Journey to the West: Great Saint Equal to Heaven -
Chapter 34 - 34 34 Kunpeng Ran Away!
34: Chapter 34: Kunpeng, Ran Away!
34: Chapter 34: Kunpeng, Ran Away!
The East Sea, Guanyin Bodhisattva and the others had arrived.
Upon witnessing the tragic scene before them, they too were taken aback.
Especially the Resentful Spirits that were continuously emerging, which changed their expressions drastically.
“Please, Guanyin Bodhisattva, lend your power and help our Dragon Clan resolve these Resentful Spirits.”
Guanyin Bodhisattva brought her palms together; Buddha’s Light shone all around her as the sound of Buddha chanting arose.
The Resentful Spirits began to disintegrate at an astonishing rate.
Even so, it merely maintained balance.
As some spirits diminished, others emerged, and their number did not appear to decrease.
“What exactly has happened?
Where is Wukong?”
Guanyin Bodhisattva asked.
Ao Guang’s old face was filled with bitterness as he sighed and said, “A group of audacious demons opened the seal of the East Sea Eye, releasing the Resentful Spirits from their ancient seal.
Just moments ago, the Roc Demon King struck down the Dragon Girl, but the Great Saint used a resurrection spell to save her.
Now he has already gone after them.”
“How can we reseal it?”
Guanyin Bodhisattva instantly understood the crux of the issue.
Below the East Sea Eye, countless eras of Resentful Spirits were sealed, making it the filthiest place between Heaven and Earth.
And warriors from the Dragon Clan had always been guarding the seal.
In the eyes of later generations of gods, immortals, and demons, the Dragon Clan of the Four Seas seemed weak.
But the true top powers of the Three Realms all knew the Dragon Clan’s actual strength.
The strength of the Four Seas Dragon Clan was truly fearsome.
“Unless there is a being whose body rivals that of the Ancestral Dragon to go down and repair the seal, otherwise, the seal cannot be blocked at all,” Ao Guang said with a wry smile.
A body mighty enough to rival the Ancestral Dragon’s, among those they could find in Heaven and Earth, there was only one Sun Wukong.
Guanyin Bodhisattva immediately had an idea.
“I will stay here to purify the Resentful Spirits, waiting for Wukong to return.”
Ao Guang forced a smile and said, “Now, that’s the only thing we can do.”
At the edge of Heaven and Earth, a terrifying battle erupted.
Wukong swung his staff in his hands, sending the Roc Demon King flying outwards.
The Roc Demon King let out a wail, staring at Wukong with eyes full of disbelief.
He actually was no match for Wukong.
Hidden in the shadows, the Flood Dragon Demon King curled his lips.
The third brother was truly too presumptuous.
The seventh brother’s strength was, if anything, stronger than that of the eldest.
The Roc Demon King had barely managed a draw with the eldest, and yet he thought he could defeat the seventh brother, which was utterly ridiculous.
Sun Wukong showed no mercy with his strikes.
The Roc Demon King had made moves against those close to him time and again, which had ignited Wukong’s intent to kill.
Now, all talk of sworn brotherhood and sentiments was complete nonsense.
There wasn’t much interaction between him and the Roc Demon King to begin with.
Wukong’s strength had reached an astonishing level at this moment.
The Roc Demon King was left with no power to fight back.
He glared at Wukong, his heart filled with unwillingness.
“Master, save me.”
The Roc Demon King suddenly cried out loudly.
“Hmph.”
A cold snort was heard, and powerful Mana awoke, transforming into a Demon Sword that slashed towards Wukong.
Kunpeng.
It had finally made a move.
Wukong swept the Roc Demon King aside with his staff, and astonishingly, his aura climbed even higher.
He met the attack head-on with his staff, Mana boiling over, and the Great Dao of Heaven and Earth coalesced upon his staff as he ferociously smashed it into the Demon Sword.
Dong.
A thunderous sound rang out, and cracks appeared at the bounds of Heaven and Earth, with Chaos Qi spilling out from the void.
Wukong blocked the adversary’s sword strike but no longer paid any attention to the Roc Demon King.
He dived into the water and charged straight into the Dark Hall.
“Has he gone mad?
Dares he challenge the master?”
The Roc Demon King was seriously injured, but at that moment, he couldn’t care less.
He looked at the scene before him in shock, feeling that Sun Wukong had simply gone mad.
The Flood Dragon Demon King also emerged from the void, no longer concealing his tracks.
Both Demon Clan Great Saints were somewhat dumbfounded.
Afterward, they could feel that Kunpeng’s Great Dao was reviving and colliding with another Great Dao.
Immense mana tangled together and then exploded, turning the very fabric of Heaven and Earth upside down.
It was terrifying.
This aura was definitely beyond the level of Celestial Immortals clashing, it could be described as a battle at the level of Heavenly Venerates.
Kunpeng was certainly a Heavenly Venerate, and among them, he was a Great Heavenly Venerate.
Although Sun Wukong was a Taiyi Celestial Immortal, his strength had already reached the pinnacle of Celestial Immortals and was about to step into the realm of Heavenly Venerates.
He was already a top War God of the Three Realms, and with an Undying Body and an Indestructible Soul, it was not surprising that he could withstand a hard fight with Kunpeng.
Neither the Flood Dragon Demon King nor the Roc Demon King had any intention of joining the battle.
They knew Kunpeng would not be defeated, but they were more curious to see how far Sun Wukong could go.
Perhaps, today would be the day the Great Sage Equalling Heaven met his complete downfall.
Both Demon Clan Great Saints were a bit tense.
This battle did not last long.
In just a quarter of an hour, Sun Wukong burst out.
The Dark Hall was nearly dismantled, more than half destroyed.
Sun Wukong laughed heartily, standing in the sky leaning on his Jingu Bang, and he disdainfully said, “So-called Kunpeng, that’s all you amount to.”
Hum.
A tangible killing intent was released from the Dark Hall, enveloping Sun Wukong.
With the Jingu Bang in his hand, Sun Wukong pointed at the Dark Hall, sneering and saying, “Kunpeng, if you dare to come out into the world, then come out and have a hearty battle with me, Old Sun is curious to know if you have the guts.”
The killing intent became even more intense, Roc Demon King hoped Kunpeng would break forth.
But ultimately, he was disappointed.
Soon after, the killing intent of Kunpeng dissipated, and even a dark light flashed by and swept the Dark Hall away.
Kunpeng ran away?
The minds of the two Demon Sages were a bit slow to react.
The Flood Dragon Demon King was the first to come to his senses, and he turned tail and fled.
He knew Sun Wukong was not aiming for him and was not afraid of Sun Wukong catching up.
The face of the Roc Demon King changed wildly; he had killed the Dragon Girl, which was why Sun Wukong became enraged.
Now that his master had fled, he would certainly not be spared.
Now severely wounded, he was no match for Sun Wukong.
Thinking of this, the Roc Demon King burned his essence blood and also fled.
Sun Wukong did not chase after him, just coldly watched the direction in which Roc Demon King disappeared.
Only when Roc Demon King vanished from sight did a trickle of fresh blood seep from the corners of his mouth.
Sun Wukong wiped the blood from the corner of his mouth, circulated his mana, and began to heal himself.
“You monkey, I told you not to make a move on Kunpeng, do you know that your master almost had to make a move to save you just now?”
A voice of rebuke came through.
Li Guangming appeared on the side, dressed as a woodcutter, with a stern expression, and he directly threw a pill to Sun Wukong.
Nine-Turn Great Restoration Pill.
Sun Wukong was moved.
Could his master’s true identity be Lord Li?
If not for him, who else could refine the Nine-Turn Great Restoration Pill?
Furthermore, the way he had stolen the Immortal Pill was clearly intended for him to take.
Otherwise, with the skills of the Elder Lord, he would have had no chance of acquiring the pill.
Within the Furnace of Eight Trigrams, the Elder Lord did not refine him but instead forged him into a Vajra Indestructible Body.
The peaches of immortality and pills he had consumed were all thoroughly refined and turned into his own cultivation, making him much stronger in a short time.
Otherwise, it would have been easy for the Elder Lord to kill him.
Back then, he wasn’t an Undying Body yet.
Moreover, the Elder Lord was a Daoist Ancestor, and had even once transformed into Buddha, imparting teachings to Confucius as well.
He was equally adept in the teachings of Confucianism, Buddhism, and Daoism.
Li Guangming glanced at Sun Wukong and said, “Do not overthink it, you will come to know when it is time for you to know.”
