Chapter 50: Chapter 50 Bai Saves Me

The Wilderness tribe had endured humiliation and borne heavy burdens for years. Now, as they emerged to make their mark on the world, full of pride and ready to invade the Heaven Martial Continent, they hadn’t expected a woman suffused with immortal energy to arrive at this very moment.

With a Snow Sword in hand and dressed in a white long-sleeved gown, she resembled a Fairy from the Nine Heavens.

Yet, every member of the Wilderness tribe knew that appearances were deceiving; this woman was not to be trifled with.

Her cultivation realm wasn’t the highest, nor was her combat strength supreme, but her cultivation methods, including her Attack Skill, were deeply enigmatic.

Once she made her move, her actions were often inscrutable.

If she couldn’t win, she would lightly leap away, departing the battlefield.

Her speed was so immense that even the mighty Demon Birds couldn’t catch her. And that wasn’t all—she possessed an incredibly acute sense of danger. If you were thinking of setting a trap for her...

HEH! Sorry, it wouldn’t work.

A huge-crowd strategy was useless against her; she cultivated a Secret Technique that allowed her to vanish in an instant.

Such was the woman who had turned the Wasteland upside down. Yet, they were powerless against her, grinding their teeth in hatred but clueless as to what to do.

Now, hearing she was approaching again, all the members of the Wilderness tribe wore somber expressions.

The Master of the Wilderness, his expression cold, strode forward. "Human Clan, do not go too far."

HUH? Wen Yuqing blinked, her three thousand strands of black hair swaying, her immortal energy palpable. She chuckled lightly, "When have I ever gone too far? Where have I gone too far?" Her tone was light, tinged with a hint of mockery, as if she had seen through their schemes.

The Master of the Wilderness remained silent, his face cold.

She continued, "The ones who have gone too far should be you, right?"

"The very first day I entered the Wilderness tribe, your people laid hands on me... TSK TSK. And all those things left behind by my Human Clan seem to have been divided up by your tribe, haven’t they?"

"..."

Laid hands on her. That had been the work of the lower-class tribesmen, but the disturbance had kept escalating, eventually involving the upper-class tribesmen, the royal family, and even the Emperor Clan...

Despite fighting for so long, the Wilderness tribe still didn’t know what they could possibly gain from her; it was as if they were facing a life-or-death battle for their entire race.

Thinking back, it hadn’t actually been that severe.

As for the things left behind by the Human Clan, the Master of the Wilderness had no retort to that statement.

Years ago, geniuses of the Human Clan had entered this place, taking away whatever treasures they could and leaving the rest behind.

Subsequently, after the Wilderness tribe emerged, these cultivation resources became the foundation for their various factions.

But what of it? In the Wasteland, we, the Wilderness tribe, are the masters, and the Human Clan is the foreign enemy. Is it wrong for us to take back our own cultivation resources?

Wen Yuqing’s smile was brilliant. "No rebuttal? Well then! I’m just a delicate and soft woman, unable to hold your tribe to account..."

HEH! Upon hearing those words, the expressions of the Wilderness tribe powerhouses all began to twitch.

You? Delicate and soft?

"Don’t worry!" Wen Yuqing said. "I didn’t come for anything else this time. I’ve heard that your tribe possesses the most perfect bloodline seed. May I have a look at it?"

I’ll show you your grandpa! The Master of the Wilderness was furious internally but dared not let it show on his face, fearing this woman would set her sights on Shang. With a stern expression, he said, "You’re overthinking things. There’s no such thing as a perfect bloodline; that’s merely a legend. The Primitive Demon God perished long ago, and there’s no way it can be revived."

"Is that so?" Wen Yuqing blinked. "The Primitive Demon God really can’t be revived? What a pity! In that case... since you don’t have the perfect bloodline, why not give me the body of the Primitive Demon God to try?"

So, this woman is after the Primitive Demon God’s body!

The Wilderness tribe powerhouses: "..."

The body of the Primitive Demon God was their only chance—a powerful entity capable of breaking the seal and counterbalancing the Heaven Martial Continent.

Without the Primitive Demon God, the Wilderness tribe might forever be suppressed by the Human Clan.

She’s dreaming.

"So, will you give it to me?" Wen Yuqing smiled.

"Impossible!" The Master of the Wilderness was resolute, his eyes cold. He then added, "Today, powerhouses from the Ancient Races have gathered here. Human woman, do you really think we cannot kill you?"

With these words, the powerhouses of the Ancient Races stepped forward.

Wen Yuqing glanced over them and said nonchalantly, "If you won’t give it, never mind. I’m a reasonable person; if you won’t give it today, I’ll come back tomorrow." With that, she leaped and vanished from the spot.

"This is too much!"

"I can’t take it anymore! We have to kill her!"

"Damn Human Clan woman!"

"Shut up!" The Master of the Wilderness’s expression darkened. "We will not speak of this again."

He knew full well whether they could fight her or win.

Moreover, the most urgent issue at hand was not Wen Yuqing, but that Human Clan Demon Cultivator.

She was currently deep within the abyss and might have already found the eyes of the Primitive Demon God.

"Master of the Wilderness, should I rush over now?" Shang lifted his head.

"No!" The Master of the Wilderness shook his head. "Unless it’s absolutely necessary, your identity cannot be revealed. Besides... this matter must be handled discreetly; otherwise, it will catch that woman’s attention."

"So?"

"Let those below handle it. That way, the commotion won’t be too big, nor will it attract her attention."

「Deeper in the abyss.」

BANG! Guang Xiaoyu seemed to have stepped on something, and in an instant, a powerful force erupted from below.

She let out a cry of alarm and, unable to react in time, was sent flying.

After steadying herself, she finally saw what was under her foot... No, it was a fluffy bundle, some kind of creature with a pair of eerie eyes that were not intimidating but rather cute-looking.

Guang Xiaoyu raised her guard. "What are you?"

Without another word, the creature charged at her. Guang Xiaoyu saw something below it that resembled a mouth.

It opened wide, revealing several sharp fangs.

This sight made Guang Xiaoyu’s scalp tingle. To think such a cute creature is also one of the dark kind! And its combat ability doesn’t seem weak either.

She turned and fled.

There was a figure ahead, getting closer and closer.

Once Guang Xiaoyu recognized who it was, a smile spread across her face, and she shouted, "Bai, save me!"

HMM? The person was Bai Yunfei. Hearing someone call out to him, he instinctively looked in that direction and immediately frowned. "How are you here?"

The abyss, enveloped in darkness, was fraught with the Power of Death; one slight misstep could lead to being devoured.

He possessed a bone rod that could repel the darkness, and it was with this item that he had been able to enter the abyss.

But why is Guang Xiaoyu here too? Is she being chased? Excellent!

He instinctively curved his lips into a smile, preparing to flee.

But... upon seeing the small creature behind Guang Xiaoyu, he couldn’t help but snicker. "Xiao Yu, you really are formidable. As a leader of the Wuji Sect, you can’t even handle a small creature."

OUCH! Guang Xiaoyu arrived, gasping for air, and said, "Yes, yes! It’s too frightening. Please lend a hand, Bai."

Bai Yunfei looked at her dismissively, sneering inwardly, but he decided not to make too much of it.

It’s just a minor creature, after all.

However... when he attacked, the Attack Skill he cast was completely devoured by the small creature. Its sharp fangs surfaced, leaving Bai Yunfei dumbfounded.

This is no small creature! It’s clearly a monster from the abyss, and it might even possess an Ancient Bloodline! It can actually devour an attack!

Turning around, wanting to ask Guang Xiaoyu what it was, he found she was nowhere to be seen behind him.

Bai Yunfei’s face turned ashen. "Damn it!" He attacked again, but the result was the same; his attack was directly devoured.

It rushed towards him, its speed increasing.

Its gaze, fixed on Bai Yunfei, was not only eerie but also alarmingly intense, like that of a starving man who had just spotted a young maiden. That kind of desire...

Far off, Guang Xiaoyu laughed heartily. "Goodbye!"

Of course, Bai Yunfei couldn’t hear her.

She walked towards the depths. After some time, the space grew increasingly oppressive, an aura of Divine Might permeating the air. The power within it felt as heavy as Mount Tai—incredibly so.

The Primitive Demon God in her mind seemed to sense some sort of calling, stirring restlessly.

Guang Xiaoyu moved forward cautiously.

After a while, she arrived at an ancient altar. It wasn’t very large, and she couldn’t make out its color, nor the details of what lay around it.

The only thing Guang Xiaoyu could see was a pair of eyes at the center of the altar. It was impossible to tell if they were eerie or vacant; they would flicker with color one moment, only to turn deep and profound the next.

These were the eyes of the Primitive Demon God.

Guang Xiaoyu smiled. "It seems I, the Emperor, truly am blessed with Fate Energy."

In truth, it was all thanks to the Nine Revolutions Demon God Skill and had little to do with her directly.

The Primitive Demon God had sensed the existence of its own eyes, thus leading her forward, which was why her experience entering the abyss was different from others; she faced no taboos.

She scanned the area. Sensing the aura fluctuations nearby, she immediately strode forward. After she retrieved the eyes of the Primitive Demon God, the altar instantly crumbled to dust.

The space began to tremble.

Not having time to assimilate the eyes of the Primitive Demon God, Guang Xiaoyu turned and ran.

About ten minutes later, she saw Bai Yunfei again. He looked disheveled, and his expression was grim. Guang Xiaoyu feigned surprise. "Bai? What happened to you?"
