Lin Wu took off his belt with the revolver holstered and hung it on the wall. The enforcer nodded in satisfaction, and everyone else withdrew their gaze.

There were two money-making games inside the bar, darts and cards. One could also go to the bar to gather information; of course, these were all system prompts. They received a system self-rescue mission. All four of them managed to flee back to town and hope to borrow our train’s light."

Maya asked, "What do they mean?"

After communicating with the others for a moment, Shuihua answered, "They know where to buy the repair tools and can afford them. They’ve been surrounded by darkness, and only because of our train’s light did they escape calamity. They hope to ride our train to theirs, then borrow our train’s light to repair it."

Maya said, "I’ll handle it. Qinglang, Hong Yi, feel free to do as you please."

Qinglang and Hong Yi immediately responded, "Understood." Maya meant for them to come along as backup. The most frightening thing in the game wasn’t the bosses, but other players.

With Maya handling the event, Lin Wu naturally felt at ease. It seemed that there was indeed a possibility of interaction between players when the right circumstances arose.

A pity that the cowgirl’s task needed 100 dollars to start. Lin Wu stood on the table, waved a one-dollar bill in the air, and shouted, "Is there anything I can play?"

No one paid attention to Lin Wu. Disappointed, he stepped down, moved to the side to drink water, and planned to at least take the glass with him. No one cared about the cause of the fight, or who hit whom. There was one principle: hit whoever is closest. Two enforcers did not join the fight, standing firmly by the wall of guns. The bartender wasn’t in a hurry either; he held a double-barreled shotgun in one hand and wiped the bar with the other, seemingly not planning to stop the brawl anytime soon.

Maya’s voice came through, "It’s Sunlight!"

Lin Wu exclaimed in surprise, "Isn’t this unlucky kid supposed to have left Hardcore Mode?"

Maya replied, "I’m not sure."

Lin Wu asked, "And the other two?"

Maya answered, "Fire Dance and Yellow Hair."

Lin Wu declared, "Take them down." Why keep them if not for the New Year?

Maya added, "And Yellow Hair’s wife, Qianqian."

Lin Wu was stunned for a moment, not quite understanding, so he was punched and sent flying. Fighting with one hand and holding the walkie-talkie in the other, Lin Wu asked, "Is this Fire Dance and Yellow Hair the same ones we know?" After knocking out a cowboy straight with the walkie-talkie, he thought, wow, this thing is good.

Maya confirmed, "Yes!"

Lin Wu said, "You handle it, okay?" Too many questions. Why hadn’t Sunlight left Hardcore Mode? Was he seriously planning to betray himself or perhaps Dark Shadow, by leaving his wife behind? How did Yellow Hair get a new wife so fast? And why did this person named Qianqian have such a nice-sounding name?
