The moment Ronan stepped forward into full view, no more smoke screen, time seemed to still. They could now see him so clearly, and the pure strength they sensed from him was overwhelming.

Ronan’s eyes scanned the monsters, The shattered terrain crumbled beneath his boots as he walked, dust and blood painted the scene in chaos. His breathing was slow. Controlled.

He stretched out his right hand, and the dagger Which had been previously used to kill the monster that attacked jace instantly flew to his hand with lightening speed, which also shocked the others. It looked like he had magically called back the dagger, which would have been impossible except for someone with telekinetic ability.

The moment the dagger reached his hand, a system notification blinked into his vision—visible only to him.

His grip tightened on the twin daggers as the monster in front of him lunged with full force. They were over 50,but It didn’t matter. Ronan didn’t hesitate.

"What the hell..." Mila breathed, eyes wide. Even she who could teleport couldn’t move with such speed, this was insane.

"He’s... faster than before," Siena whispered, unable to believe what she was seeing. Although she had never seen what S rank harbingers fought like, but this was definitely above the skill of an A rank fighter, was Ronan always this.... Insanely strong?

Another monster launched toward Ronan—sharp claws stretched out. Ronan didn’t even dodge. His body shimmered as the creature’s claws tore through his shirt, dragging deep gashes into his torso.

But Ronan barely registered their words, it seemed every of his senses was blocked out and only focused on the fight, on killing every single one of these monsters as ruthlessly as possible, not even giving a damn care to what happened to his body. They had spent over an hour battling these things. Every time they killed one, it regenerated. But now—

Ronan was moving like lightning, his daggers flashing. Each strike was calculated. Efficient. He ducked beneath a monster’s swing and drove his blade into its neck, spinning with such speed it seemed he left afterimages.

A scream rang out from the right. Everyone flinched, raising whatever weapons they had as they turned.

It wasn’t just any monster, it was similar to the one that had tried attacking Jace earlier, extremely fast, faster than the others. And this time, the monster aimed at Siena. She raised her blade, getting ready to strike if....

But suddenly, the monster targeting her split into two.

Ronan stood behind it, blood dripping from his weapon. And without saying another word to them, he turned again and continued fighting the other monsters, tirelessly and relentlessly.

"Damn, how fast did he have to move to have caught up so quickly and killed that monster in seconds." Someone muttered.

Hugo’s jaw tightened. "I’m glad he didn’t activate his system when we fought the first time," he said with a soft laugh. "I’d be a dead man."

"That’s what happens when you underestimate someone," one of the team mates replied without looking away from Ronan, infact...they were all so invested in the fight, like they were watching a whole scene out of something fictional.

The monsters seemed to notice that the person they were fighting at the moment was far above their liege and they would all end up dead if they kept going...so they started targeting the other team members who they could sense were weaker.

One of the monsters lunged for kara, another female in the squad, subconsciously, she screamed Ronan’s name, it was obvious he was the only one who could help her at the moment.

A gravitational wave blasted out from Ronan’s palm, slamming the creature into the wall so hard it left a crater.

But then, his thoughts were cut off by a sudden roar that erupted beneath the rubble.

"Look out!" someone screamed.

Ronan didn’t hesitate. He stabbed one dagger into the ground and slammed his palm against the dirt.

A translucent dome of deep blue expanded instantly around the team. The shockwave slammed against it—but it didn’t even ripple.

The team gaped.

"What—what the hell is that?" Siena whispered. She had seen a shield barrier before, infact... someone from her team had that ability, and she was hell as sure no two system users owned same abilities, it could be similar but never same, so how did Ronan get a shield barrier ability?

"A shield?" Mila asked.

Ronan’s system flickered.

He rose slowly, the shield still glowing around the team.

"Just how many abilities does this guy have?" Hugo muttered, unable to hide his disbelief. "Seriously... what kind of system did he awaken?"

The huge monster let out another snarl and charged forward, massive claws carving the air.

Ronan narrowed his eyes, he could instantly sense it, that monster was just huge and nothing more, it lacked both speed and agility, just a monster capable of sending loud shock waves to massacre everything in its way. If he killed it, would he be able to extract it’s skill? it would definitely come in handy later on if he succeeded.

His daggers pulsed.

The air warped around him. Gravity condensed around his feet as he launched upward, the ground cracking from the force, he slammed one dagger into the monster’s arm, twisting his body midair, and using the momentum to spin and land a brutal slash across its chest.

The monster roared.

It swung it’s arm, trying to catch Ronan, maybe to squash him with its massive arm.

Ronan disappeared.

He reappeared behind it.

One cold breath escaped his lips.

"You’re too slow."

The monster turned—

SLASH!

One clean, devastating blow.

The creature froze, its eyes widening. A line split down its chest, and with a final thump, it collapsed in two massive halves.

Silence.

Then—

BOOM!

As its body hit the ground, every remaining monster still standing collapsed instantly.

Ronan stood amid the carnage, breathing slowly. The glowing aura surrounding him began to fade. His daggers disappeared in shimmering dust. He slowly reached down to touch the monster.

Everyone watched in silence, throat dry from constant gasping....and brows furrowed, wondering what Ronan was doing down there with the monster.

Once he was done, he rose up and turned slightly, looked back at them—expression unreadable.

And then, finally...

[System Deactivated]

His knees buckled.

"Shit—!" Siena cursed, immediately noticing that Ronan was collapsing, she darted forward, catching him before his body collapsed entirely.

"Ronan!?"

He didn’t respond.

His eyes fluttered shut, his body heavy in her arms.

Hugo let out a slow exhale. "Now that... was the most terrifying thing I’ve ever seen."

The battlefield was silent. Not a single enemy left, just everyone looking completely disheveled, still shocked and confused about what just happened, and Ronan passed out in Sienna’s arms.

"We should get going everyone...right now." Siena ordered, gathering Ronan in her arms as she tried to stand up. Damn he was heavy.

"Captain, we got a little problem."

"What?"

"It’s Jace, he seemed to have passed out, he lost too much blood and might not make it."
