I've Become the King of Villains in the Game -
Chapter 904 - 585 Declaring War on Darkness (Requesting Monthly Tickets!)
"It’s just a blessing..."
Doghead Gold looked disdainful.
His eyes were just short of rolling out two lemons.
Horseman Kuang Benkuang and others were full of envy, and the Dragon King spoke up beside them:
"So jealous, Brother Bei, this is a blessing personally bestowed by Jack... Our blessing slots are still empty!"
Wei Yin secretly clenched her little fists.
If possible, she even wanted to tear this term down and stick it on her forehead.
"Haven’t any of you noticed the words ’demigod’?"
Su Keying suddenly spoke.
Everyone looked at each other, and the Dragon King curiously asked:
"What rank is demigod?"
The scene was quiet for a few seconds, Dongyang coughed and said softly:
"Based on information the guild collected recently, demigod should be Sequence Three, at least over level 200..."
"?!"
Everyone took a gulp of cold air.
"When did Jack become so badass..."
"It still feels like not much time has passed, and he became a high-level entity, and now he’s ascended to demigod... Gasp, no wonder he’s the child of the version."
"Too bad I missed Jack’s storyline, ahh it pisses me off!"
Wei Yin was frantic.
The group chatted for a while about Jack, feeling both proud and excited.
Polaris was silent for a moment, then spoke again:
"In the future, besides level, skills and blessings are very important aspects. If given a chance, you must focus on enhancing these."
Everyone turned their gaze to him.
Polaris continued to share his insights:
"After all, then, most players will be in the same sequence, and only by focusing on these details can you create gaps between each other."
"Duly noted, Brother Bei!"
The Dragon King was the first to flatter, then immediately asked:
"So how can we get Jack’s blessing?"
"First you have to become his student, then step in a big pile of dog poop."
Wei Yin said seriously.
"But rather than hoping on dog poop, you might as well wish for a server crash and rollback to beta, then you could kneel at Jack’s door first, and it might happen."
The Dragon King’s face fell.
The crowd couldn’t help but smile.
After chatting for a few more sentences, the Polaris Squad prepared for the next round of leveling, continuing to hunt the wandering pollution creatures in the Spirit World.
But at this moment.
Ding!
A prompt box popped up on everyone’s panel —
[You have triggered an A-level main quest: Darkness Annihilation!]
Task description: "White Dragon" Jack Spett has sensed that dark contamination has spread to the present world, and the world is on the brink of disaster. He intends to formally declare war on the darkness as Vice Speaker of the Generous Council and Leader of the Circus!
This is a human counterattack; participants will follow the steps of the "White Dragon" to counterattack the Dark World, until facing the final pollution source — "Father of Darkness" Distadact!
Note: All players from the Generous Council, Circus, and even official Empire faction, can accept his call to participate in this grand event.
Mission Target: Suppress the Ancient God "Father of Darkness" Distadact.
Optional Targets: Restrict the spread of darkness as much as possible, kill pollution creatures, dark believers, and clans. (Final reward depends on contribution degree)
Task rewards: Settlement based on contribution. (Reward pool — Experience Points, Coins, region notoriety, Imperial Contribution Points, Generous Council Contribution Points, Circus Contribution Points, Jack Affection, Special Attributes Points, and Blessing Points, etc.)
Note: Contribution degree of this task can be inherited in "Main Quest: Dark Revival."
"Woah—"
Doghead Gold, the Horseman, and the Dragon King exclaimed excitedly.
The Polaris Squad members looked at each other.
"We knew Jack would be the major storyline character in version 2.1, but who the heck could have thought he would be the initiator and leader of the counterattack in the Spirit World!"
The Dragon King said quickly.
"Too cool..."
Wei Yin was full of fascination, her cheeks flushed.
Dongyang and Chenxi, the upper echelons of the two major guilds, whispered to each other, then used their powers to have the Hall of Valor and Chuxi investigate.
Before long.
The news came.
Their expressions were surprised.
"What happened, Dong?"
The Dragon King asked.
Dongyang took a deep breath and said seriously:
"As the task description says, players from the Generous Council and the Circus have all received this task prompt, and the message is spreading quickly, with players groups from Shelter and the Seven Gods Church, many have the intent to participate..."
He paused a moment, looked around at everyone.
"According to calculations and predictions from our Hall of Valor’s logistics department, the players participating in this task may exceed a million, among them, the number of Mid Sequence high-level players above Sequence Seven, won’t be less than ten thousand!"
"A million Transcendents! Ten thousand Mid Sequence?!"
The Polaris Squad was shocked by these numbers.
Although everyone usually knows the player community’s strength is generally rising, it’s only now seeing accurate numbers that they feel astonished.
What kind of terrifying force is this...
Could easily smash any city in the Empire, right?
"Our analysis at Chuxi suggests that Jack’s actions this time could very well be a major turning point in the 2.1 version’s main storyline... possibly even triggering a full-scale war between the Empire and the Seven Gods Church against the darkness of the Spirit World!"
Chenxi whispered.
"Then what are we waiting for, let’s quickly prepare a wave in the Immortal Realm!"
The Dragon King exclaimed loudly.
Though no one said it, everyone actually had this plan.
Anticipation appeared on everyone’s faces... just like when they participated in the Blood Battle at the end of version 1.0.

"Vice Speaker Jack, are you really going to launch a full-scale attack?"
At the headquarters of the Generous Council, a Gold Cup councilman stood up solemnly in the crowded first-floor Great Hall.
Chen Lun stood on the stage.
Behind him were Frey Akebin and his subordinate council members, as well as the Circus cadres.
He calmly bathed in the light, nodded slightly, and his voice amplified through the microphone resonated in the spacious Great Hall:
"Yes, the decision has been discussed by the Senate and unanimously approved by Speaker Azjiluo and ten Governing Officers."
Wow!
The thousands of council members in attendance suddenly buzzed.
Countless eyes turned to the front row, where besides Azjiluo sitting in the center, the other ten Governing Officers were seated on either side of the Speaker, including two newly promoted reserve Governing Officers from the Gold Cup council.
After a moment of intense discussion, Chen Lun raised his hand.
The crowd gradually fell silent.
Facing Vice Speaker Jack Spett, every council member was filled with complex emotions... He was once the youngest Governing Officer and now holds a position of status second only to the Speaker.
Jack has always been amiable and has repeatedly made significant contributions to the council, which everyone has witnessed. Most council members have great respect for this Vice Speaker.
But now, hearing that Mr. Jack intends to launch a counterattack against the Spirit World on behalf of the Generous Council, everyone felt shocked, surprised, and incredulous.
The pollution originating deep within the Spirit World has already spread, and the previous strategic deployments by the Empire and the Seven Gods Church were not ineffective. At that time, it was Jack himself who proposed to recruit the Undead Foreigners as vanguards to freely hunt the Pollution Tide, with official forces providing targeted assistance.
But even so, it only curbed the situation for less than a year.
The situation has rapidly deteriorated to the point that mass Didak Bug People massacres have appeared even in the present world…
Due to the severity, the council members are worried that having the Generous Council take the lead may not be a good idea.
"But Vice Speaker, even if a full-scale attack is to be launched, wouldn’t it be better led by the Royal Family and the Imperial Judgement Group?"
Another Gold Cup council member spoke up after being permitted.
His remarks were met with much agreement.
"You’re right, Councilman Doral. Indeed, the Royal Family and the Judgement Group would be more suitable to lead this matter, but thus far, they have shown no clear intention..."
Chen Lun spoke calmly.
"Having gone through the Red Calamity and the Sunset City incident, the Empire has suffered greatly with no spare strength to launch a counterattack... or perhaps they dare not make a rash move. Both inside and outside the Empire are unstable, and any carelessness could trigger unrest across the entire continent."
The audience held their breath.
Everyone heard the underlying message in Vice Speaker Jack’s words...
The Empire can no longer afford unrest, and with the Seven Gods Church’s internal troubles and the external threats from the three major vassal kingdoms, further decline could very well lead to a world war.
"Why do we need to step up?"
Chen Lun raised his voice, glancing coldly across the audience.
No one dared to meet his gaze.
"Because the Lord we serve is Conrad! He is the King of Slaughter, the God of Covenant, the embodiment of fairness... when the present world is engulfed by darkness, we should respond with slaughter! In time, the world will remember our achievements and sing the great name of Conrad!"
The emphatic words echoed in the Great Hall, resonating endlessly.
"The Undead Foreigners have already grown, and they will be our sharpest blade, and with this blade, the council can minimize the losses... Additionally, participation in this operation is entirely voluntary."
Chen Lun raised his head, his eyes reflecting the dazzling light.
"Now, in the name of Vice Speaker of the Generous Council, Jack Spett, I formally declare war on the Dark World!"
"Doral seconds it!"
"Zago seconds it!"
"Seconded..."
In the Great Hall, council members stood up one after another.
Some hesitant council members also stood up, raising their fists and shouting.
In the front row, the Speaker nodded with a smile, and the Governing Officers like Kingsberg looked at the man on stage with a flash of respect.
Randa, Malek, and Mide took a deep breath and saluted Jack, while the two newly appointed reserve Governing Officers appeared somewhat nervous, feeling uncomfortable in such a scene.
But upon seeing the reaction of the other Governing Officers, the two also followed suit and saluted.
Chen Lun calmly surveyed the audience.
In his heart, he thought:
’I never thought that with my current identity and status, I could really influence the progress of the Main Quest… and players at this stage are no longer mere cannon fodder; they are a formidable force. It’s a pity if not utilized properly.’
Suppressing the Ancient God Father of Darkness is merely a pretext; he never actually intended to accomplish this... The main goal is actually for leveling up!
The Experience Points required to max out the [Drama Master] is a massive chasm, accumulating by himself would take an indefinite amount of time.
While players under his command participating in the Main Quest would share experience rewards with him, Chen Lun intends to capitalize on this mechanism to amass an enormous amount of experience in a short time for leveling up.
He couldn’t help but wonder:
’If, by any chance, we manage to defeat the Father of Darkness, the 2.1 version BOSS, what would happen then?’
In his past life, Chen Lun only made it this far in the version, and he did not know how the subsequent plot would develop.
But according to his personal deduction, there should probably be two to three more mini versions after this, gradually opening up the level cap. Once the players generally reach the Mid Sequence, they will then launch a full-scale attack on the Dark World under the leadership of the Empire and the Seven Gods Church.
This can be considered an early counterattack, relatively smaller in scale.
But if the version BOSS could indeed be taken down in advance, wouldn’t it count as rewriting a vast destiny, and could it result in huge feedback rewards?
