Chapter 56: As if you’ll ever know
Seojin brought me a polo that suspiciously fit me perfectly. It was like there was a polo waiting to be used in his wardrobe.
"Sorry, it took me a while to find it." Seojin said, delightedly watching me check out the shirt in his big mirror.
"It’s okay. It’s... Fine." I said. I liked it.
Though it was my size, it had Seojin’s scent. I doubt he ever got to wear such a small polo, so it was probably like that because it had been kept among his clothes for the longest time.
"I wanna know but I don’t want to ask." Seojun suddenly said. He was sitting on his bed. Yeah, we were in Seojun’s room all along and it probed me to ask, also stylishly changing the topic.
"Did you two switch your rooms?" I asked and they both exchanged glances before smiling in response.
"We just decided to switch things up a bit." Seojin said.
"To put it simply. We got bored of staring at one ceiling for too long." Seojun said.
’Too long? It’s not even up to a month since they moved in.’ I thought. But of course, I couldn’t comprehend the needs of these two.
"Hyung," Seojun called, taking my hand in his. He looked at me, and that posture reminded me too much of the previous night, but I couldn’t evade his hand, feeling if I did, I would cause a misunderstanding.
"What is it, Seojun?"
"Are you really okay?" He asked. "You were bleeding a lot."
"I’m fine, you see." I said, bringing my face close to his so he could be certain that there was no trace of blood anywhere.
Then, Seojin grabbed my shoulders and pulled me back.
"Don’t worry, Matteo." He said, suddenly speaking in Italian again. "L’ho già sistemato." He grinned.
Why did he go so far? He would only make the readers confused since they can’t read Italian. And yes, I broke the fourth wall a while ago. So, what do you think I should do with these twins? They’re driving me crazy with confusion.
Anyway, with Seojin saying ’I already fixed him’, Seojun looked at me with a little concern and sighed.
"I just worry, that’s all." He said. "It’s not normal to have a nosebleed out of the blue. It wouldn’t be nice if you were sick too. You could get anemia and..."
"Seojun." I called, taking his hand like he took mine and smiling to reassure him. "I’m fine."
"Alright, Hyung."
"Now that that’s settled, should we go out?" Seojin said and I looked back at him.
"Out? Where are you two going?" I asked. "By the way, did you take your medicine?"
"It’s a little too late to be asking about that now. Don’t you, think, Hyung?" Seojun asked with a little amused grin on his lips.
"What? It seemed like you slept the whole morning so I was worried you two passed out or something. I..."
Seojin suddenly flicked my forehead. Not hard but light enough to snap me out of my worried state and he said,
"Don’t worry too much." He smiled. "We saw your note and ate the food you used your heart and care to cook for us." He said.
Well, if he put it that way, I would only feel awkward.
"And we took our medicine, according to the prescription." Seojun answered and got up from the bed. " Thank you for taking care of us while we were out. I hope we didn’t burden you."
"No... Not at all." I was getting flustered, getting thanked like that. "You didn’t burden me."
"Are you sure?" Seojin said. "Seojun tends to say a lot of weird things when he’s sick."
"As if you’ll ever know. You’re just making assumptions since I’ve never been sick." Seojun retorted but blushed in embarrassment, knowing that was a true fact.
"Of course, I’d know. You’re my twin, after all, so my weird habits are your weird habits as well." Seojin pointed out.
"Ha, glad you know you have weird habits. You tend to be very honest when you’re sick out of your mind." Seojun pointed out.
I watched them bicker and smiled warmly. Sure, there were bits of the twins I was still unfamiliar with. They had grown up so much and had strange habits, even when being nice and calm, they were still humans.
When in closed doors, they were even more humane than anyone could imagine. They bicker like every other sibling does and make mistakes, too.
They weren’t gods, as the world might perceive them and so they had flaws.
Yet, even these flaws were cute. It made me see them in an even more innocent light.
’I don’t know if they remember what they said or did last night because of the fever, but I feel they did. Anyway, I shouldn’t ask questions and make everyone feel awkward. It doesn’t matter anymore.’
"So, should we head out now?" Seojun asked, picking up the jacket from the jacket rake.
"Where are we going?" I asked.
"Hyung, you got the invitation for the anniversary party this Friday, right?" Seojin asked and I nodded. Guess they got it as well. "Then, are you prepared for it?"
"Not really." I answered.
"See. Let’s go together. We need to pick up our ordered suits so we’ll just pick something out for you while we’re there." Seojun answered and I blinked twice.
’Ordered suits. Ah, the company went that far?’ I was honestly stunned.
"So, let’s go."
They didn’t really give me a choice to choose.
"Then, are you two sure you’re okay?" I asked, one more time, just to be sure.
They both smiled brightly and I gave out a sigh of relief. That was what I needed to see to be sure.
The sight of them being weak and unable to walk without staggering scared me. They were so precious and I didn’t want any harm to come to them.
I would rather die than let that happen.
"Then, shall we go? It’s almost evening, but I’m sure we’ll be able to pick out something nice for you before the shop closes. And then we can have dinner."
The plan was great, and from the looks of it, we might just spend a considerable amount of time outside, so I just needed to take care of Lily’s stuff.
"Ah, okay. I’ll just need to set Lily’s auto feeder to..." I paused, my face freezing in the process.
"What’s wrong, Hyung?"
"L-lily." I said and grabbed my hair. "I completely forgot to pick up Lily from the vet."
