Chapter 39: I’ll play games with you guys next sunday
I left the company without the twins again, headed for the vet, and finally bought the automatic feeder.
Geumtae was more than happy to recommend the most expensive and most capable one. Hah, he had business blood flowing through his veins.
But at least now, I wouldn’t need to worry about Lily getting hungry if I ever returned late at night.
It was fairly easy to operate so I didn’t have a problem there.
Sundays are normally free days but when you work in the entertainment industry, you can never tell when your free days are.
We were scheduled to have an outdoor shoot in the afternoon so I decided to clean up in the morning.
I didn’t mess up too much so all I needed to do was focus on the laundry, and clean the after-filth in the robotic liter pen that I bought from Doc Geumtae, which took care of most of Lily’s litter that I had no chance of doing, and maybe bath her... If I don’t die before then, that is. Hehe.
Lily was feisty when it came to baths.
Little into my cleaning time, someone rang the doorbell.
’Is it the twins?’ I thought and took off one of my cleaning gloves.
I went to the intercom to check who it was and as I suspected it was the twins. Well, just one of them.
I opened the door.
"Seojun, what are you doing here?"
"It’s Sunday, Hyung." He said with his teeth on full display as he smiled from ear to ear. "Don’t you want to play Sunday games?"
Ah, Sunday games. There were games we played on Sundays when I went to visit the twins, back in the days.
They didn’t go out often. In fact, they didn’t go out at all. And as much as the days all looked the same to them, Sundays were no exception.
That is, before I started hanging out with them.
"Balloon blaster, obstacle courses and hide and seek. Let’s play these games every Sunday, okay?" I once said with a bright smile. "That way, even a boring Sunday can be fun."
But those games... Those were kids’ games. There was no way we could play those right now in our current age.
I looked at Seojun’s expectant eyes. He looked like he was looking forward to it.
"Sorry, Seojun but I can’t play right now." I said. "It’s the only time I have to clean because I’m busy all week, you know."
"Don’t you have the cleaner to clean up for you?" He asked but I shook my head. There was no way I would hire a cleaner when I could clean up with my own two hands!
"I like cleaning up after myself so I’m doing it myself." I said. "And by the time I’m done, it’ll probably be time for the shoot so, sorry."
Seojun was silent. I thought he would look disappointed but instead, he looked happy.
"Then, Hyung, what about next Sunday?" He asked and I gulped. "We might get a free schedule next Sunday so why not play Sunday games then?"
"Well, that’s good but... We can’t play Sunday games." I said.
"Why not?"
"Because it’s a kids’ game now." I answered, hoping it did not hurt his feelings since he was looking forward to it so much. But surprisingly, he laughed.
"Hyung, you’re funny." He said and suddenly reached out his hand to stroke my head. "We both know Sunday games aren’t limited to only children’s games."
"Then?"
His smile appeared like a grin and he said,
"We can play other games, Hyung. Games that adults play. How’s that?"
Why did that sound rather ominous? It was like I was falling into a trap of some sort.
"If we get to play games that adults play, it’ll be okay, right?"
"Well, I guess so." I said and his grin widened.
"Haha, you promise, right, Hyung? No takebacks." He brought out his pinky and once again, I felt like I was falling into a trap.
But, oh well, what could they do? It’s not like they could harm me.
I raised my pinky and crossed with his.
"I promise. I’ll play games with you guys next Sunday."
Wait, what did I just do?
For the sake of reliving old times, I decided to play Sunday games with them. But wasn’t this what I was trying to avoid?
’Dongwoo, you stupid, stupid, stupid little child. What have you done?’
I dragged my hair in frustration. I only end up regretting it after making decisions like that. Like I had been hypnotized during the moment.
Well, yeah, their faces are enough to hypnotize a hypo. Dammit, now I have a promise on my neck.
I’ll have no choice but to go over to their apartment next Sunday.
It’s only a few steps away from mine but... Ugh, what have I done?
I looked at Lily licking her fur at the side. In any case, a promise is a promise.
The shoot that day had something to do with water so the twins were going to get wet.
Thankfully, it was the middle of spring so they wouldn’t get too cold but for fear that they could catch a cold right after, hot towels were on standby.
"Jeez, what happened to your face?" Taiha asked and I looked up from what I was doing.
"Ah," I touched the faint scratch on my cheek and smiled awkwardly. "My cat got mad."
Yeah, when bathing Lily, she decided she was going to hunt for my neck. Luckily, I was superior.
Who doesn’t like a clean body? Lily just liked to live in a world of her own. The cat’s world. Haha.
"You should get it covered, at least. It may look small but it could get inflamed." Taiha said, hitting his shoulder with the folded magazine in his hand.
"Oh, I have a bandage kit. Want me to help?" Doha asked, springing up out of nowhere.
"Much appreciated." I said.
The crew members couldn’t stop talking about how professional Seojun and Seojin were on set. It was like they were real professionals.
They just finished Uni not too long ago, and though they didn’t talk about what they were up to in Italy before coming here, there was no way one could just assume they were models in training.
Besides, it was almost impossible for a modeling agency to simply give up the models they were training just like that. It was unheard of. Not to talk of models like Seojin and Seojun. Faces like theirs were practically gold. Who would give them up?
And thanks to that, I was certain the twins had nothing to do with the entertainment industry before coming to Korea, but why... Why were they so good at it? It was suspicious.
’Nah, they’re probably just made perfect. Handsome people are always born different.’ I told myself.
