The twins, though stunned and confused about why Dongwoo would want to be in that guy’s arms for a whole two minutes, decided to just listen to him and remain patient.

They would watch and make sure he didn’t try anything funny or go beyond a simple hug.

They aren’t satisfied with it and would give Dongwoo an earful later but for now, they would listen.

Geumtae, sincerely hoping for a hug, didn’t think Dongwoo would give him the privilege of two more minutes. And he was even more surprised knowing the twins listened to him so well.

’Sweetie has so much power over two Alpha males.’ he thought. ’It only goes to show how much they love and respect him. Hah, I don’t need to worry then. As long as he’s in good hands.’

Though they were annoyingly good-looking and were quite possessive, if they listened to him even in a situation like this, then they were definitely the right ones for him.

Dongwoo felt conscious of the twin’s stare. He could feel them boring their eyes into Geumtae’s skull. They were angry but they were being patient.

The hug was all about comforting Geumtae and helping him let go of his feelings.

"Alright, two minutes are over." Seojin announced and Geumtae chuckled.

"I guess so." He said but didn’t want to let go, so Seojun put it upon him to separate them. But before he did, Geumtae whispered a few words to Dongwoo which made him flush lightly.

"Hey, don’t whisper weird things in Hyung’s ear." Seojin said and before Seojun touched him, he took his arms off.

They both gave him threatening glares while shielding Dongwoo away from him.

"Haha, feisty mutts. He’s all yours now." He said and smiled softly. "But, if you hurt him and make him cry, I definitely won’t let you off. I have a dozen ways to discipline mutts like you."

"The fuck!" Seojun glared at him. Was that a declaration of war or something?

"Don’t take it wrong." He shrugged his shoulders in a carefree manner. "I just mean you two should keep treating him right, that’s all."

"We don’t need you to tell us that." Seojin said and led Dongwoo out.

Geumtae waved and said,

"Don’t forget what I told you, sweetie. It’s the best." Hearing that, Dongwoo blushed.

"What did he tell you, Hyung?" Seojin asked. "Is it something weird?"

Dongwoo shook his head. He wasn’t going to tell them. First, he would have to think it through.

"Hyung?"

"Let’s... Let’s just go." He said, grabbing their arms. "And... I’m sorry." He apologized.

They went silent for a while.

They couldn’t say they didn’t care and seem unaffected. In fact, it took every muscle in their bodies to stop their feet and fists from moving and acting out of place.

One more provocation and maybe they just might find themselves in the police station with charges of assault.

But they worked hard. Dongwoo didn’t like it when they, Seojun, to be exact, threw his fists at every provocation and anger.

And for that, they would try to be patient.

But the thought of Geumtae having his filthy arms around Dongwoo made them so angry that they could’ve destroyed his shop.

But they didn’t do that, which showed they had matured a bit in that regard.

"It was all his doing." Seojun said. "If he didn’t act all pitiful, Hyung wouldn’t have felt pity and allowed him to hug you so it’s not your fault."

"That’s why I said you care too much, Hyung." Seojin added. "You felt pity for him. What if he was faking it?"

Dongwoo went silent. He already figured that they wouldn’t blame him but to the extent where they were putting it all on Geumtae?

He laughed. They were so cute, honestly.

"What’s funny, Hyung?" They both asked, but he shook his head and said,

"It’s nothing. And don’t worry, he wasn’t faking it."

They stopped walking at the sideline where Seojin parked their car

"How can you be sure?" Seojun asked, ready to paint Geumtae as the bad guy completely.

Dongwoo shook his head and said,

"I don’t want to think of it as that. He might’ve had other intentions, but I wanted to believe him as a friend. Please, just leave it at that." He said and they nodded.

Then, Seojun started sniffing him and made a disgusted face.

"Ugh, Hyung, you’ll need a change of clothes and maybe a bath as well." He said.

"Why?" Dongwoo sniffed himself. "Do I smell?"

"Yes!" They both chorused seriously.

’Ah, it’s probably the perfume.’ he thought and then chuckled. "Alright, once we get back, I’ll take a bath."

They got in the car and Seojin drove off.

A few minutes into the drive, Dongwoo came to realize he was missing something.

"Oh no, I forgot to take Lily from Geumtae." He said, and the twins, who very much noticed but didn’t say anything just so they could leave the car behind, averted their eyes, each looking to the side.

"Just leave it, Hyung. I believe it’s in good hands." Seojin said.

"Yeah, it’ll be better off with that bast- that guy." He changed his tone last minute.

"But I have to bring her home with me. I can’t inconvenience Geumtae any further."

"Hyung, you said he was your friend, right? I believe he can do this much for his friend." Seojin reasoned. "And also, we’re going to be very busy with work so just leave it with him for the time being and get him back once our schedule looks a bit clear."

The twins were doing all they could to convince Dongwoo not to take Lily back. For crying out loud, they did not want to share any more of Dongwoo’s affection with it.

In the meantime, at least, let that car be out of their sight.

Then, Dongwoo got a text from Geumtae almost immediately. It said,

"I’ll hold on to Lily in the meantime, Mr Big Shot. I need someone to keep me company at home now that my heart’s been broken."

He sent a broken heart sticker right after and another message underneath,

"Plus, you can always come to visit her at the vet (⁠＾⁠3⁠＾)"

Dongwoo sighed. He made it so obvious that he wanted Dongwoo to come visit him from time to time. Dongwoo hoped he wasn’t planning anything though.

The twins were patient now but who knew how long it would last?

Well, if he wanted to take care of him willingly then he was fine with it.

He sent a reply.

"Alright and thank you."

Then, he looked up and said,

"Alright, I’ll leave Lily with him for the time being." He said and the twins celebrated at heart. They were this close trading Lily for fifty pieces of silver (If you know, you know)

"That’s great, Hyung. Now you can focus on us, I mean, work."

Yeah, they weren’t trying to hide their excitement at all.

Then, Dongwoo got another text from Geumtae.

"I’ll send you a little present. You can use it to give those mutts of yours the surprise of their life. You can thank me later after the results are in. Hehe."
