King Of War: Starting with Arms Dealer -
Chapter 851 - 765: Excitement
No one could describe the scene Joe Ga and his crew had created...
Chaos, riots, fervor, and a range of emotions were quickly drowned out by the sky-piercing screams.
Three gangs within the two buildings, another gang on the outskirts, and the surrounding Black communities were also stirring.
New Jersey police had begun to call the National Guard, but as the hellish unrest erupted inside the Howling Residential Building, gangsters ceased their fight, wayward youths stopped their vandalism, and bored brothers, eager for a free-for-all loot, no longer tried to break through the lockdown to take to the streets.
It was indeed dreadful!!
Each floor from the first to the sixth in the residential buildings resembled a slaughterhouse, and the terrified fat pigs encountered inept butchers, not killing them but frightening them to near death.
Those hit by bullets let out the most piercing screams; those hiding at home clutched their heads and shrieked, and occasionally those with shattered nerves would fling open the windows on the third or fourth floor and jump out.
Moreover, the commotion spread towards the higher floors as P·B's men burst into the sixth floor.
The situation upstairs was slightly better, but only slightly...
Because, compared to the mixed wails and screeches from below, the screams above were clearer, and the shrieks from the horrified residents surrounding them were more piercing.
Lesler, urgently arriving with his team, flashed his badge to bypass the police cordon and charged to the front of the residential building. He watched Estelle, her eyes a mix of surprise and excitement, and said incredulously, "Did someone open the gates of hell and let Satan out?"
Estelle looked sympathetically at Lesler, the main report writer, then pointed to several guys who had lost their voices from shouting, and towards the Howling Residential Building, saying, "Better than releasing Satan, all those scumbags have quieted down..."
Lesler thought he had misheard; frantically touching his ear, he exclaimed, "What are you talking about? So many people are dead; we're all screwed. Do you think you can escape?"
Estelle frowned upon hearing this and said, "Who said a lot of people are dead?"
Lesler paused then replied, "Could this noise be made without deaths?"
Estelle looked at Lesler, whose intelligence she doubted, and said, "What screams do the dead make?"
"No one died?"
"Well, some did, but certainly not as many as you think!"
Lesler, looking at Estelle who did not seem to be joking, slightly relieved, looked again at the building 'out of this world,' sighed again, and called out on the radio, "Call the ambulances, bring over all the painkillers you can find.
FUCK, this must be a nightmare!"
Then Lesler rushed to several unlucky guys lying on the road, watching them as they convulsed and cried, their raspy throats emitting continuous pained sounds...
"Oh shit! What kind of chemical weapon is this?"
.........
"This isn't a chemical weapon, it's a fun little thing I picked up at a gun show in Texas."
Joe Ga watched 'Hellhound' curiously eyeing him; he laughed and gestured the medics to come in first to see if they could save 'Gunpowder's' middle finger. Then, he spread his hands and said, "It turns out, screams reaching a certain quantity level are actually quite shocking.
I now get why people love attending live sports games; the atmosphere is indeed amazing!"
'Hellhound' couldn't see any comparison between the atmosphere in the building and a sports stadium; all he felt was P·B being outrageously brazen...
Somehow, he still thought it was rather good, because the people Joe and his boss had killed were fewer than those they had killed while holed up in houses.
A little pain is always better than getting wiped out!
And being so brazen in shooting without worrying about jail, the feeling was indeed great.
Facing the sudden rise of 'evil sensation' within, 'Hellhound' shook his head vigorously, tucked away that malice into his heart, then took the initiative to lead the way, opening doors one by one and said, "Sir, there are about a dozen hostages here; I think we should thoroughly question these children and their parents' identities.
I'm worried the terrorists have already started their operations!"
Joe Ga peeked into the room, saw six youngest children with gas masks on their faces, others covering their noses and mouths with damp cloths, he waved and greeted with a smile, "Don't be afraid, we will take you out..."
Then Joe Ga, looking at the children especially alarmed by the screams, smiled and said, "Don't be afraid, this is now Scream Park; if you don't want to walk inside, I'll call the fire department to lay out air cushions below, we have brave soldiers ready to take you jumping down from the sixth floor.
They used to charge for this, I promise they won't ask for any money this time!"
While Joe Ga was 'coaxing' the kids, 'Gunpowder' came running over, laughing loudly at Joe Ga, "Hu Lang, this is the most thrilling fight I've been in; I love hearing those bastards' screams..."
When 'Gunpowder' came in, a little girl wearing a gas mask ran up and grabbed the hem of his shirt, looking up at him with big blinking eyes...
'Gunpowder' was in a particularly good mood; he grinned, removed the gas mask off the little girl's face, and said, "You can take it off now, 'Daddy Gunpowder' promises to take you to find your mom."
