatt Barnes, as if not reassured, took out a pile of materials and top-grade original stones and began to busy himself, inscribing "Inscription" on the spot and setting up the "Inscription Array."
Pearl Rowan watched Wyatt’s movements with dazzling confusion.
An hour later, Wyatt’s movements slowed down, but the materials and original stones in his possession had already been taken from his hands and integrated into the snow around the small cabin.
In a moment, a semi-transparent shield rose, completely enveloping the small cabin.
A few breaths later, the semi-transparent shield disappeared from Pearl Rowan’s sight.
Of course, Pearl Rowan knew the semi-transparent shield hadn’t truly vanished and would be triggered if one approached it.
Because that was the defensive shield formed by the "Defensive Array."
"Sect Leader, I didn’t expect not only your strength but also your mastery in the ’Art of Inscription’ to be so profound and inscrutable," Pearl Rowan admired.
Although she wasn’t an "Inscription Master," there was a saying, "Though I haven’t eaten pork, I have seen pigs run."
She had once witnessed some Inscription Masters within the Sect inscribing and setting up the "Inscription Array." However, the speed and efficiency of those Inscription Masters were nothing compared to the young man in purple before her.
"Perhaps, Sect Leader can truly set up a large-scale Inscription Array capable of defending against the cold winds blowing towards the north side of Wyatt Peak," Pearl Rowan thought to herself.
Now, she only felt that the Sect Leader before her was more mysterious and unfathomable, and she couldn’t see through him at all.
"Sect Leader, what level of attack can this defense array withstand at most?" Pearl Rowan couldn’t help but ask.
"To destroy it, a force stronger than the power of three ancient grey dragons would be required," Wyatt Barnes replied.
The power of three ancient grey dragons?!
Upon hearing Wyatt’s words, Pearl Rowan’s pupils contracted slightly.
Generally speaking, only martial artists above the Seventh-Order in the Martial Emperor Realm could exhibit a force stronger than that of three ancient grey dragons.
In other words,
Martial artists below the Seventh-Order of the Martial Emperor Realm were unlikely to break through the defensive array enveloping the small cabin before them.
She could never have imagined that the "Defensive Array" set up by this person in just an hour could have such terrifying defensive power, far beyond her expectations.
"Uncle Master, I may need some materials for inscribing and setting up ’Inscription Array’ in the next two days," Wyatt Barnes said to Pearl Rowan.
In the next two days, he would begin setting up a large-scale Inscription Array that would cover the north side of Wyatt Peak, and some of the materials needed for that array were not in his possession.
"Sect Leader, just say what you need, and I will go to the Shadow...Wyatt Peak’s reserve warehouse and gather the items for you." Pearl Rowan said, initially wanting to say ’Shadow Peak’ but before she finished, she remembered that Shadow Peak had been renamed ’Wyatt Peak,’ the same name as the Sect Leader before her.
"Thank you, Uncle Master," Wyatt Barnes smiled with thanks, causing Pearl Rowan to hurriedly return the gesture.
She understood in her heart.
When Wyatt Barnes called her ’Uncle Master,’ it was simply because of the respect for his two fiancées; otherwise, she was nothing before Wyatt Barnes.
Then Wyatt Barnes and his group, under Pearl Rowan’s arrangements, settled down on Wyatt Peak.
Each took a cabin halfway up the mountain, close to one another.
Winnie Romero, Fill Bear, and Kamari Gold quickly returned to their rooms, and deeply immersed themselves in cultivation.
Unlike them, Wyatt Barnes temporarily had no time to cultivate, as he was busy inscribing the materials and top-grade original stones he had on hand with needed "Inscriptions."
All he was doing was preparing for the large-scale "Inscription Array" he planned to set up over the next two days.
That array, truth be told, was also a ’Defensive Array,’ but it could only defend against the cold wind.
Originally, such a defensive array was very simple and could easily be set up.
But the problem was.
The defensive array being inscribed by Wyatt Barnes was meant to cover the entire north side of Wyatt Peak, an area so vast, one couldn’t see its extent at glance.
Such a large-scale inscription array, had he not fused with the memories of the Reincarnated Martial Emperor, would have been impossible to set up.
Because this large-scale inscription array was initially experimented by the Reincarnated Martial Emperor himself, other inscribers, even if able to inscribe the same array, could not set up one so vast.
In short, if put plainly,
Only the Reincarnated Martial Emperor could inscribe and set up something so vast!
After Wyatt Barnes had almost finished inscribing the materials and top-grade original stones he had on hand, Pearl Rowan also managed to gather all the materials he asked her to find, not missing a single one.
The next two days, Wyatt Barnes was once again busy.
Two days quickly passed.
Two days later, Wyatt Barnes went alone to the north side of Wyatt Peak, only to find many male disciples busily working, and many elders helping as well.
While they were busy, their robes were whipped by the fierce cold wind making them flutter loud.
Even some of their hairbands had cracked, their hair untied and flowing with the wind.
"It’s the Sect Leader!"
"Sect Leader!"
...
Wyatt Barnes’ appearance, unsurprisingly attracted quite a bit of attention.
But what they were most concerned about was not Wyatt Barnes himself.
"Tomorrow will be the ’three days later’ that Sect Leader mentioned."
