"I will deal with you later," Rain said and then stored away the demon king and went to check Seadrei, who was still unconscious.

Rain, despite the urgency in healing his hands, worked methodically. The urgency had waned since the energy in the cave began to disperse. It was a clear indication that the battle was essentially over, and the demons stopped working or just vanished or something.

Rain took the time to focus on treating his wounded hands. The recovery process seemed unusually slow, and whether it was due to the potency of the shadow spear, corruption, or other unknown factors, Rain couldn't tell. Nevertheless, he was not in a hurry.

The remnants of the intense battle lingered in the air, but the threat had been exterminated. With Seadrei unconscious and the demon king defeated Rain could afford to tend to relax a bit.

"You are terrible at speaking nothing. You know that?" Rain asked and then sighed.

Before Rain could press Seadrei for answers, the others arrived, and they looked fine as well… a lot better than Seadrei, who had been punched senseless by Rain. Everyone connected the dots at the wounds in Rain's fists and the ones in Seadrei's face, so he had some explaining to do.

"What did you guys learn?" Rain asked.

"After entering the caves, we realized that the demon king used the blood of his enemies to make this place attract a lot of the bacteria," Sakaki said. "It also seems that the blood increased the levels of magic in the territory. With just a bit of organic matter, he could create demons from the blood in the walls. He also could repair them like that and save time."

The basic functional unit of the nervous system is the neuron. Neurons transmit electrical signals, known as action potentials, along their axons. The demon king could control that.
