Chapter 831: Chapter 810: Just say a few words to him and leave!
Lui Muyi tried to speak but had to admit that if it truly was Su Xian’er who had taken Little Yanyan away, she indeed could have evaded the Lui Family’s intensive manhunt. After all, Su Xian’er had followed him for many years and knew his people and power like the back of her hand. How to avoid them would truly be too easy!
Su Huarong’s face turned alternately pale and flushed. He moved his mouth several times but ultimately couldn’t utter half a word.
Lui Muyi’s eyes turned blood red, as he fell silent and closed his eyes only to suddenly snap them open again.
"I’ll go out once more," he said, "Whether it’s her or not, I will give you an explanation!"
Having said that, he turned and rushed outside.
"Muyi, come back, it’s no use, you won’t find her! Because she knows too well how you operate."
Su Pan’er called out to him and instead took a seat at a leisurely pace.
She ordered someone to prepare a meal and get the horses ready: "She hates me so much, if she has taken Little Yanyan, she will definitely deliver her into the hands of Zhang Cann. That way, she can inflict the greatest pain upon me."
Ah!
Everyone gasped in unison!
Lui Muyi nearly collapsed to the ground, his eyes turning blood red, wishing he could tear her apart right then and there.
"What exactly is she thinking! Just how far does she want to go with this!"
Su Pan’er glanced at him but said no more.
Once the meal was served, Su Pan’er ate heartily from her bowl, gulping down two bowls of rice before finally pushing away the bowl and chopsticks.
Just then a servant reported that the horses were ready. She turned and walked out of the door.
Lui Muyi chased after her from the house.
"Pan’er, you..."
He suddenly didn’t know what to say.
Su Pan’er paused for a moment but didn’t turn back; she instead vaulted onto a horse and rode away.
Su Huarong also chased out of the house, blocking her path: "Wait, Fourth Younger Sister, I’ll come with you!"
"No need! Not only would you be of no help to me, you would just slow me down."
Su Pan’er spoke bluntly, giving Aunt Xiao, Qingwen, and the rest a glance: "I entrust their safety to you!"
Having said this, she didn’t look back and spurred her horse away.
The group left behind had a multitude of thoughts and could only watch helplessly as her figure disappeared into the distance.
As Su Pan’er dashed through the city gate on her own, Su Xian’er was leading Little Yanyan, not stopping for even a moment on their journey.
Just as Su Pan’er had suspected, Su Xian’er had taken Little Yanyan away quietly behind Su Huarong’s back. Once outside the city streets, she directly knocked Little Yanyan unconscious and hid her under the carriage to smuggle her out of the city.
The gate guards were strict with those entering the city, but they were lax with those leaving, which provided her with the convenience to leave quickly. Over the next two days, using her knowledge of the Lui Family, she avoided their regions of influence and took the carriage quickly back to her original small town. By tomorrow, she would personally deliver the child to Zhang Cann, and by then...
The thought of Zhang Cann using the child to threaten Qin Yi, and how Qin Yi and Su Pan’er would be in unbearable agony, filled her heart with pleasure!
That vengeful pleasure had long overwhelmed her humanity, and Su Xian’er’s lips couldn’t help but curl up in amusement.
Looking at Little Yanyan’s sweet face, a look of contempt flickered in Su Xian’er’s eyes.
"Little Yanyan, is it fun following Aunt Wu?"
Little Yanyan was playing with her windmill and tumbler, looked up at Su Xian’er and smiled sweetly.
"It’s so much fun! Mother always confines Little Yanyan and forbids me from doing this and that. Aunt Wu is the best to Little Yanyan!"
With that, she climbed up, wrapped her arms around Su Xian’er’s neck, and affectionately kissed Su Xian’er’s face several times.
She buried herself in her embrace and giggled nonstop!
In the shadows, the contempt in her eyes flashed by unnoticed.
"Really?"
Su Xian’er patted Little Yanyan’s back gently, soothing her as the disdain in her eyes could hardly be concealed.
But her mouth laughed lightly, "Since you like it, let’s keep playing the hide and seek game with your mother, shall we? When we get to the next Market Fair, Aunt Wu will buy you tasty and fun things, all right?"
"Okay!"
Little Yanyan giggled milkily in her embrace, tilting her head with adoration as she looked up at her: "Aunt Wu, Yan Yan wants to eat wontons, rice balls too, and buy shadow puppetry. Aunt Wu, Yan Yan wants it, please..."
"Alright, alright, you’ll get it, you’ll have it all!"
Su Xian’er touched Little Yanyan’s head with a beaming face.
"Aunt Wu is the best, the very best! Hee hee..."
Little Yanyan laughed and leaned into Su Xian’er’s embrace once more.
The two hugged each other, looking harmonious and joyful, enough to make passers-by think they were mother and daughter. Even the coachman driving in front glanced back enviously at them.
What a fool!
Su Xian’er felt triumphant, all of your mother’s scheming in vain, as you, damn girl, still ended up in my hands!
Little Yanyan buried her head into Su Xian’er’s embrace, secretly pondering if her mother had discovered she was taken away by this madwoman, if she was being pursued.
Su Pan’er chased relentlessly, almost traveling day and night to catch up. At every Market Fair, she inquired about the whereabouts of Little Yanyan and Su Xian’er.
However, while making inquiries at one Market Fair, she unexpectedly ran into Zhang Cann’s Herd.
Coincidentally, they recognized her and immediately closed in.
With no one to encumber her, Su Pan’er’s every move was a lethal one, not holding back in the slightest. After killing them all, she quickly left the scene.
Yet, afterwards, at every Market Fair she encountered attacks from Zhang Cann’s troops. Fortunately, being skillful and brave, she fought her way through, managing to escape each time. But she was weary from constantly having to fend them off. Luckily, Master Uncle Cheng’s men lent a hand, which helped her to safely get away and brought her before Master Uncle Cheng himself.
Old Cheng certainly hadn’t expected Su Pan’er to appear there.
"Madam, what are you doing here?"
Old Cheng approached quickly with a surprised look, "The battle is extremely fierce at the moment, and I’m afraid I can’t take care of the madam. Madam, you should not be here now!"
Su Pan’er gave Old Cheng a deep look, ignoring the displeasure in his voice. Instead, she pushed past him and entered the tent.
"Where is Lord Marquis? I must see him immediately."
Her heart pounded frantically as she searched for any sign of Qin Yi.
However, Old Cheng stood before Su Pan’er, his face showing disapproval, blocking her way.
"Lord Marquis has already led the Great Army into several battles against Jun Ruochen’s troops, with victories and losses on both sides. At such a critical moment, madam should understand that Lord Marquis bears the lives of countless soldiers and cannot afford to be distracted!"
He stood firmly as though guarding her, showing no intention to relent.
Her words made Su Pan’er hesitate for a moment, but she still frowned and insisted stubbornly.
"Even so, I still wish to see him!"
Not seeing Qin Yi, if Jun Ruochen used Little Yanyan to threaten and catch him off guard, that would be quite improper!
"Old Cheng, I promise, I will just look at him, say a few words, and then leave."
