Chapter 266: First off, he wasn’t fragile
Dongwoo waited for the twins outside the door. His hands were trembling.
In fact, he didn’t know he could speak that way and to someone so high up in the industry too.
What gave him the courage and boldness?
Was it just because he was angry? Or was it because the twins were there beside him and he felt so confident because of that?
Wait, they weren’t starting to influence him, right?
The twins walked out and he turned to them.
"You didn’t hit him, did you?" He asked and they shook their heads. But Dongwoo couldn’t believe it. "Hands!" He demanded and they both stretched out their hands.
He checked the back of their palms and luckily, they weren’t red. Meaning they didn’t punch anyone.
He sighed with relief.
He had already gone to talk disrespectfully to Haejoo, it would be bad if they went ahead to hit him as well. But he would’ve definitely deserved it.
But if they did, Haejoo may get mad and not release the official statement in a week’s time.
Yeah, that was his concern.
Their accounts were managed by the company, and any posts, including their daily posts, were being done by the company as well, under the supervision of the CEO directly.
So they couldn’t post the statement on their own either or hint to fans that they weren’t in a relationship and it was just a collaboration deal bringing them together like that.
It was just one statement. One stupid statement and Geum Haejoo wouldn’t do it. He was thinking about the profit alone, that guy.
Why was he so different from Geumtae?
Well, they all had their own personalities, he supposed.
Just as Geumtae and Jaeho had different personalities, Haejoo was bound to have a different personality. But he was sort of the jerky sibling among them.
He was nasty, prying into other people’s relationships.
His remarks actually vexed Dongwoo, especially the part where he called him fragile, implying that Seojun shoving his rod inside him was disgusting.
First off, he wasn’t fragile. (That was what he liked to believe)
If he were fragile, he wouldn’t be able to handle them in the first place.
And second of all, was he homophobic?
Well, he couldn’t say for sure because he literally encouraged the twins to come to look for him in the future, knowing the feelings they had for him were far beyond brotherly affection.
Then, what was his deal?
He seemed scared of the twins though, but that did not stop him from setting provocations for them to fall into.
"Hyung, you slayed it in there." Seojin said, and Dongwoo raised his head to look at him, breaking away from his thoughts.
"What do you mean?" He asked.
"You spoke so confidently about us and our relationship," Seojun answered, dropping his hand on his head and ruffling his hair. "It made us feel so special and happy."
Hearing that, Dongwoo blushed. Well, it wasn’t like he planned it or anything. But he was glad he was able to speak up for them.
They were the ones contributing to their relationship more so by doing this; he felt he had done something that would make them all happy, aside from offering his body, ahem!
In the elevator, Dongwoo asked,
"So, with the CEO, did he not ask for anything in return for giving you modeling lessons?"
The twins paused for a moment and then awkwardly started clearly their throats.
"Why do you want to know that, Hyung?" Seojin asked.
"Well, I find it strange that someone like that would suddenly want to help you for free." Dongwoo said. "There was a rumor I found recently and," he darted his eyes feeling guilty, "It was about the CEO and your mother."
"Oh, they were entangled in the past before we were born." Seojun casually explained and Dongwoo’s eyes widened.
"Ah, so it’s true!"
"Yeah," Seojin answered.
"Then, did the reason why he was helping you guys because he wanted to get your mother’s attention?" Dongwoo asked and they nodded.
"Um, Hyung, it’s uncomfortable when you keep saying the word ’your mother’." Seojun said.
"Oh, sorry. I was insensitive!" Dongwoo said, realizing they were not cozy with their mother being their mother.
"You can just call her Allegra."
"By her name? I can’t do that." Dongwoo said. "I’ll just call her Miss Allegra instead."
"Much better." Seojun said. "We won’t stop you if you want to know about our lives and how we lived at the Barone estate, but let’s be a little subtle and discreet about it, as they are memories we aren’t actually fond of."
Dongwoo nodded, understandably.
"Alright." He said. "So, what was the catch?"
"It’s a bit inappropriate." Seojin answered, covering his mouth, and looked away. "We were young boys, and we hated that woman, so we didn’t care what happened to her."
Dongwoo was lost. What could they have possibly done?
The elevator door opened and other people had to enter with them. They stole glances at the twins since they were rather famous, and the ladies blushed.
If they could post about it, then they obviously would, but it was against company policy, so they could only gush over them.
This brought about an awkward air between the three of them. Dongwoo was in between them, so he could feel the subtle and stolen glances from the people in front of them quite well, and trust me, it wasn’t exactly comfortable.
Because of more people entering the elevator, their conversation was brought to a halt.
But that did not really stop them, and even though the elevator was crowded, Seojun leaned in to whisper in Dongwoo’s ear.
"The price we were willing to pay was no more than setting them up to have a blissful night every once in a while without our grandfather knowing it. And in some cases, we had to drug her for that to happen." Dongwoo’s eyes widened. They went that far? "But it wasn’t like she was against it since she did it in the past and had feelings for him too. We were just the wingmen who were doing whatever it took to get what we wanted."
He stood back and Dongwoo looked at them, shocked.
How old were they when they started doing such a thing?
And what in the world was that stupid CEO thinking, putting kids to such a task? He corrupted their innocence. Their innocence.
The elevator stopped and opened, allowing the people who were inside to leave and two persons entered, resuming their journey to their studio floor.
"Oh dear, you look shocked, Hyung." Seojin muttered. "I hope you’re not disappointed in us because that would be really sad."
"No, no." Dongwoo answered. "Of course not." He said. "I could never be disappointed in you."
"That’s good to hear." Seojun smiled and Seojin smiled as well.
"But I am disappointed in Geum Haejoo. He was absolutely crazy when he optioned that you do his dirty bidding." Dongwoo flared, and the two people in front of them cleared their throats, intending to remind him that they weren’t the only ones in the elevator. "Sorry." He smiled awkwardly and then bit his lips.
"Hyung, shall we take this conversation somewhere else?"
