A small radio station was also relocated to the Guard Base. However, the Guard Base was still located within the city, and it was not easy or safe for the people in the suburbs to get to the base.

East Base maintained a silent stance about the establishment of Guard Base, seeming to not object to people with other thoughts leaving East Base. This act triggered a chain reaction, with several armed groups leaving East Base in succession. They did not head to Guard Base but instead created their own homes with families and friends.

Moreover, a large number of refugees in Day After Tomorrow City had already evacuated to a temporary shelter on a deserted island nearby through sea routes, temporarily escaping the survival crisis. However, due to the lack of legal restrictions, a natural selection of the weak was prevalent, and even slavery emerged.

Big news came from South City, which had the highest number of survivors, exceeding the total number of survivors in the other four city districts. On Day 80, the Survivor Alliance of South City was established, with more than a hundred people joining on the same day. Their slogan was to reclaim the community; they organized training and fought zombies in alleyways, reclaiming streets from zombie control one by one, and the reclaimed community streets became their controlled territories.

In less than a week, the Survivor Alliance’s numbers grew beyond 300, and more and more survivors from South City joined.

However, the radio broadcasted two different pieces of information.

One piece of information described the leader of the Survivor Alliance as having an extraordinarily affable charm and being a tough man admired by everyone. Under his rule, the Survivor Alliance prospered and became the only savior of Day After Tomorrow City. Everyone in the Survivor Alliance had enough food, clean water, and high-quality entertainment facilities.

The other piece of information described the leader as a devil. The survivors from the streets he coveted had only three options: join them, leave the area, or die. He used newcomers to fight zombies for street control while exploiting the old and survivors for the same. Based on contributions and track record, survivors in the district were divided into classes, where the lower class could only obtain subsistence-level low-quality food and had to do the most work, always being on the frontline in combating zombies, with almost no access to medical resources.

Nevertheless, the leader now controlled one fifth of the southern district, where zombies were almost extinct. Of course, this was also because there were originally fewer zombies in the southern district. Inside his controlled territory, he established farms, ranches, and a prison and was currently planning to introduce community laws.

It is said that the leader’s Survivor Alliance had established a shipping trade route with East Base. He provided East Base with cement, steel, and coal in exchange for their weapons. All this benefitted from the leader possessing an industrial area in South City near West City. He originally planned to expand westward but abandoned the idea due to the high density of zombies there.

Additionally, the personnel at Veteran Base had increased to around 20, all retired military officers and soldiers. They were relatively close to South City, about 10 kilometers from the leader’s controlled area, and were cautious of the leader’s Survivor Alliance.

The Library Base officially started broadcasting, and their base was named Starlight Base, with the slogan of building a livable shelter. Those in the know said that Starlight Base was formerly a bandit group that had plundered over a dozen police stations in two northeastern city districts at the early stage of the zombie virus outbreak, possessing a large number of light weapons and having over 60 people.

Railroad Bridge Base was like a paradise, aside from Shana and Maya, people lacked interest in information from the outside world. Due to close dealings with Veteran Base, they had some understanding of the Survivor Alliance.
