In the narrative drawn by Fortress Company, the lives of the people in the non-plague quarantine zone were orderly and well-provisioned, directly calling the Truth Organization a terrorist group. In contrast, the Truth Organization depicted the lives of people in the quarantine zone as very miserable. Fortress Company had complete control over the narrative in the non-plague areas, ruling the people in concert with the officials under high pressure. The common folk could barely get enough food each day, lacked medicine, and lived in poor conditions.

Little Knife, "I think the Truth Organization’s words are credible."

Lin Wu retorted, "I think Fortress’s words are credible. Under the pressure of the apocalypse, it’s understandable to maintain social order through high-pressure management. The Truth says the food handed out each day is not much and there’s a lack of medicine, which means the officials still provide people with food and medicine daily, as well as a place to live. It’s just that Truth thinks the amount of food and medicine distributed is too little."

Shana said, "I’m siding with Little Knife on this one. Imagine what would happen if they didn’t provide food and medicine? Ordinary people wouldn’t survive, and under such circumstances, they would certainly rise in rebellion. Providing a little food and medicine can effectively divide the unstable groups."

Stone asked, "Don’t you guys have work to do? Why are you so free?"

Stone replied, "Fortress and Truth both have their positions, and whatever they say based on those positions will have some bias, but there are also truths in them. As long as you synthesize the information they both agree on, you can glean some correct insights."

Lin Wu puzzled, "Is there information they both agree on?"

Stone said, "Fortress calls it orderly, Truth calls it high-pressure ruling, which indicates that the quarantine zone has maintained good order. Whether it’s abundance of supplies or scarcity of supplies, it means there are some supplies in the quarantine zone that are also sustainable. Both parties agree that Fortress Company works with the officials; whether Fortress controls the officials and the narrative is a point of conflict, it also shows the exaggerations in the announcements from Truth."

Stone continued, "Even if Fortress Company controls the officials, it would try to hide it, making it hard to define the company’s actions through a single incident. Because Truth has a different perspective, they would blame things on Fortress Company and therefore conclude that Fortress controls the officials. The reality is Truth just vaguely speaks of the situation without going into detail about a specific incident, which shows that Truth doesn’t have much information, at least not enough to prove Fortress Company controls the officials."

Stone said, "But Truth’s words resonate more easily. People’s desires are limitless, and many would like to think they are always lacking something. They would be happy to blame others instead of themselves for their lack of supplies. One can also sense Fortress Company is no saint; they are unable to present a single fact to prove the Truth is a terrorist organization. By labeling Truth a terrorist group first, they position themselves on the moral high ground, which indicates that Fortress Company feels insecure about Truth’s statements."

Lin Wu admired, "You know so much."

Stone, "Of course! Don’t all gather here. Lin Wu, take the cellphone to the factory, I need to supervise the work."

Lin Wu, "Looking to play with the new toy?"

Stone said, "Let me have a bit of involvement. Everyone’s tired, I can sing for you all."

"Pfft," Lin Wu left, "Little Knife will bring it over later with the car."

When they first got the cellphone, those on Bai Ban were intrigued, scrambling to greet Stone on the screen. Unfortunately, the novelty lasted only three minutes; ten minutes later, Maya couldn’t bear Stone’s questions and turned the phone off.

The Beast Trap indeed caught on the Blood Zombie’s head but, because his hands were too close, it resulted in a virus infection.

This reminded Lin Wu of his previous battle with Blood Ferocious Ma. Blood Ferocious Ma was able to infect him with the zombie virus from the wind generated by its thrusts, without directly inflicting any damage.

Lin Wu strolled over to the factory and discussed with Maya, "After the Blood Plague explodes, does the Blood Mist carry the virus? And how far does it spread?"

Maya couldn’t answer, "Everything needs to be tested."

Lin Wu said, "Room 405 is where the Blood Plague is located. When I was looting the factory’s offices, I learned that the owner of room 405 was a military enthusiast. He had an assault rifle named Raider, which had been modified and had a magazine capacity of 150 rounds. Even if I blow up the Blood Plague with fire, I don’t think the rifle would fly right into my backpack." Long guns don’t just get bagged.

Maya knew what Lin Wu was thinking, "To search the Blood Plague’s body." Only treasures like those from a loot chest would directly enter a player’s backpack.

Lin Wu nodded, "We only have one minute. Once the Blood Plague is attacked, Blood Plague Zombies will spawn out of nowhere, right nearby. Although Blood Ferocious Ma and Frenzy move and speed up the same, their defense is several times stronger than regular Frenzy, getting close to it can result in virus infection."

Lin Wu’s explanation made Maya feel a headache coming on. If the Blood Plague were harmed, zombies would quickly fill the room, and looting the corpse at that time would be suicidal. Maya had been on duty with Lin Wu; seeing a bunch of zombies jumping down after Lin Wu fell out the window, she knew the number of Blood Zombies the Blood Plague could summon.
