Before the merchant appeared, Shadow had to deal with a tricky issue, and that was whether to purchase the Trade Skill book. With the Trade Skill, shopping could be done at half price.

Reset Book 4, Trade Skill Book 4, Combat Medicine 2. With 70 Serum and an assault rifle, and adding a shotgun and a pistol to the mix, 10 units of currency could still be taken out. The key question was, whose skills to wash in order to learn Trade Skill.

Doctor Emerald Feather, Engineer Su Shi, and Farmer Stone were out of the question. Lin Wu with his dual skills of Hacker and Hunter definitely could not reset. Little Knife, with Lichenology to provide medical supplies for the base, was also indispensable. Snow Egg’s Sound Insulation Technology was unique and wasn’t on the list either.

The skills that were left to reset were Shana’s Clothes Making, Horse Soul’s Chef, Peanut’s Exploration, and Maya’s Leadership that boosted team morale.

Trade Skill was a rather mediocre skill, accurate to say that aside from getting discounts when doing business with NPC merchants, it had no other uses. Players wouldn’t give you a half-price discount just because of your Trade Skill.

Clothes Making was a divine skill in winter, useless in other seasons, but once everyone had a set of winter clothes, the skill would also lose its value, although currently not everyone had a set of winter clothes.

Chef allowed the use of the system kitchen to cook items from the menu, each new recipe learned increased the chef’s maximum health, and who knew if a chef would be dispensable in the summer.

Exploration was a Divine Artifact for scavenging outside, enabling the quick pinpointing of resource locations and halving search times.

Leadership that boosted morale provided a lot of help during daily melee combat with zombies but was almost useless for firearms.
