Invincible Divine Doctor of the Beautiful Lady
Chapter 19 - 19 19 Misunderstanding

19: Chapter 19 Misunderstanding 19: Chapter 19 Misunderstanding Zhao Xinxin stared blankly at Tangyu, a trace of surprise evident in her eyes, as indeed, just as he had said, this condition had been occurring frequently over the past month or so and had been getting progressively worse.

The main reason was that the company had been extremely busy this past month, and some issues had arisen recently, so she hadn’t taken it to heart, simply thinking she might have some anemia but nothing serious.

Yet looking at Tangyu’s serious face and his tone that brooked no refusal, Zhao Xinxin found herself at a loss for words.

The words on the tip of her tongue were swallowed back down.

Her resilient heart seemed to melt a little at this moment.

For some reason, the embrace felt warm…

“Alright, but could you please let go of me first?” After debating fiercely in her mind, Zhao Xinxin finally nodded her head.

Being held by a man like this made her quite uncomfortable, and if she hadn’t lacked the strength to break free and knew Tangyu had no ill intentions, she would have lost her patience earlier.

“Xinxin—” Just then, the office door suddenly opened, and Wan Xiaoya walked in.

Stepping in and seeing the scene before her, she was instantly stunned, her eyes wide with shock, her mouth opening and closing as if to speak before she swallowed her words and turned to leave.

“Xiaoya, wait, you’ve got it wrong—,” Tangyu quickly explained, glancing at Zhao Xinxin, who now had a few shades of shy red blooming on her face.

Such a situation, regardless of the reason, when seen by someone else, always felt a bit odd.

It was then that Wan Xiaoya stopped in her tracks, a suspicious look on her face as she peered at Tangyu, her gaze falling on Zhao Xinxin and she quickly approached with concern, “Xinxin, what’s wrong with you?”

Just as Zhao Xinxin was about to respond, she was interrupted by Tangyu, “Xiaoya, Xinxin is experiencing a health issue and her condition is not good, I must take her back for treatment immediately.

Xinxin, don’t move or speak; it could cause your blood pressure to fluctuate, and that would complicate things further.”

Zhao Xinxin looked at Tangyu, and for some reason, as she looked at his earnest face and listened to his decidedly masculine tone, she found herself unable to muster any resistance, silently complying.

“Alright, I’ll drive you both back right now,” Wan Xiaoya said.

Tangyu shook his head, “No need, Xiaoya, I can take Xinxin back myself.”

“This—” Wan Xiaoya hesitated, searching Zhao Xinxin’s face for guidance, and Zhao Xinxin nodded, “Xiaoya, there’s a lot to deal with at the company, please take care of it for me.”

“Okay, I’ll help you both downstairs.

Tangyu, hand Xinxin over to me.” Wan Xiaoya said, attempting to take Zhao Xinxin from him but was stopped by Tangyu, “Xiaoya, it’s not good for Xinxin to move around right now, I’ll carry her down.” And with that, without waiting for a reply, he carefully helped Zhao Xinxin onto his back.

Zhao Xinxin hesitated for a moment but didn’t refuse, allowing Tangyu to carry her.

Wan Xiaoya paused, a flicker of surprise crossing her eyes, but she said nothing.

They descended the stairs and went straight to the car park where Zhao Xinxin’s car was a small red BMW.

Tangyu carefully seated Zhao Xinxin in the front passenger seat, took the keys from Wan Xiaoya, and then got into the car himself.

“Tangyu, I’m trusting you to take care of Xinxin.

Call me immediately if anything happens.

After work, I’ll go to Xinxin’s place,” Wan Xiaoya urged.

Tangyu nodded, “Don’t worry, Xiaoya, I will take good care of Xinxin.”

Twenty minutes later, Tangyu followed Zhao Xinxin’s directions to a fairly elegant residential complex.

After parking the car, he approached the passenger door to help Zhao Xinxin out.

She glanced at Tangyu and said, “Tangyu, there’s no need to help me, I’m feeling much better now and can walk up on my own.” As she spoke, she attempted to get out of the car by herself.

Tangyu seriously said, “Xinxin, I know you’re feeling a little better and can move, but it would be best not to exert yourself.

Your body is already in a rather unstable state, and if you’re not careful, it could lead to complications, which would only cause you more distress later.

So, Xinxin, let me carry you upstairs.

You’re ill; let’s not bother with formalities.”

Only then did Zhao Xinxin nod and say, “Alright, then I’ll trouble you, thank you!” In her heart, she felt an inexplicable warmth, moved.

Once, there had been a man who cared for her and looked after her this way.

Unfortunately, he was no longer with her.

“No need to thank me, since you’ve agreed to let me treat you, you’re now my patient.

Since you’re my patient, all this is what I should do,” Tangyu said with earnest.

Zhao Xinxin’s heart was inexplicably shaken, and her gaze towards Tangyu flashed with an unusual light.

“I live in apartment 402 on the fourth floor; the keys are in my bag,” Zhao Xinxin said.

Glancing inside the car, Tangyu saw Zhao Xinxin’s purse on the dashboard and said, “Xinxin, if you don’t mind, shall I get it for you?”

“Hmm,” Zhao Xinxin nodded.

Once Tangyu picked up Zhao Xinxin’s purse and opened it, her voice came through too late: “Don’t open it—” But it was already too late.

Tangyu froze when he saw what caught his eye: a pack of pink-wrapped Seven Degrees Space pads.

Although he hadn’t seen such things in real life, he’d often seen commercials for them on television and was naturally familiar with them.

Such an item was sensitive for a woman, and having a man see them felt like an invasion of privacy.

Zhao Xinxin’s face flushed a few shades of red.

“Um, sorry about that.

Maybe you should take it yourself,” Tangyu handed the purse back to Zhao Xinxin, who soon recovered.

After all, she was no longer a young girl; having been through ups and downs in society, she had her share of experiences.

Even though she hadn’t been intimate with someone yet, she wasn’t as shy as a young girl.

Nonetheless, it was the first time she’d encountered such a situation, and no matter how mature, there was still a degree of embarrassment and discomfort.

Zhao Xinxin quickly grabbed the keys and handed them to Tangyu, left the purse in the car, and with his assistance, stepped out.

Tangyu squatted down, and Zhao Xinxin hesitated for a moment, yet something irresistible within her compelled her to accept Tangyu’s kindness, and lightly wrapped her arms around his neck.

Tangyu lifted Zhao Xinxin’s legs and, in one smooth motion, steadied her on his back.

The close physical contact sent pulses of indescribable pleasure through Tangyu’s back and all over his body.

He felt the smoothness of Xinxin’s thighs, soft as milk.

Especially when he felt the softness pressing against his back, it sent tingling currents through him, creating a buzz of sensations he’d never felt before.

Back at the company, in the urgency of the moment, he hadn’t had the time or mind to notice, but now he was acutely aware.

Zhao Xinxin too, with her lips lightly bitten, was experiencing a feeling she had only in distant childhood memories—the sensation of being carried.

It was too far back to clearly recall.

Tangyu’s back wasn’t very broad, but it was warm, stable, and comfortable, making her nearly forget everything else.

“Hey, Xiaoya, your boyfriend really treats you well, carrying you up even though it’s just the fourth floor.

It’s rare to find a young man nowadays who knows how to take care of a girl.

Just looking at this young man, I can tell he’s very dependable and trustworthy, and also quite handsome, hehe!” A voice suddenly pulled Zhao Xinxin back to reality, and she realized that the speaker was an older lady in her early sixties.

The lady looked at Tangyu and Zhao Xinxin with a cheerful face and then quickened her pace downstairs before Zhao Xinxin had a chance to explain.

By the time Zhao Xinxin wanted to clarify, the lady had already reached the first floor.

Shaking her head, Zhao Xinxin decided to let it go, finding it little wonder that she had been misunderstood.
