Chapter 253: Well, it might be my simple and lacking judgement
Dongwoo palmed his face while Seojin laughed.
"That’s ridiculous, Matteo." Seojin said.
"Stay out of it. I’m just being repentant." Seojun shamelessly said.
’Ah, this is what I get for acting a role that’s not cut out for me.’ Dongwoo thought and then the elevator door dinged, indicating they had gotten to their floor.
Dongwoo quickly got out of Seojin’s arms and hurried to his door.
They followed after him.
"Don’t follow me." He said, but they were deaf to his words. "I need a little ’me’ time right now."
"We have enough space for you to have your ’me’ time, Hyung." Seojin said, smiling gleefully. "Don’t shut us out. It’ll just make us feel bad."
"I don’t want to either but you two give me no choice." Dongwoo said and got to his door but before he could put in his passcode, Seojin placed his hand on his and asked,
"Do you really not want to see us that badly?" He asked with a sorry look in his eyes. "Or do you just don’t want to see me? You’re still mad at me, aren’t you?"
’Oh, Christ. And I worked so hard to make him feel less guilty.’ Dongwoo thought and sighed.
He would probably think Dongwoo was trying to avoid him because he was still mad that he let Song Haijin kiss his neck but he wasn’t mad. And he wasn’t even trying to avoid them.
He just... Wanted to be alone for a while.
"Fine." Dongwoo said and turned, took a few more steps, and arrived at their front door. "I’ll have my ’me’ time here so open up."
This made them feel better and they gleefully watched Dongwoo open the door.
"I don’t know if it’s because you’re twin brothers but," Dongwoo began, watching them as they took off their shoes at the front door. "...when I do one thing to this person," he pointed at Seojin, "...the other wants me to do the same." He pointed at Seojun. "And vice versa."
"It’s probably because we’re twins." They both chorused and Dongwoo twisted his lips.
There they go again.
"In that case, I guess jealousy shouldn’t be new to you guys." He said, and Seojun paused.
"What do you mean, Hyung?" Seojin asked.
"Well, it’s exactly what I said. You guys get jealous of each other, don’t you?"
"Well, I can’t say no but it’s not often we get jealous of each other." Seojin answered. "Mostly because we share everything."
"Yeah, and yet Seojun hasn’t said anything since I mentioned the topic." Dongwoo said, his eyes fixed on Seojun.
Seojin turned to look at his brother who was silent.
"Well, it might just be my own simple and lacking judgment since that’s how the world works." Dongwoo said. "I mean, I get jealous of a lot of things and a lot of people too. So it’s not something to be ashamed of, even if you get jealous of each other. It’s what makes us humans. And besides, a little jealousy wouldn’t exactly hurt anyone." He smiled and decided to head in and change his clothes when Seojun spoke up,
"You really think so, Hyung?" He asked and Dongwoo turned to him. "Even if I get jealous, you won’t see it as me being evil-minded and greedy?"
Dongwoo was a bit unsure if he was getting it right, so he shifted his gaze to Seojin, who was equally confused.
"Matteo," Seojin called. "...is there something you want to say to us?"
Seojun looked dead into Dongwoo’s eyes and Dongwoo read a lot of things from his eyes.
He was ashamed and afraid too. He asked even unsure if to explain the feelings he had towards that topic.
He was confused.
"Wait, no, let’s not escalate this." Dongwoo said. "And like I said, a little jealousy wouldn’t hurt anyone." He wanted to end the topic there and just walk away but Seojun called,
"Hyung, I do get jealous and I hope my jealousy doesn’t hurt anyone." He said, his gaze traveling to Seojin.
That definitely meant something.
"But I don’t understand." Dongwoo said. "Just what..." His voice volume lowered to a whisper. "...what could you be jealous about?"
Yeah, it was confusing.
They practically did everything together. They both spent a lot of time with Dongwoo and he even had the record of spending more time with Dongwoo than Seojin.
If anything, Seojin should be the one expressing the fact that he felt jealous. So, why was it Seojun?
It wasn’t something humans could understand just because they wanted to.
The human heart was complex and the more feelings one had, the more complex it became and the more uncertain feelings arose too.
"Hyung," Seojun called and Dongwoo looked up to find Seojun standing in front of him. "It’s not that I want you to myself. It’s not that I want Seojin out of the picture. I swear it’s nothing like that." He said.
"Then...?" Dongwoo choked back on his question, letting Seojun finish what he had to say.
Seojun took Dongwoo’s hand, stared at the bandage, and then kissed it.
"...I simply crave Hyung’s attention way too much that it’s clouding my judgment." He said.
Seojin shook his head, walked up to Seojin, and pushed his shoulder, making him turn to him.
"Hey, I understand how you feel." He said but it looked like he was trying to start a fight rather than actually console Seojun. "But don’t turn this into a competition. We both know we don’t take competitions lightly and nothing good will come from trying to compete. Nothing."
He made sure it sank into Seojun’s head.
Sometimes, his brother was a bit too reckless and when that happened, when he let his reckless side get the better of him, what he needed was a good smacking in the face.
And if that happened, a fight would definitely ensue and that fight was something Dongwoo would definitely not want.
"I understand." Seojun said and then turned to Dongwoo. "Hyung," he stretched out his hand. "Would you please bite me now?"
Dongwoo, who was still trying to understand what was going on, looked into Seojun’s eyes.
His grey eyes were practically pleading with him to give him the same treatment he gave Seojin.
"I get it now." Dongwoo said and stretched his hand out to wrap around his neck. "Hang in there. This might hurt."
As long as he did the same thing to both of them, there would be no need to worry about one being jealous, right?
Would he be able to handle it? Handle giving the same treatment to both guys?
Well, he would have to try.
What he wanted more than anything was for them to live in complete harmony. If they fought, it would break his heart.
Dongwoo kissed Seojun’s lips and then dropped his lips on his neck, biting him.
He was the one doing the biting, but it stung, knowing he might be hurting him.
