Chapter 1200 - 1200: Team fight

As the team prepared to face the king in the shadows after assuming their positions, the atmosphere in the grand chamber of the castle grew tense. The anticipation reached its peak when, without warning, five colossal shadow golems materialized.

The unexpected appearance of these towering figures signaled that the king in the shadows was not willing to waste any time and was eager to see some bloodshed.

The golems, each an embodiment of the darkness that surrounded them, loomed ominously, ready to unleash their might upon the intruders. The king in the shadows, displaying a newfound interest and a thirst for revenge, wasted no time in forcing their charge.

Three of the five monsters moved through the ground, and the other jumped above those three when Rain, Danny, and Seadrei stopped their charge… for a moment, Sealyn almost moved her spear to use her magic, but in the next moment, one of the golems was raised and blocked the charge of one of those two. Seadrei pushed both of those beasts forward with his brute strength alone.

As for the other, when it was only ten meters away from Sealyn and Asche, they fired their first arrow… Sealyn charged the first golden arrow with her magic, and when it hit the monster, it pierced through it completely… before long, the remaining parts of the monster fell apart like glass after freezing.

"With two seconds of charge and with Sealyn's magic support, huh?" Rain thought.

Sealyn was more used to using her own magic to support her fighting style at close range, but it looked like her supporting skills were no laughing matter… either her skills improved thanks to the class system, or maybe she just had that kind of talent.

In the next moment, the two golems on the ground were suddenly pushed backward in the same manner as Rain, and Danny showed the same moves… they blocked the charge with their left forearm and then pushed the beasts backward with a spinning palm hand strike… the monsters trembled all over.

While they held back a bit to hide their strength, it looked like the monsters were tougher than they expected because they soon recovered from the shock…

"Keep your guard up," Rain said.

Danny nodded, and those words came at the right time because the beasts charged while spinning with their arms stretched. Blocking that continuous attack would be hard, and Asche's Power Shot was in cool down, after all.

The two other shadow golems fell, and one of them stopped the charge of Danny's target while the other reached Rain. Still, its charge was stopped when Rain advanced…

Rain came to a sudden halt right in front of the charging shadow golem, his arms moving in a blur of speed. The air crackled with energy as powerful impacts echoed throughout the massive chamber. The monster found itself abruptly frozen in its tracks. Rain's arms, moving at an incredible pace, had successfully halted the beast's charge.

However, the strain on Rain was evident. While his remarkable speed and precision had stopped the relentless assault of the shadow golem, the sheer weight and force of the creature took a toll on him. Even with his extraordinary abilities, facing an opponent of such immense weight came with its challenges.

The exertion was visible, and the telltale signs of the toll it took on Rain were apparent as his eyes started to flinch…

Still, that didn't last for long. Eventually, the beast stopped spinning, and then another ice arrow was fired and pierced through the beast… that one only pierced one side of the monster, but it froze it completely. The monster fell dead…

She had a point, but pointing that out wasn't fair… Regardless, Asche fired another ice-charged arrow and then killed the shadow golem that Danny was facing, and then he moved his aching hands up and down to decrease the pain… it felt like punching steel walls.

Seadrei didn't have much need for help, but since he was saving his energy, Sealyn and Asche also exterminated that creature with their teamwork. When Rain looked at Sealyn, she just nodded. They weren't using that much energy yet, so they were fine.

Usually, the king in the shadows would have readily summoned the next creatures to face them, but he took his time analyzing what he had seen… it gave him a good idea of what he should do, after all.

"Victory is yours. You recovered one thousand points each that you used," The king in the shadows said.

"Thank you very much. What is next?" Rain asked. "I am itching to kick some asses."
