Chapter 235: Chapter 150: Stick Technique_3
Shana said irritably, "You don’t have to eat."
Lin Wu replied, "No, I can’t let you fall alone, I will accompany you on any difficult path."
Shana held her forehead and was once again at a loss for words.
Lin Wu said, "Let’s go."
...
Back at the cement factory, when faced with Maya’s question, Lin Wu replied, "We can handle it but can’t deal with it."
Shana explained that what Lin Wu said was correct. She could control Frenzy, Frenzy would keep lying down to be hit, but Shana couldn’t kill Frenzy; if she slowed down or her stick slipped, Frenzy would attack.
Maya nodded, "Shana knocks down and stuns, Lin Wu executes."
Lin Wu’s eyes lit up, right, that’s so much better. He wouldn’t even need Wind Stinger, just squat on the ground and wait for the zombies to fall. Shana thought: It feels like I’m at a disadvantage. Oh, there’s no disadvantage, it’s just seeing Lin Wu’s delighted expression that prompted a feeling of being shortchanged.
The sunlight was obscured, and everyone looked up to see a white-gray cloud layer gathering. Maya said, "Let’s retreat." Snow would soon fall again, making it impossible to go to the Bounty Hunter Hall today.
After seeing everyone past the Sentry Card, Lin Wu and Shana returned to the supermarket base where Nightmare was also present, reading a book. Lin Sha whispered to each other for a while, and Shana asked, "Nightmare, are you going to the Bounty Hunter Hall?" They didn’t ask about Nightmare’s death.
Nightmare put down the book and looked at them, "Just us?"
"Yes."
Nightmare stood up, "Okay."
Since the temperature in the sewers was higher, there was no need to worry about frostbite. The sewer exit was near the county sign, and the county sign was very close to the supermarket base, so even in cold weather, the personnel from the supermarket base could still make it to the Bounty Hunter Hall.
However, the players faced a blizzard tonight; although the temperature difference wasn’t significant, it made walking extremely difficult, and skiing wasn’t easy either. Over the 700-meter distance, Lin Wu and Nightmare fell repeatedly, and even the experienced Shana stumbled. What astonished Lin Wu was that the three of them got separated; all he could see was the snowstorm, without a trace of anyone.
Fortunately, Left County was brightly lit. Lin Wu found the county sign and saw Shana there. With the blizzard too intense for communication, even with earphones, the two took shelter against the full brunt of the snowstorm, using the county sign for cover. After waiting seven minutes, Nightmare finally arrived late, his bruised face indicating he had been seriously hurt.
Once they crawled through the sewer, the blizzard was left outside, and the stench of the sewer somehow seemed more welcoming in contrast to the two different worlds.
Shana said, "The Blood Mist created by Blood Plague in the south of North Town has started to surge toward the town center. There’s a Titan nearby, and if the Titan isn’t eliminated soon, it will evolve into an Undying Titan. When that happens, together with the Blood Mist enveloping North Town, the whole place will be doomed."
Lin Wu commented, "Dawn is nuts, letting it be winter is bad enough, enduring the blizzard as well, but isn’t the Complete Blood Plague being released too early?"
Nightmare, following behind them, interjected, "Every system update and upgrade is directly related to game data. It could be because a certain mission was completed, or the number of bases reached a specific scale, or other data."
Shana said, "Does Dawn think that with the current level of players’ armaments, we can resist the Complete Blood Plague?"
Lin Wu said, "That makes sense. Shadow Base has six people with six guns; except for Su Shi and half of Stone, it won’t be very difficult for them to kill a Blood Plague Titan inside the base."
