Inheriting a Lost Bloodline, My First Task is to have heirs?! -
Chapter 260 - 260 - Using the Room of Beginnings
I always thought that using the room of beginnings was a last resort for me but as I meet more people and more mystiques, the weight of my mission started to sink in. I simply can't have a husband from all races just to finish this mission. I only have 4 official human (mix of deified and soon-to-be deified) husbands, 1 arranged mystique husband (plus three who are still sleeping) and 1 deity husband but I am already feeling lost on how to divide myself amongst them. Oh, I forgot those four I was keeping: Arthur, Galen, Kyros and Arsenti.
I have already researched on all other options to increase the population of this world and have decided to try them as well. Besides taking in orphaned children under 2 years old that I plan to do in the near future for blood conversion rituals, I have also marked those people I saw with golden sparkles on them. I have also tried another method with Arsenti which was letting an unborn child undergo a blood conversion ritual while deifying the father of the child at the same time to add to the Eienean population. I have also started deifying my chosen husbands and then get them pregnant afterwards (done with Ioannis but there are a few more to go) but I admit that the task is not progressing fast enough.
With all these running in my mind and me taking in consideration all the options, I made my decision to use the room of beginnings as well. As I have made up my mind, I started walking towards one of the empty receptacles nearest to where I was standing.
Just as I was about to touch one of them to deposit what I have recently harvested, Aelorus arrived inside the room of beginnings in a hurry. He must have been assisting Ioannis in taking care of the twins earlier so he came in quite late in greeting me.
He immediately asked, "Your highness, what brings you here? You should have called for me immediately."
I replied, "I came in to supply more of my mana and life essence to the milk factory to keep the twins fed. I have also decided to entrust a few mystique seeds I have harvested to you."
He nodded on my first sentence understanding the need for a constant milk supply for my growing twins. It took some time for the other things I said to sink in to his mind though.
After a few minutes, he looked up abruptly and stared at my face and asked, "Can you repeat what you said after that thing about feeding the twins, please?"
I repeated the next sentences as I have said it earlier and I saw his eyes widened in disbelief. He couldn't hide his excitement as he asked, "How many seeds are there?! Finally, my beautiful room will be less lonely! It will be no longer empty and be more far more useful than just producing milk!"
I laughed out loud at him ranting about the room of beginnings being used as a milk factory for my twins who are slowly becoming gluttons as each day passes. I smiled at him and answered, "I will be entrusting six seeds to you."
He jumped in joy and said, "Wow! Six in one go? You're so amazing, your highness! What races are they from? Don't tell me they are all human again? Are they perhaps from those elves, heralds and giants again?"
I shook my head and answered, "Nope. I have willing vessels for those races so no need to put their seeds here. These are five fairy seeds and one blood demon seed."
He looked stunned, "You took these on your first visit to Zanahavre?! Wait! When did you meet a blood demon? Why don't I know about it?"
I sighed and responded to this guy who loves gossip, "My answer is "Yes" to the first question. For the second one, I met him accidentally in Arista when I came to meet Dimitri's grandparents for the first time for the engagement. I won't go into details so don't ask for more. Let's just say it just happened. And even before you ask, NO he isn't a vessel. I did a simple harvest same with the fairies."
He nodded his head in understanding. He then smiled naughtily, "Well, it doesn't matter how you got them. What's important is you got them safely and now you are entrusting them to me! This is so exciting!" He looks like a crazy scientist, honestly.
He hurriedly grabbed my wrist and led me to the receptacles which was nearest to the center of the room where the monolith was. He then excitedly explained to me the steps on how to deposit the seed correctly as well as which receptacle to put the man's essences in if I was able to get them too. He said the essences from the fathers are optional but without them, I need to supply all the nourishment for the life orbs from my own body.
I followed his instructions down to the tee and was able to complete the safekeeping of 5 differently colored fairy seeds and one blood red colored seed with some gray swirly lines. All the orbs looked cute and unique. I couldn't imagine how cute these babies will turn out to be with the high quality physical genes of their parents. *coughs*
The blood demon seed is the one I have been keeping in my storage for a long time. I was kind of nervous that the seed will not be good enough for use after all this time. I originally just harvested it for my weird collection but after Void told me that the guy I met was of royal descent, I kept it since if I had no choice, I can have a blood demon child through this method. I was also kind of imagining how the child between the two of us would turn out to be and here we are starting the process. I would have an answer to that question in a few months.
Aelorus looked pumped at the six new seeds I brought as he asked, "Do you want me to help you fertilize these seeds now?" I non-commitally answered, "Sure. You can go ahead with that."
The weird guy teleported immediately in front of the monolith, touched the stone and started chanting. A lot of golden runes lit up on the floor, walls and the ceiling of the room.
From one hidden corner of this room, lies three receptacles that are for my sole use. One is for my mana, another for my life essences which will be used for nourishing life orbs and making the milk for the twins. The other one is where I keep seeds from my body that I regularly place here for safekeeping. I have been extracting one per week since I discovered this room.
I have to make sure I can give birth continuously to children. I don't know how sturdy this body of mine is but there is no room for error or accidents that should stop me from completing my mission so saving these back up seeds and using the room of beginnings became my Plan B.
As Aelorus finished his chants, I saw 6 ominous-looking orbs float from my seed bank towards the 6 newly-filled receptacles. They look creepy but well, the main mana attribute of Rosenoirs is chaos so it is normal, I guess. As for these receptacles, maybe it would be best to call them baby incubators now.
As my seed melds with the seeds from the fairies and the blood demon, the orbs started to emit a black swirly fog around them though their original colors stayed the same. They also became bigger, about thrice as they were before. Aelorus then victoriously said, "Done! Please grow well my cute grandchildren!"
I looked at him as if he's really gone crazy. Why would you call these babies your grandchildren when you don't even look like you are any day older than 25 years old. Well, whatever floats his boat.
Since everything has been set, I gave final instructions to Aelorus to keep what is happening inside this room a secret from the others for now. He nodded in understanding with a teasing smile on his face. He casted a spell on the six incubators to make them visible only to me and him. I rolled my eyes on his teasing and walked out of the room of beginnings.
I teleported right inside Ioannis' room. I looked around but he is not here but I heard somebody taking a shower so I felt relieved. I smiled and slowly walked towards the crib where the sleeping twins are. I carried the both of them in each of my arms and gave each a kiss on their cheeks. The children smiled a bit and their small hand reached and clenched on my clothes.
They are growing more and more beautiful, even more in the likeness of their father. I was reveling in the feeling of being a mother that I did not notice that Ioannis was already done bathing. He must have exited the shower and saw me carrying the children. I just heard hurried footsteps and then a strong chest hit my back, a pair of arms hugging my waist from behind.
Oh my gosh! It was good that my grip was strong or the twins would have been flung out of my hands. Did he forget he's a mystique now? That hug knocked the air out of my lungs!
I leaned forward and gently placed the twins on their cribs. I placed a barrier around the twins so they can sleep soundly without hearing unnecessary noise. I turned around to face Ioannis who was, well, totally naked. I saw the towel lying on the floor near the bathroom door.
I looked at his face that was blushing and was about to cry. I leaned down and carried the guy on my shoulder like a sack. I walked towards the bed and flung him on it. I started scolding him, "Don't attack me like that again! You're deified so your body is way stronger than before. I was carrying the babies! What if they were flung away when your chest hit my back?!"
Ioannis looked surprised at my sudden outburst and he sat up and kneeled on the bed. He immediately apologized, "I'm so sorry. I just missed you too much so my brain glitched. Time here is different. You may have not seen me for only three days but it has been more than 3 weeks here."
I totally forgot the time difference and how Ioannis is still adjusting on it. I placed my hands on his cheeks and stole a fiery kiss from his lips. He kissed back immediately and everything spiralled uncontrollably from there.
