Chapter 171: Chapter 161 Love and Effort Coexist
When they left the Kendo Department, Uesugi Shio didn’t stop them, just lazily waved a hand in farewell.
The time was four thirty in the afternoon.
The train home was already packed with people, mostly young students.
Uesugi Sakura sat on the reflective train seat, flipping through a book, preparing for the upcoming monthly exams.
The unique scent of a girl suddenly filled his nostrils.
"What’s wrong?"
Little Hanabi moved closer to him, and because they were on the train, Uesugi Sakura lowered his voice.
Hanamaru Hanabi tugged at his coat with her small hand, her weak voice barely louder than the clattering sound of the train: "Did... did you come looking for Hanabi today too, Sakura-kun..."
Uesugi Sakura closed the book, a smile appearing on his handsome face that he showed only to her.
"Little Hanabi has been very clingy lately, always messaging me to ask where I am, even though I’m just at the library reading."
Hanamaru Hanabi lowered her head, her small hand instinctively letting go of his coat: "Is it annoying...? Hanabi... just wants to be with Sakura-kun..."
Uesugi Sakura didn’t answer her question directly.
"Do you like me?"
"I do."
"Then does little Hanabi think Sakura-kun likes her?"
Hanamaru Hanabi lacked confidence, even though he had told her many times, "Probably..."
Uesugi Sakura secretly held her cold, delicate little hand in the space between them.
He whispered to her, "Affection is mutual. Little Hanabi likes me, so I will like her too, so please be confident."
Her small hand unconsciously entwined with his fingers.
The close embrace of a lover’s hand brought her warmth.
"Okay."
Uesugi Sakura noticed a little girl in a yellow hat watching them curiously from across, her small head seemingly unable to understand the meaning of what they were doing.
The train traveled on the familiar road home, no longer holding any wonder.
At the Uesugi Family’s entrance, Hanamaru Hanabi had just removed her small shoes with her toes, her shoulder bag still in her hand, when she was suddenly forced step by step into the corner of a wall.
Against the cool wall, her black pleated skirt stopped its soft swaying, but her violet eyes flickered intensely as his face drew nearer.
"Sakura-kun..." she called softly.
Uesugi Sakura propped a hand against the wall, tracing the line of her neck with his nose, his slow breaths brushing past her delicate skin.
Then he moved upward, lightly nibbling on her reddened ear.
Hanamaru Hanabi tilted her head slightly, eyes closed tightly, lips pursed softly, her small hand gripping the strap of her bag tightly.
"Sakura... Sakura-kun..."
"We... haven’t kissed for several days, have we?" Uesugi Sakura said softly into her ear.
"Mhm..." Hanamaru Hanabi responded softly.
His nose glided over her tender red cheek, her soft lips, now sealed.
Uesugi Sakura caressed her gentle waistline beneath her sailor outfit, the supple and tender feel beneath his fingers stirring something within him, but then he suddenly paused.
"Should we... not be this intimate?"
Hanamaru Hanabi’s violet eyes blinked rapidly. She habitually lowered her head, her cheeks already flushed red, "Hanabi... doesn’t know either..."
"Let’s go to my room first."
"Okay..." Hanamaru Hanabi did not refuse.
Uesugi Sakura’s room was filled with a wall of books, and on the desk were drawings that little Hanabi had given him and photos from when they were young together.
Back then, she sat in front of him, smiling brightly.
Her black knee-high socks were pulled off from her pink and white toes, and he gently held that small foot, sliding his index finger across the ball of her foot out of comfort.
"No, stop!"
Hanamaru Hanabi quickly withdrew her slender leg in embarrassment, hugging her knees on the edge of the bed.
"Sakura... Sakura-kun, don’t do such strange things..."
"It’s nothing strange."
Once again holding her lovely little foot, Uesugi Sakura kissed the girl’s lips, gently laying her down.

Cheek to cheek, the burning blush spread from her flushed face to her waist, passing through her slender legs down to her heels.
Uesugi Sakura could feel the little foot in his hand shyly curling inward.
His other hand continually glided over her soft tummy, and Hanamaru Hanabi dared not open her eyes to look at him, only allowing his lingering kisses to meet her own.
The girl’s warm and sweet delicate body was entrancing.
In mere moments, Hanamaru Hanabi grew hot with a rosy sheen of sweat, her emotions become tangled and uncontrollable under his affectionate acts.
Her chest heaved with deep breaths as his hand caressed her waist.
She called his name softly with her lips.
"Don’t speak."
Uesugi Sakura couldn’t resist and bit down on her sweet, charming lips again.
Her taste, a girl’s unique scent, mingled and seeped into his mouth, sweetly reaching the depths of his heart.
The more he caressed, the more the girl’s body burned. Even with her eyes closed, Hanamaru Hanabi couldn’t resist the mellow intoxication.
Unconsciously responding to his deep kiss, in each gentle bite, tender feelings flowed through those exquisite flavors straight to her mind.
Her mind was a whirlwind, immersed in glaring white oblivion.
Little Hanabi’s mind was long filled with overwhelming love, and thinking further would short-circuit her little head, making things worse.
By her ear was his breath, cherry lips met his warmth, the gentle itch at her waist tugged at her heart.
A request from someone you like is something that’s impossible to refuse.
——————
The last Wednesday in June.
Stretching his body, Uesugi Sakura ran on the school’s track.
The cool morning breeze brushed past his neck, the firm texture of the track transmitted from his toes, and breathing resonated with the heartbeat echoing in his blood.
Step by step, step by step.
His legs continually bore the impact of his body, becoming light and graceful.
He quickly caught up with the girl running hard in front of him.
Hanamaru Hanabi panted softly, her cute face full of encouraged redness.
She was never good at sports, and managing to run three laps around the track was already a strain on her effort.
Her arms and legs ached from the strain, and the oxygen from her breaths wasn’t enough to sustain her body’s demands.
The red track blurred more with each passing moment, her little head was a dizzy spin.
Her delicate body had long told her she had reached her limit.
"Keep going, little Hanabi!"
Hanamaru Hanabi heard the shout from behind, it surged into her body along with the thumping impacts from the ground, filled with strength.
Even though her heart already ached in her chest, she still wanted to finish, to finish this last lap.
Sweat dripped profusely, covering her forehead, strands of hair sticking to her captivating face.
Her hands, her legs, her pale girl’s skin flushed with a laborious cherry red.
She pursed her lips, focusing on the encouraging voice behind her.
And at the same time, she gritted her teeth to encourage herself:
Keep going! Keep going! Just one more lap!
Run, run, run.
But the wind passing by had faded, her dizzy mind seemed unable to control her legs that could only run.
"Hanabi..."
With an overworked heart, her vision went black, her body softening, in her drowsy and blurred vision, she fell to the ground.
At seven in the morning, the veiling white fog that shrouded the city had just dispersed, morning rays had just peeked out, piercing through the light clouds.
