Chapter 251: Who cares?

Minwoo stared at Dongwoo, surprised.

Dongwoo, on the other hand, was feeling a bit uncomfortable, coming to the end of his story.

He never thought he would tell anyone a story that had to do with his ex. He never did it in the past and had no plans of doing it.

It was probably because he didn’t have anyone close enough to talk to. No friends, no relatives. No one.

He was lonely and so he kept it all in his heart.

But even after the twins came into his life, he had no thought of telling them stories concerning his exes.

It bothered him quite a lot.

He felt uncomfortable about telling his current lovers how his past lovers had treated him. Though they already knew roughly how they treated him, they didn’t know the full context, and he wasn’t planning on going into details either.

"Hyung," Minwoo called and Dongwoo looked up.

He was glad, honestly, to be able to get it off his chest for the first time.

"As I said, you’re very strong." Minwoo suddenly said.

"Huh? What are you talking about?"

"You’re just so strong, that’s all." He smiled brightly.

Dongwoo didn’t know where he was going with that statement but he bowed his head, reflecting on it.

Strong, huh?

He believed he was a very weak person compared to the average man but when he looked back at all he had passed through and how he was still going on even after all that, he came to believe that remark.

He had been so strong, even if it wasn’t for himself.

"Oh, look at the time." Minwoo snapped as he caught a glimpse of the time in the wall clock. "We’ve been here for a while. The crew should be done clearing up the stage."

He got up and Dongwoo got up as well.

Minwoo took Dongwoo’s hands and kissed the bandage wrapped around them.

"Hyung, don’t worry." He said and looked up at him, smiling brightly and genuinely. "I’ll protect you."

"I’m thankful but you shouldn’t say that and do such a thing at the same time. It’s very misleading." Dongwoo said, taking his hand back but Minwoo brushed it off.

"Who cares?" He asked. "If anyone has a problem with it, I’ll just smack them in the head."

"Oh, really?" Dongwoo asked with a raised eyebrow and a knowing smile. "Want to say that again while I’m in front of the twins?" He asked and Minwoo flinched.

"I...I’m not scared of them." He said, folding his arms and putting on airs.

"Hm, is that so?"

"B-but, don’t tell them I said that." Minwoo said and Dongwoo laughed.

"Don’t worry. I won’t."

Minwoo wasn’t exactly scared of the twins but he couldn’t say he was scared of them either. It was kind of in between.

They were threatening even while they smiled and since their intentions were unclear, he didn’t know if they would one day plan to kidnap him and beat him up in a dark alley.

They gave him that kind of vibe and even though it wasn’t confirmed that they were capable of doing such a thing, he honestly didn’t want to test it out either.

They both walked out, laughing as Minwoo made gestures like a ninja.

Doha saw them and approached,

"Dongwoo Oppa, how are you feeling?" She asked and Dongwoo looked towards her. "You know, you really had us worried." She said, her face flushing a bit. "You... You suddenly started bleeding and... And..."

Dongwoo dropped his hand on her head and smiled heartily.

"Do I look like I’m not alright?" He asked and stroked her hair. "So, don’t worry about me anymore."

"How..." Her face flushed more. "How could I... I mean, how could we not worry when such a thing suddenly happened to you?"

Minwoo watched Doha who was practically blushing as Dongwoo patted her head. Wait, it wasn’t what he was thinking, right?

Why was the fierce and overly energetic Doha suddenly blushing like a teen girl who just had her first crush?

"Ah, Dongwoo Hyung," Dooshik also approached, and accompanying him was Jaeho. "Are you okay?"

"Yes, I’m okay." Dongwoo answered, taking his hand off Doha’s head.

"Man, you gave us all quite a scare." He said, "We thought something bad had happened for your hands to start bleeding all of a sudden. You even dropped your camera." Dongwoo bowed his head and apologized.

"Sorry for causing so much trouble." He apologized but it only got Dooshik panicked.

"No, no. Don’t bow your head. It was nothing." He said, and Doha elbowed his belly. "Ow!" He crouched down. "What was that for?"

’Having a big mouth. What else?’ Doha thought and turned to smile at Dongwoo. "Don’t mind his words, Oppa. You didn’t cause anyone any trouble." She smiled.

"Boss," Jaeho called. "I’ll be clocking out now." He said. "And I’ll be taking Eunwoo with me." He said, and Dongwoo immediately understood the assignment.

He nodded.

"Oh, yes. I’ll keep in touch. Please let me know if there’s any ’development’." He said, and Jaeho nodded before going off to find Eunwoo.

"I’ll also get going, Hyung." Minwoo said, pointing at his back with his thumb. "I need to clear my desk before clocking out."

"Yeah, you go." Dongwoo smiled. "And... I’m glad I got to speak up."

Minwoo, glad that he made Dongwoo feel better, smiled and said,

"Sure thing, Hyung. You can always rely on me."

People dispersed and Dongwoo waited there, in front of his door, kicking his feet and waiting for when the twins were ready to leave.

He would probably have to talk to Seojin and assure him that he wasn’t mad but he didn’t really know how he would do it.

After all that happened, he would have to be really sincere if he was going to convince him and make him feel less guilty.

The twins were quick to feel guilty each time he got hurt, even for the littlest thing, and it worried him for some reason.

"Hyung," he heard Seojin’s voice and looked up to find Seojun walking towards him and Seojin trailing slowly from behind with his head down.

Of course, he was feeling guilty.

"Shall we head out?" Dongwoo asked, managing to display a subtle smile and Seojun nodded.
