Maya whispered a few words to Lin Wu, and after releasing a drone Lin Wu replied to Maya. Maya then called everyone together, "The only way is to go across the rooftops."

"Rooftops?"

Maya explained, "The slum buildings are packed together like a beehive. Just now, Lin Wu checked the route; we can definitely reach near the white villa by using the rooftops."

Sunlight asked, "What about the zombies?"

Maya responded, "That’s where we have an advantage. If we stand on the rooftop of Building A, zombies from all around, including those from Building B, will head toward Building A. Meanwhile, we will have moved to Building B."

Sunlight said, "The zombies will relentlessly pursue us."

Maya elaborated, "Earlier, I mentioned we could reach near the white villa using the rooftops with two items: two planks or doors or the like to bridge gaps. Every few buildings, there’s a main road that separates them."

Maya continued, "As we draw the surrounding zombies to rooftops A, B, and C to chase us, we’ll cross over to Building D using planks, then withdraw the planks behind us. The zombies from A, B, and C can then only pursue us from the ground. With well-coordinated teamwork, we can shake them off."

"Two planks. Lin Wu and Fire Dance will cover the bridgeheads, while I and Yellow Hair alternate with the planks. Sunlight, you and Starlight, with your submachine guns, need to stay alert for zombies that might not be decoyed away and could rush to the rooftop from inside the building," Maya laid out their roles.

After Maya finished, they began to practice the coordination.

She led with Plank A, clearing the path with her crossbow. At the gap, she quickly set up the bridge and covered the others as they escaped to the other side. Starlight and Sunlight were responsible for eliminating any zombies that might emerge on the rooftops of the surrounding buildings. Meanwhile, Yellow Hair, carrying Plank B, headed to the next gap. Lin Wu and Fire Dance stayed by Maya’s side. After she removed the plank, Lin Wu and Fire Dance tried to attract the attention of zombies across the gap while they waited for Yellow Hair to lay down the plank. During this, Starfire and Sunlight had to cover Lin Wu and Fire Dance’s retreat.

If the plan went smoothly, they could rapidly reach the vicinity of the white villa through this relay method.

The key was that once they began, they couldn’t stop – everyone had to act quickly.

After practicing, everyone fell back to the main road and entered the buildings to search for props longer than three meters.
