Chapter 233: But it’s the truth
Chapter 233: But it’s the truth
"I understand what you’re trying to say. Did it feel good, then?" Seojun asked but Dongwoo tilted his head, lost.
"Did what felt good?"
Seojun stared at him for a while and then patted his head, smiling at him.
He did not say anything after that and turned off the microwave.
"I think it’s ready." He said, and Dongwoo stared at him, wondering what he was talking about.
But it looked like it wasn’t a serious matter since he let it go so easily.
"Come, Hyung." Seojun said carrying the food out with pink mitten kitchen gloves. "I believe they say it tastes better when it’s hot."
"Yeah, it does." He followed after him, smiling. "How well do you do with spicy food, Seojun?"
"I’m terrible at handling it." He answered and Dongwoo laughed. "You’re both wimps when it comes to food." He showed his flat muscles. "It seems I’m the food champion here."
"Yes, yes. The foodie of the house award goes to you." He said, and Dongwoo’s eyebrows furrowed.
"Hey, don’t say it like that. You’re practically calling me a glutton." He folded his arms but Seojun laughed as it felt comical.
"Then what do you want me to say?" He asked. "The only word that fits is foodie."
"Anything besides that," Dongwoo yelled.
Seojin walked out of his room, yawning.
He had sweatpants on but his upper body was barely, just like Seojun. With one hand on his neck and the other on his abs, he asked,
"What’s going on here?"
Dongwoo turned his attention to him.
"Ah, Seojin, you’re up." He went to him. "Thank you for the tteokbokki." He said, smiling brightly.
"No problem, Hyung." Seojin said, smiling back as he patted his head.
"Oh and, can you tell Seojun not to call me a foodie?" He asked, pointing at Seojun who was placing the tteokbokki down on the kitchen table.
"Hm? Then what should we call you then?" Seojin asked and Dongwoo’s mouth fell in disbelief.
They were both calling him a foodie when they were the ones who stuffed him full even if he didn’t ask for it.
"Just look at these cheeks." Seojin said, dragging his cheeks out. "You’re adding a lot of flesh, Hyung. Though it’s good but if you keep eating like this, you’ll turn into a ping-pong ball."
"Why, you...!"
Dongwoo’s fury was unleashed, and he picked up his slippers to get revenge, but Seojin ran right away while laughing.
"Hyung, you can’t hide the truth!"
"Be quiet you!" He said and went full kung-fu panda on him, throwing his invisible flying kick.
(I wanted to write that he went full Wakanda on him, but I guess that doesn’t fit. Hehe)"
"You too, Seojun, taste my fury! Uwah!" Dongwoo went after Seojun, too, and they all ended up running around the house. "How dare you call me a foodie? You’re going to pay."
"But it’s the truth!" They both chorused, fueling Dongwoo’s fury even more.
"Argh! You’re still saying it!" He yelled. "Take that back right away or I’ll end you. Both of you."
But they could only laugh and watch Dongwoo attack them with resting intervals as his waist and back were not in their best condition.
"Curse you weak body." He muttered.
"Hyung, how about you go with me to the gym this weekend?" Seojun suddenly suggested, appearing behind him to massage his shoulders. "You always said you wanted to build your stamina."
"Hm, that might be a good idea." Dongwoo said, falling for the relaxing back massage he was getting. "What about you, Seojin? Are you coming with us?"
"No, count me out of it!" Seojin strongly refused. He even went as far as crossing his arms. "But when you get back, you can come to me right away and I’ll give you a massage to relax your aching muscles."
"Aching muscles?" Dongwoo had no idea what the after-effects of going to the gym and exercising for the first time were.
Seojin and Seojun weren’t going to tell him either. He would have to experience it himself for him to decide if he wanted to continue exercising or not.
"So, Hyung, shall we also visit a stylist?" Seojin asked with a bright smile. "Your hair’s growing out a lot. Let’s get it trimmed a bit."
They started chatting happily and Seojun watched them.
What he wanted to say earlier when he asked Dongwoo if it felt good was something that would make him out to be jealous.
It would make him seem like he was jealous of his own brother for something so simple and something he could get at any other time.
He closed his eyes.
When Dongwoo asked to take in Seojin’s seeds, he was listening, and he wondered how would it feel if Dongwoo had asked him instead.
How did Seojin feel when he asked him?
It certainly felt great, and he was sure he took him to his room to avoid getting interrupted halfway.
He covered his face. Why was he being jealous of such a simple thing?
It wasn’t like Dongwoo’s affection would fall into one side more than another. He was sure that if Dongwoo was asked to pick one of them, the one he liked most, he wouldn’t make the pick, but of course, a human heart was fickle, and everyone had a little bit of selfishness or the other, so he would wish that Dongwoo would pick him.
"Oh no," Dongwoo exclaimed and Seojun jolted out of his thoughts.
Dongwoo was next to the kitchen table and staring at the Tteokbokki.
"It’s cold again." He said. "I guess it’s going back to the microwave." He picked up the tteokbokki and headed for the microwave but he missed a step. Rather, his leg went limp for a second.
He felt like he was falling, so he reached out to hold the nearest support, and in the process, the tteokbokki spilled from the plate and spilled on his feet.
"Ah," he exclaimed shocked.
"Hyung, are you alright?" They both rushed to him and he smiled nervously.
"Yeah. Thankfully it has given cold. But..." He looked down at it. "It’s gone to waste now."
"That doesn’t matter. What matters is that you didn’t get hurt." Seojin said and Dongwoo smiled, stroking his face.
"Yeah, I guess you’re right." He turned to Seojun taking the plate from him. "Thank you."
"Let’s leave it. We’ll eat out today." Seojun suggested.
"Yeah, it’s been a while since we ate out." Seojin added.
But Dongwoo did not look so bright about it. He looked at the spilled tteokbokki.
"What’s wrong, Hyung?" Seojin asked.
"It’s just... Seojin got it for me, so... It’s a shame it’s gone to waste." He sighed. "Well, I guess there’s no use crying over spilled milk." He laughed. "I’ll go wash my legs right away."
