I've Become the King of Villains in the Game -
Chapter 856 - 542 Luck and Misfortune
Kadir felt his vision blur.
The next second.
He found himself in a dimly lit place, somewhat familiar but eerily silent.
Bookshelves were neatly arranged all around, filled with books, and some familiar lecturers and professors were reading there. Kadir’s arrival seemed to go unnoticed, and everything appeared normal.
"This is the secret library on the fifth floor of the academy’s main library... How did I suddenly get here?!"
Kadir was initially startled and suspicious, but then felt a chill down his spine. Such a bizarre occurrence made him shiver.
He looked up and saw a young man in a black suit and a black top hat sitting on a wooden chair in front of him, reading a book with an ivory-white cane casually leaning on the chair’s edge.
"Come, sit."
The man didn’t lift his head, merely pointed to an empty chair beside him.
Kadir’s heart tightened.
Now he knew that his sudden arrival here was due to this gentleman... and the extent of this feat hinted at the other’s identity.
This was a Saint, Your Majesty!
He quickly lowered his head, respectfully bowed, and softly greeted:
"Kadir greets Your Majesty..."
Then, very cautiously, he walked to the chair beside him and sat down, not daring to make any loud noise from start to finish.
At this moment, Kadir no longer seemed like a professor at Saint Byron Academy but like a small student who had just entered the Mystic Realm, sitting upright and obediently.
He could clearly hear his own heartbeat, thumping fast and loudly, sounding rather "noisy" in this quiet environment. Sweat, urged by something called nervousness, appeared on his forehead and back, soaking his hair and shirt.
Time ticked by, second by second.
Kadir remained in an uneasy state, awaiting instructions from Your Majesty. However, the other seemed to forget about him, continuing to read without speaking.
Half an hour passed in the blink of an eye.
In that time, the gentleman in the black hat got up several times to change books, but never spoke a word to him. Just as Kadir’s anxiety was about to peak, the other finally closed his book and looked over.
"Your Majesty..."
Kadir forced a smile.
The other simply patted his shoulder, then, leaning on the white cane, turned and slowly walked away.
"What does that mean?"
Kadir looked confused.
Watching the departing figure, he couldn’t help but let out a sigh of relief, and realized he was drenched in sweat.
After sitting for a few more minutes and catching his breath, he finally stood up. He walked to the door, stopped, and respectfully asked the pale man at the registration desk:
"Your Majesty Gallio, may I ask... who was Your Majesty just now?"
The man wearing thick glasses was examining a piece of stone carving in great detail. Disturbed by Kadir’s question, he irritably lifted his eyelids, sneering:
"Heh, him... just a new ordinary professor, and by the way, I advise you to mind your own business. If you encounter any misfortune, that won’t be good."
Kadir’s heart skipped a beat.
A new professor?!
Now he finally understood why Your Majesty had brought him here... probably because of the recent conflict among students!
The young people led by the blue hat were His students!
Damn...
Kadir cursed himself inwardly, trembling as he pulled out a handkerchief to wipe the sweat from his forehead. He was relieved that he hadn’t done anything biased against those students, or it wouldn’t have been just a half-hour sit-down.
"Thank you for your advice, I understand now."
He quickly thanked the administrator, but the other just cursed impatiently, telling him to leave, then continued studying the stone carving.
Kadir took a deep breath and almost fled the place...
At the same time, he thought to himself that no matter how troublesome the students of Pask might be, he would no longer care about their fate!

Accompanied by the sound of sticks hitting, there were continuous screams.
Whoosh—Boom!
"Ah! Please stop hitting!"
"I apologize, I apologize!"
Whoosh—Thud!
"Aah! I’m sorry! Felisiano, I shouldn’t have hit you or joined in cursing your family and father with Pask. I’m sorry! Please forgive us!"
A group of young men in green robes were lying on the ground, faces swollen and bruised, writhing and crying like maggots.
Polaris stood nearby, holding a cane, occasionally whipping it. After the whistling sound of it slicing through the air, came the heavy thud of hitting flesh and the shrill cries.
"Senior Polaris, that’s enough, let’s leave it at that."
Felisiano stepped forward, glancing at the miserable state of the youths and gratefully said to Polaris.
Polaris patted the junior on the shoulder, then kicked out again, hitting Pask in the stomach. The guy grunted, retching.
"You’re the only one left who hasn’t apologized. Hurry up."
Polaris said coldly.
Pask’s pig-like face turned red, snot and tears streaming, forehead veins bulging, as he struggled to speak:
"I’m sorry... Felisiano, I beg your forgiveness."
The eldest son of Earl Bellot, at this moment, had an expression of deep fear and a hint of pleading in his eyes.
Felisiano glared at him fiercely, took a deep breath, and said:
"If you dare insult my father and family again, I will definitely kill you!"
"There won’t be a next time, I promise..."
Pask muttered softly.
Felisiano nodded, then turned around and smiled at Sunny Xiaoyu and the others, saying:
"Let’s go, let’s continue the barbecue, I haven’t had enough yet."
"Okay."
Sunny Xiaoyu patted him, and the five of them from Polaris then left, as the surrounding azure-blue view began to fade away slowly.
However, just then, Lucy, who was walking at the back, suddenly noticed she stepped on something and was momentarily stunned. She stopped, bent down, and picked it up, finding it to be a rectangular object wrapped in some worn leather.
"Something brought over by the Spirit World’s chaotic currents..."
She was a bit puzzled.
Asoka then turned around to look at her, urging her silently with his gaze. Lucy responded with a smile and followed up, holding the picked-up parcel.
After returning to the present world, everyone came back to the lawn where they had their meal earlier. While everyone was still discussing what had just happened, Lucy had already sat at the table and opened the parcel.
"Huh, what’s this?"
Felisiano glanced over, curiosity piqued.
"Picked it up in the Spirit World just now..."
Lucy explained.
Everyone cast curious looks because inside the parcel was an oddly black-covered book, covered with what seemed like proliferating tissue.
"I feel a strong unease from this book... it seems to hide some great danger."
Felisiano crossed his arms and shivered.
Even Polaris beside him showed a shocked expression; he exchanged glances with Sunny Xiaoyu before saying in a deep voice:
"This is an extremely evil Mythical Tome, best not to open it rashly, as it would be dangerous for us..."
"Then how should we handle this?"
Felisiano asked.
"Give it to the professor."
Polaris thought for a moment and suggested.
Lucy nodded and rewrapped the book with the irregular leather piece.
"That was my plan as well..."
She smiled.

A moment later.
In the professor’s apartment.
Chen Lun looked at the book on the coffee table with a peculiar expression.
He lifted his gaze and swept over Felisiano, who instantly showed a nervous expression, perhaps remembering how his seniors described the professor.
However, Chen Lun’s attention was on Felisiano’s status panel... His Luck Points were actually "-20"! And he was even afflicted with a "Misfortune" status!
’No wonder he got a random beating... what’s going on with this guy? Is it the doing of that Destiny high-ranking being behind him? But I’ve never heard that the [Jester] can influence someone’s Luck Points... could it be some Mysterious Object?’
While speculating, Chen Lun looked at Lucy, and her changes were even more surprising.
Because Lucy’s Luck Points had increased again!
They had risen to over 80 Points!
Chen Lun couldn’t help but think that Lucy finding a Mythical Tome was thanks to her high luck... The last time in Peacock City, she relied on her high luck to get Carmen’s Notes, and now it happened again.
He suddenly felt that Lucy was his lucky star.
Among his five students, one was a jinx and one was lucky, which struck him as humorous, whether it was coincidence or Destiny.
’Felisiano’s situation is truly rare; theoretically, Luck Points should only drop to zero, not into negatives... Well, I’ll observe for a while longer, the one behind him will reveal their purpose sooner or later.’
Chen Lun became interested, his mind racing.
He also had a suspicion:
’Could Lucy’s increase in Luck Points be due to her stealing Felisiano’s luck... It’s possible, but I lean towards coincidence, as she has had a surge in luck before.’
Chen Lun then picked up the Mythical Tome on the coffee table, and a prompt appeared instantly——
[You have discovered the Mythical Tome "Evil to the Fullest: Voodoo Sorcerers of The Fourth Era and Former Forbidden Techniques"! ]
Chen Lun raised an eyebrow.
He looked up and cast a look of appreciation at the beautiful girl with dark-green hair.
"Being able to resist desire and handle this calmly, you did well, Lucy... The contents of this book indeed belong to high-ranking knowledge, but also contain danger. If you rashly open it below high rank, you could lose your sanity and eventually lose control due to its twisted contents."
As Chen Lun spoke, he gently stroked the book cover, which seemed to be alive, writhing as he touched it.
The students felt a chill and exchanged relieved glances, grateful they hadn’t opened it in haste.
"Will it be useful to you?"
Lucy asked, pursing her lips.
"Of course, I need this knowledge to supplement my research and inspiration."
Chen Lun was taken aback, then nodded and smiled.
Hearing his answer, Lucy looked delighted.
