Chapter 255: Who did you expect?

Chapter 255: Who did you expect?

Dongwoo woke up the next morning in Seojun’s arms. He raised his head and looked towards the other side but did not find Seojin.

’What time is it?’ he wondered but did not move an inch and rested his head back on Seojun’s chest.

The curtains weren’t raised so Seojin probably wanted them to sleep more instead of waking them up.

It was Sunday so they could sleep in. Except, they planned to go to the gym so they weren’t going to sleep in too late.

’I feel so lazy.’ Dongwoo thought, closing his eyes to get a little more sleep.

But it was impossible at that point, so he got up, out of Seojun’s arms and sighed.

’Need to pee.’

But strangely, he did not go straight to the bathroom. Maybe he was just curious about where Seojin was, so he went to look for him before finally going to use the toilet.

He opened the door silently and walked out.

He heard Seojin’s muffled voice from the balcony and went towards there, only to find him on the phone.

He looked angry and serious, talking to whoever was on the phone with him.

The way his eyebrows furrowed and his lips twitched was something Dongwoo had never experienced. He has never seen him so irritated and angry before.

Who was he on the phone with?

"Bastardo!" Seojin cussed in Spanish and Dongwoo flinched. What was that about?

He had a feeling he shouldn’t be there and listened to that conversation. If Seojin found him there, things might just get awkward.

He took steps back and once again, he heard Seojin cuss out harshly and even kicked the wall of the balcony.

"You had one job to do, you bastard. Just one job. How could you mess even that up?" He asked. "I swear, if things go wrong here, I’m going to cut off that cock of yours that you’re so proud of!"

Dongwoo covered his mouth, stunned.

What in the...? This was definitely not expected.

He thought Seojun would be the one cussing out like this, but Seojin? And he seemed to be very used to that kind of speaking tone and attitude.

Then, had he been pretending the whole time?

They did say they weren’t nice people and only put up a fake smile in front of others just so they wouldn’t be hated.

Their true selves and personality were ugly, they had said.

But... He did not expect it to be like this at all. He thought they were simply saying that for saying sake. So, it was true?

His heartbeat accelerated for a while as he was too confusd and having trouble processing what was in front of him.

It made him feel like he didn’t actually know the person he was together with. Were they both like that? Seojun included?

He needed a moment to think.

From the corner of Seojin’s eye, he seemed to have caught a glimpse of Dongwoo. He turned but did not find anyone there.

’Was it just my imagination?’ he wondered and turned to face the distance. "You better fix this." He said, more calmly than before. "I’ll be there today. I need to see the situation for myself." He cut the call and turned to check properly.

It couldn’t have been just his imagination. He walked there, only to find Seojun standing next to the kitchen table, drinking water.

"Oh, it was just you." He said.

"Who did you expect?" Seojun asked, placing the glass down. "By the way, you should really tone down your temper when you’re on the phone. You don’t want to scare Hyung, do you?"

"Aish, I didn’t want to get angry either but that bastard messed it all up." Seojin said, brushing his fingers through his hair. The irritation showed in his eyes. "Anyway, I’ll have to check it out in person. If it’s very bad then our happiness as we know it will be at stake. We just might need to rethink our future plans in order to stay safely together with Hyung."

He said and walked off to his room.

Seojun watched him till he was gone and then sighed.

He squatted down and said,

"Please don’t take it the wrong way, Hyung." He said, and Dongwoo, who hid underneath the table looked at him with a confused look in his eyes.

Just as Seojin felt Dongwoo might’ve been there and turned, Dongwoo moved over to the cabinet area to hide but bumped into Seojun, who had just gotten out of bed.

"What...?" Dongwoo immediately covered his mouth with one hand, placing his index finger of his second hand over his lips to shush him, and mouthed,

’Hide me.’

Seojun didn’t know why Dongwoo wanted him to suddenly hide him like he was running for his life but he complied right away, tucking him under the table.

Seojun finally understood why Dongwoo wanted to hide and not get caught.

He heard Seojin speak when he was extremely pissed off.

"Is something bad going to happen?" Dongwoo asked.

He was no longer concerned about how different Seojin sounded on the phone but the fact that he said their happiness was at stake was what grabbed his full attention.

Seojun helped him out and sat him on top of the table.

"Hyung, you don’t have to worry about anything. We’ll fix it." Seojun said, brushing his hair lightly.

"I want to know what’s going on. Can’t I?" Dongwoo asked, looking desperately confused.

He couldn’t be in the dark when there was such a huge secret.

"Is it something that could harm you? Is it something that could harm Seojin or either of us?" He asked, taking Seojun’s hand. "Tell me, is our relationship at risk?"

Seojun went silent. How was he going to explain this to Dongwoo in the simplest way? In a way that Dongwoo would understand and not have to worry.

"Hyung," he called and kissed Dongwoo’s hand. "Let’s change your bandages."

"Don’t change the topic, Seojun."

"I’m not trying to change the topic." Seojun said. "I’ll tell you but I’ll do it when changing your bandage. It’s a nice source of distraction." He smiled sweetly.

Dongwoo still wasn’t convinced.

For all he knew, he just wanted to change the topic and not explain what he had heard.

"You promise you’ll explain it to me?" Dongwoo asked and he nodded.

"Yes. So, let’s do that when I change your bandage." Dongwoo nodded.

"Alright, I’ll trust you this time."

Seojin walked out of his room and found Dongwoo sitting on the table.

"Ah, Hyung, you’re awake." He said in a sweet time and kissed his cheek. "How was your night?"

He was smiling like nothing was wrong when he was fuming heavily just a few minutes ago.

He was such a good actor. If he hadn’t seen it for himself, he wouldn’t have known he had been so pissed earlier.

’Wait, how long has this been going on?’ Dongwoo wondered.

Seeing how Seojin was acting like everything was fine with no suspicious behavior whatsoever, it made him wonder if he had been mad like that in the past but he just never noticed it because Seojin had acted so well.

’Ah, how insensitive have I been all along?’ he wondered, placing his hand on his head.

"Hyung, what would you like to eat for breakfast?" Seojin asked. "Let me cook while you take a bath," he said, putting on his apron and picking up a spoon. "So, what will it be?"

But to his surprise, Dongwoo hugged him.

Dongwoo hugged him right, shutting his eyes for a while and a confused Seojin wondered why he was acting like that all of a sudden.

"What’s wrong, Hyung? Did you have a bad dream?" Seojin asked, brushing his hair back.

Dongwoo looked up at him and said,

"No, and I hope I don’t." He said and buried his head in his chest. "I don’t want to have any bad dreams. None."
