Visually, the flame hasn’t changed dramatically, but it has darkened slightly, and the white sparks dancing within its black depths have grown fewer. Though subtle in appearance, the difference in power is unmistakable.

The mental tsunami was overwhelming, yet somehow my enhanced consciousness managed to contain and integrate the flood of insights.

I perceive the world through entirely new eyes now. Colors seem more vibrant, patterns more evident, connections more obvious. Is this how cultivation geniuses experience reality? No wonder they progress so rapidly—they literally inhabit a different perceptual universe.

My Phantom Footwork has also broken through to Great Completion stage and now advances steadily toward perfection. The difference in speed and control is immediately noticeable. My movements flow with unprecedented fluidity, as though the very air offers less resistance to my passage.

Despite this humbling experience, I gleaned valuable insights. I finally realized which cultivation level she was using against me. From the first through tenth layers of Body Refining, the difference between stages remains relatively modest. Beyond the eleventh layer, however, cultivators enter an entirely different realm of power—explaining why she could overwhelm me so completely.

This realization brought unexpected encouragement. I’m actually holding my own against her tenth layer with merely my eighth—suggesting I’m not simply a weakling incapable of fighting beyond my realm. I wonder if breaking through to the ninth layer would allow me to match her, though I doubt it.

After reset, my weapon techniques advanced to Great Completion stage, now racing toward their final destination of perfection. My cooking also broke through to the fifth grade, granting new insights and numerous fifth-grade spiritual food recipes. As usual, I’ll keep this advancement secret, continuing to prepare seventh-grade meals for everyone.

I suspect I might finally match her when I break through to the tenth layer of Body Refining. The realization suddenly struck me that I could advance to the Qi Refining stage now if only I possessed spiritual roots. The limitation feels increasingly frustrating as my body cultivation approaches its natural ceiling.

Junior Sister watched with widening eyes, clearly impressed by my talent. I understand her reaction completely—I’m rather impressed myself. The speed of my advancement defies conventional understanding of cultivation progression.
