So, Lin Wu spent another 200 for another meal.

Lin Wu now had 3000 points left and decided to splurge on a 100-point presidential suite for everyone to have a good rest. Naturally, everyone had many questions about Lin Wu’s lavish spending. Arriving at District 3, at a location free of radiation, Lin Wu tried to contact Maya and finally established communication with her upon entering the territory of District 4. Maya was thrilled to learn that Little Knife and the others were still alive, and after understanding the basic situation, she assigned teams within the group.

Horse Soul, with high vitality, headed to District 7 to meet up with Peanut to play sneaky roles and eliminate players in collaboration with Nightmare. Lin Wu, accompanied by Little Knife and Snow Egg, made for the statues, and Maya would arrive at the statues as soon as possible, trying their best to capture and kill NPC and player Hunters. However, Maya told everyone not to have too many expectations because Waste City had two secret supply points in Districts 9 and 12. Despite their distance, NPCs, with their strange way of thinking, would surely send personnel to these supply points.

First, let’s talk about Horse Soul. His first task was to hide a backpack in a certain place outside the library. Nightmare seized the moment to press the button, and, accompanied by an explosion, more than a dozen players met their maker. As reward, Nightmare lured his accomplice into the ambush set by Horse Soul and Peanut. The accomplice was killed and looted. Upon revival, he fell again to Little Knife, who was staking out the spring.

On the other hand, Little Knife and Snow Egg were keeping watch at the spring, while Lin Wu and Maya kept an eye on NPCs. Although the NPCs resisted, they stood no chance against the two experts and were quickly dispatched.

By the seventh day of the instance, since the player Hunters had been almost completely eliminated and NPCs were reduced to wielding small handguns, the survival rate of players had actually increased. 2000 individuals remained. These 2000 people were not only capable fighters but also very cautious, even reluctant to stay long at the secure supply points.

Therefore, Nightmare found the instance boring and by the afternoon of the seventh day, handed her own life over to Peanut. Out of camaraderie formed in battle, Peanut couldn’t bring himself to finish Nightmare off, leaving her half-dead, much to Nightmare’s frustration, who almost turned the tables on Peanut. Horse Soul felt like a third wheel in that moment.

By the evening of the seventh day, Shadow called the team back to the supply point to tally points—between the six of them, they had 5100 points, or 850 each. Initially, everyone was worried that Lin Wu would be dissatisfied with just 850 points, but it turned out that Lin Wu didn’t mind in the least.

Just when everyone thought they could leave the instance after one more night, the broadcast suddenly announced: The excavation sites in Districts 6 and 7 are about to suffer a zombie attack. To protect the excavation sites, a teleportation gate system has been activated.

Each district has ten directional teleportation gates that lead only to the excavation site. In one hour, which is 8 pm, zombies will pour out of tunnels and subway tracks.

Mission: Protect the Chief Engineer.

For this mission, there are also NPC sappers and NPC medics. Players can exchange collected construction materials with sappers, who can build walls to fend off zombies. Additionally, the fleet will provide airdrop services.

The Chief Engineer is in the laboratory 50 meters from the excavation center, where he will be using gene-editing technology to alter the genes of the green liquid inside the green device. Once his work is complete, it is hoped that all zombies in Waste City will be eliminated.

The time is from 8 pm tonight until 7 am tomorrow. During this mission, players will be immune to damage inflicted by other players.

Failure to reach the excavation site and register before 8 pm tonight will be considered a waiver of the mission; even if one survives until the end of the instance, only 10% of the points will be received.

Upon registration, players are bound to the excavation site. If the Chief Engineer dies before 7 am tomorrow, surviving players at this excavation site will receive 20% of the points, while deceased players will receive 10% of the points. If the Chief Engineer survives, surviving players at this excavation site can receive 200% of the points, and deceased players can receive 150% of the points.

Players and pets who die during the mission will not suffer death penalties.

Tip: The zombies in this event include Frenzy, Exploding Carnage, and Titan.
