Along the way, the pleasant scenery of autumn winds and falling leaves, combined with babbling brooks and pastoral landscapes, meant the two slowed down their horse’s pace and their own rhythm. It took them five days to reach the ramp to Fantasy City on Route 88. The next stop on Route 88 was Peace City, twelve hundred kilometers away.

Now came the problem: where was Route 99? Lin Ma and her group only knew that Route 99 connected to Fantasy City but had no idea where it was in the city.

Fantasy City, covering nearly five thousand square kilometers, was divided into eight major districts, some near mountains, others by the sea. Some districts focused on heavy industry, others on commerce, and some on technology. Little Fight conducted a search, flying for five kilometers with a visibility of twenty kilometers, seeing nothing but the city everywhere, with no edges of the city in sight. The only clue was a coastal highway in the southeast direction, unclear whether it was Route 99 or not.

An interesting discovery at the ramp was a billboard with large painted letters: "Sky Base welcomes everyone to join." Below it, a radio frequency was written.

Maya was surprised: "Are there people living in the super city?"

Before Hardcore Mode, super cities had plenty of resources and just as many zombies, which might not necessarily spell certain doom. But after entering Hardcore Mode, only the abundant zombies remained, now evolved into Mutant Zombies on top of that.

Throughout the journey, unrestrained by what’s best for the collective rational interest, Maya’s curiosity began to surface more. Lin Wu had no objections; she’d find a good feng shui spot to pitch their tent. Since someone left the radio frequency, it wouldn’t hurt to give it a try. With local help, it was always better than looking for Route 99 on their own.

Not to exaggerate, but with the density of zombies in Fantasy City, after Phantom ran a lap, it would have to change its breed to Skeleton Horse. Bored, Lin Wu complained, "Your data is messed up."

Little White Rabbit: "That is the trend of the world’s development. If humans don’t produce, don’t unite, they will slowly be eliminated."

"There really is someone." Lin Wu noticed people in the neighboring rooms and said, "But I didn’t see the safety zone aura from a base; are they NPCs?"

Maya got the mirror, took the binoculars, and tried to reflect the sunlight with the mirror to signal the office building, but it was challenging. After a while, the girl turned her head as if talking to someone, then shut the window and left the windowsill.

Maya put down the objects in her hands, saying, "In theory, players could also survive here."

Maya added, "There would be supply packages like construction material packs in the office building, and if they only search for the packs without taking them, the materials would always be there."

Conclusively, Maya stated, "These are brave people."

As her words fell, a helicopter flew over their heads and landed on the rooftop of the office building. Through the binoculars, it was clear that six armed individuals descended from the aircraft, bringing many green military crates with them.

Seeing this, Lin Ma understood that the office building was NPC territory and could very well be one of the so-called secret mission locations. Maya looked at Lin Wu, who promptly dropped his smile and gazed seriously into the distance. As Maya turned back, Lin Wu with a worried expression said, "These are brave people."
