Chapter 166: Don’t flutter your eyelashes at him. He’s only going to get more shameless
As soon as they got down from the car, bare-faced, the reporters and fans immediately sighted them.
So, while they took out the luggage from the trunk, the reporters used this opportunity to attack them.
Dongwoo stared in horror at the crowd approaching them fiercely with cameras, phones, and recording devices, hoping to get a statement about their fame and maybe get their autograph in the process.
’Shit, how did they know we’d be here?’ Seojun thought inwardly but kept a smile outside. An anxious smile.
He briefly glanced at Seojin, who was doing the same and returned his gaze to the reporters. What to do at this point?
They couldn’t just push through roughly.
Then, he felt Dongwoo clutch onto his coat behind him and he glanced back, only to find him turning pale.
His eyes widened.
"Hyung, are you okay?" He asked, and Dongwoo slowly raised his head. He nodded, forcing out a smile but it was clear that he wasn’t alright. ’Dammit! I can’t take this. Hyung might end up fainting at this point.’
Then, a group of guards approached and gently paved a way through the reporters for them to pass through.
Seojun didn’t know where the guard came from but he decided to take this chance and held Dongwoo’s hand to walk past. But as soon as he did, Dongwoo slipped his hand out of his grasp and said,
"Don’t do that, Seojun. You... You’ll only start a rumor."
’To hell with rumors. You’re not okay.’ he wished he could blurt out those words but he felt like he already knew Dongwoo’s response to that.
He would insist he was fine.
’Fuck!’ he cussed in his thoughts and let Dongwoo walk as he insisted but kept his eyes on him.
"I have a better idea." Seojin suddenly said and both turned to him, only for him to grab Dongwoo by the hand and sweep him off his feet, shocking them both. And then, he yelled, "It’s an emergency. He needs treatment right away."
So, even if he got caught on camera, they couldn’t make uncertified rumors through it because there were a lot of witnesses who saw exactly what happened.
"Hyung, are you okay?" Seojun asked, handing him a bottle of water.
Dongwoo nodded and accepted it.
They were sitting in the waiting area while the guards arrived to help them stand guard around.
But that aside, the reporters and fans were not allowed into the airport so they could only watch from the farther entrance or go home.
Dongwoo drank a little and then said,
"I’m fine. But more importantly," he glanced at Seojin who was skillfully avoiding eye contact. "Why would you do that in front of everyone? It could backfire." He said, but Seojin was tactical to avoid making a response. "Why won’t you answer?"
"Hyung," Seojun called. "I was just about to make a much worse decision. I’m glad he acted before I did."
"What?" He stared at them in disbelief. Did they not know what was at stake? How could... How could they be so reckless?
There were a lot of cameras and...
"Hyung," Seojin finally spoke. "...what makes you think I would prioritize my career over you?"
That simple question stunned Dongwoo and he felt his heart race. Wait, no. This wasn’t the time to be having a heart-racing moment?
’Don’t flutter your eyelashes at him. He’s only going to get more shameless.’ Dongwoo told himself and looked away. He couldn’t exactly hate on that face. It was too tempting.
"Hyung, I agree I made a mistake and disobeyed you." Seojin said, getting closer at a dangerous range. "Won’t you punish me later?"
Dongwoo’s head exploded.
"P-p-punish you?!" He exclaimed, shocked. Where did that come from?
Then, the rest of the crew finally arrived.
Dongwoo knew they were early, but he didn’t expect the crew to arrive a few minutes before their boarding time.
"Boss, Good Morning." Eunwoo greeted.
He has been awfully steadfast and genuine from the moment he watched Dongwoo hold up his camera. He no longer had that haughty and disbelief gaze when looking at him.
He believed the man behind the camera and agreed that he had as much importance in contributing to making a masterpiece what it was.
"Eunwoo, you’re here." Dongwoo got up to his feet. "And the rest too. Good morning, Sunbae." He greeted Taiha who approached with his mouth wide open in a yawn.
"Kiddo, you’re here already?" He asked and looked over at the twins. "Ah, I wondered why there was a crowd outside. I see why now."
"Dongwoo Oppa!" Doha enthusiastically approached as she greeted them. "Did you have a great night?"
As soon as she mentioned that, Dongwoo subconsciously placed his hand on his neck, rubbing the spot where the hickey was located on his neck.
"Ah, yes." He answered, blushing lightly. "I had a great night."
"Hehe, you’re blushing. Can I interpret this as you had a great dream?" She asked. "So, was it a premonition of the twin’s success? Huh? Huh?"
She was awfully sticky but Dongwoo brushed it off and smiled.
"I hope so."
The twins saw this and Seojin helped in turning Dongwoo around.
"Ah, look at the time. We should start getting in line." He said, pushing Dongwoo forward.
"Huh?" Dongwoo wondered why they were acting like that again.
"Hyung," Seojin whispered. "I really hope I have the strength to keep away my selfish thoughts."
Dongwoo gasped as he blinked in surprise.
His... Selfish thoughts.
Ah, right now? Why did he have to say such a thing?
"Was it... Was it because I smiled?" He subconsciously asked aloud and he smiled at him, giving him their silent response. ’Ah, so that’s how it is.’
He went silent and then stopped walking, stopping Seojin from pushing him any further.
"I understand." He said. "But I can’t always keep a straight face, not when I’m happy."
Seojin looked at him sadly for a moment and then sighed.
"I understand, Hyung. But can you not smile so brightly?" He muttered and Dongwoo chuckled. It was cute.
The rest of the crew arrived and they went towards the boarding site.
But not everyone had arrived. One would know because a very well-known guy was absent.
"Where’s Minwoo?" Dongwoo asked and they all glanced around, wondering if he hadn’t arrived.
He was such a steadfast and serious guy when it came to his work, so to think he was running late. Dongwoo could not help but wonder if something had happened to him on the way.
"Shouldn’t we call him?" Dongwoo muttered but the twins honestly couldn’t care less if Minwoo was absent or not.
Just get him away from their Hyung as far away as possible. Those were the thoughts that dominated their thinking each time they thought about him.
"Oh, I think he’s coming." Someone announced and they all looked back to find Minwoo approaching while rolling his suitcase.
He had his head down and once he got to where they were, Dongwoo called,
"Lee Minwoo? Are you alright?" Dongwoo asked and Minwoo raised his head and smiled.
"Yes, I’m fine." But everyone was shocked to see his face. Rather, they felt instant pity for him.
Noticing the atmosphere, Minwoo guessed they were shocked by his face and adjusted his glasses. He didn’t want their pity.
"Sorry for being late." He said. "I got tied up to some matters. Shall we get going now?"
