78: Chapter 77: Praise of the Vedas, Immortal Shocked (Seeking Subscriptions) 78: Chapter 77: Praise of the Vedas, Immortal Shocked (Seeking Subscriptions) The Vedas Scripture shimmered with golden light.
Brahma smiled and opened his arms, and the Vedas Scripture slowly rose into the air, emitting endless light of wisdom.
The Immortals looked up reverently, their eyes brimming with excitement and joy, as they gazed upon this spectacle.
The Vedas Scripture!
The source of wisdom of the world!
“The Vedas!”
The Adili Immortal pressed his palms together, muttering excitedly.
The other Immortals also joined their hands in awe, their faces filled with joy, as if parched by drought they’d found the sweet rain, their happiness boundless.
Some even knelt on the ground with a thump, raising their hands high, and exclaimed with excitement.
“The Vedas!”
“The Vedas!!”
“The Vedas!!!”
With this kneel, other Immortals, like dominoes, followed suit amidst the cries of passion, a series of thumping noises echoing as each fell to their knees before the Vedas Scripture.
“Praise the Vedas!”
“Praise the Vedas!
Praise the source of wisdom!”
…
In the sincere praises of the Immortals, the Vedas Scripture gleamed once again, and voices of hymns drifted out from it.
“Lord of the Wind Group!”
“Seated amid the wind group, they call upon thee, the greatest wise one among the wise!”
A soft chorus of hymns emanated from the Vedas Scripture!
The sound of the hymns seemed boundless, transcending time and space, reaching the ears of every Immortal.
In a moment, all the Immortals who were still awake and not meditating profoundly heard this hymn and couldn’t help but press their palms together, singing along with devotion.
In the Mortal Realm.
“Is this… Indra?!”
The Kashyapa Immortal couldn’t help but look up, pressing his palms together reverently, with a glint of excitement in his eyes, beginning to chant.
“Lord of the Wind Group!”
“Seated amid the wind group, they call upon thee, the greatest wise one among the wise!”
In the midst of these devoted voices.
The Narada Muni also couldn’t help but become immersed, beginning his chant as well.
The Devas also started their chants in unison.
When the chanting ceased, the Vedas Scripture’s light flickered, slowly returning to Brahma’s hand.
“May the wisdom of the world endure forever!”
“This debate will be recorded in the Vedas Scripture, and after this Kalpa ends, it will continue to be passed down.”
Vishnu looked at the Vedas Scripture with a smile.
This truly was an unexpected delight!
“Excellent!”
“Indra, as the Heavenly Emperor, you are outstanding!”
Shiva said with a smile.
Upon hearing this, the other Immortals couldn’t help but turn their gaze towards Indra, their eyes revealing surprise, admiration, and longing.
“Praise the Lord of the Wind Group!
Praise the Heavenly Emperor!
Praise Indra!”
“Praise the Lord of the Wind Group!
Praise the Heavenly Emperor!
Praise Indra!”
…
Many Immortals joined their hands in praise.
Yet their feet didn’t stop moving, they eagerly jostled closer, their eyes shining, like wolves in the night, circling Indra, looking on eagerly.
Not to mention basking in the light of wisdom, even just to catch a whiff of its breath.
It was satisfaction beyond measure!
Beautiful!
Laudable!
Blissful!
Narada Muni also snapped out of the hymns of the Vedas Scripture, standing still, with the Vina in his arms, he pondered in confusion.
It’s over!
The debate between the Heavenly Emperor and his sister had been recorded in the Vedas Scripture.
In this way, when others referred to this debate, they would inevitably mention its origin, making him, Narada Muni, merely a stepping stone in the tale.
The Ritual Master Immortal was filled with emotion.
“The wisdom of the Heavenly Emperor has surpassed me!”
The Ritual Master Immortal said with a satisfied expression.
He watched Indra, surrounded by the many Devas, and couldn’t help but murmur.
“Heavenly Emperor, please be sure to come to my Tranquil Forest, to expound your wisdom to me and my disciples.
I will welcome you with a grand celebration!”
“Definitely next time!”
“Heavenly Emperor!
Please also visit my abode, where I will treat you with the highest courtesy!”
“Ah… definitely next time!”
“Heavenly Emperor!
I have a daughter…”
“Ahem…
how could you test me with this, next time for sure!
Next time for sure!”
…
One voice after another came incessantly, and Indra could only decline each gently.
Not far away, the Three Aspects Deity and the three Lady Masters stood together.
“Indra is indeed wise, and he is an excellent Heavenly Emperor, but alas, he is still incomplete!”
Vishnu said with a smile.
“Husband, why is that?” Goddess Lakshmi asked curiously.
Vishnu smiled faintly, his smile blooming like a sunflower.
He gazed at his wife.
“A man without a wife is incomplete, just like I cannot lose you!”
Vishnu said with a light laugh.
Goddess Lakshmi hugged Vishnu, moved by his words.
Hearing this, Goddess Parvati turned to look at Shiva and also tightened her grip on the hand she held with Mahadeva.
Brahma glanced at Saraswati beside him, who was smiling serenely, and he couldn’t help but breathe a sigh of relief.
Old husband and wife!
No need for these displays!
…
Finally, amidst Indra’s refusals, the many immortals slowly dispersed.
Sun God Surya and the other Devas, filled with excitement, also gathered around Indra.
“Those immortals always had such gloomy faces; I’ve never seen them like this before.”
Surya said with a laugh.
“Hmm!”
“Let’s see which immortal dare say we Devas lack wisdom!”
Wind God Vayu was also full of joy.
“We really owe it to the Heavenly Emperor this time, I was almost scared to death by the Lady Masters!”
Fire God Agni patted his chest.
Ahem!
Ahem!
Indra turned his head and gave a subtle cough to remind them.
Hearing this, Fire God Agni was startled and then remembered that the Lady Masters were not far; he immediately backpedaled.
“Of course, I’m not saying the Lady Masters are bad, it’s just that I’m too timid!”
Water God Varuna stood smiling foolishly, not daring to speak.
The Lady Masters are not far off!
“Let’s go!”
“Don’t forget what we came here for, we should also speak to the Supreme Lord about the mounts!”
Indra said.
At his words, the Devas immediately remembered the important matter at hand.
They had come to go through hardship for the sake of their mounts, for their future happiness and well-being; they could not afford any mistakes.
Thinking this, the gods turned their heads to look at the various mounts standing on the lush green grass not far behind them.
With a thought, they summoned their mounts.
Trumpet!!!
Airavata, excited, swung his trunk around, shaking his large head, and strode forward with massive steps.
The divine steeds, antelopes, makaras, and many other mounts of the Devas followed closely behind.
Was it time to return?
Indra gave a slight smile, then brought his palms together and bowed to Vishnu.
“Praise to Lord Vishnu!”
As soon as he finished speaking, the other Devas followed nervously with their own praises.
Vishnu looked at the gods with a smile.
“Supreme Lord!
It’s like this.”
“We Devas work tirelessly to maintain the world; as the masters work hard, the mounts should also strive even harder.
Therefore, we would like our mounts to undergo hardship under your guidance.”
Indra said.
Vishnu’s gaze shifted, sweeping over the mounts of the Devas.
White elephant, white horse, antelope…
Each mount radiated a divine brilliance.
Vishnu’s eyes lingered on the white horse of the Sun God, pausing briefly before his smile bloomed even brighter, as if he saw a future bright with promise.
He withdrew his gaze.
“As you wish!”
“Once these mounts have completed their arduous training, I will bestow my blessing upon them!”
Vishnu said with a laugh.
