In Love With My Fierce Farming Wife!
Chapter 248 - 247: Paper Tiger_1

Chapter 248: Chapter 247: Paper Tiger_1

Since the day he met Old Cheng, Qin Yi started going to see him every night to learn about military tactics.

From the increasingly radiant look on his face, filled with vigor and spirit, Su Pan’er could tell he was very happy.

Originally, the agreement with Old Cheng was to study one evening every three days. But, impressed by Qin Yi’s intelligence in quickly grasping and understanding new concepts, Old Cheng gradually adjusted this schedule to one study session every two days, then eventually every evening.

He studied fervently and relentlessly, and time flew by in the process.

Before they realized, a month had passed.

Su Pan’er’s recent days had also been extraordinarily fulfilling.

She would sometimes go up into the mountains to collect medicinal herbs, sometimes oversee the workers building the house whom Old Cheng had introduced, and in the evenings, she would focus on her cultivation, keeping herself blissfully busy!

When she found some spare time, she transcribed a copy of "The Art of War" by Sun Tzu and gave it to Qin Yi, hoping it would help him better understand military tactics.

As Qin Yi scanned through the contents, he was so amazed that his eyes nearly popped out.

"Pan’er, did you... write all this?"

"How could I? All of this was written by my Master Teacher; I just compiled it for you. Here you go."

Qin Yi, moved to tears, tightly held Su Pan’er’s hand.

"Pan’er, you truly are a wonderful wife!"

"What nonsense are you saying!"

Su Pan’er withdrew her hand and glared at him: "I only just transcribed it. Now, quickly pack up and head over to Old Cheng’s!"

"Aye, okay!"

Qin Yi hurriedly agreed, about to leave but then reluctantly returned.

He held her hand softly, wearing an embarrassed smile: "Speaking of which, we haven’t spent time chatting together for quite some time. How about I take a night off today? Skip today’s lesson?"

"Rubbish!"

Su Pan’er’s eyes widened: "How can you quit learning halfway? What will you learn that way? Hurry up and go!"

"Pan’er, don’t be angry, I was only joking..."

Qin Yi continued to tease her, stealing a couple of kisses that left Su Pan’er blushing. Finally, with a reluctant look on his face, he left.

"This fool!"

Watching Qin Yi’s figure gradually disappear into the night, Su Pan’er shook her head with a laugh and closed the house door.

Turning around, she jumped with a start to see Ke’er peering out behind her!

"Hee hee, Fourth Sister, Ke’er saw it! Fourth Sister was playing kissy-face with Fourth Brother-in-law, hee hee..."

Ke’er smirked, showing a gap where two teeth were missing.

"Just you wait, you little imp."

Su Pan’er, embarrassed and annoyed, landed a playful smack: "Keep talking nonsense and see if I don’t wallop you!"

"I’m not scared of you!"

Ke’er pulled a face at her and dashed into the house, his previously injured leg now fast and nimble: "Hee hee, even Shuang’er said, her third auntie is just a paper tiger, ferocious on the outside but not scary at all. She’d never hurt anyone!"

"Cheeky boy! Who asked you to talk about your Fourth Sister? Want a spanking? And slow down, be careful with your leg!" Su Pan’er quickly advised.

"No problem, it’s all healed! Good night, Fourth Sister." Ke’er’s voice echoed from inside the house.

"This little rascal."

So she’s a paper tiger?

With a shake of her head, Su Pan’er couldn’t help but laugh.

These two mischievous kids are not scared of her one bit now.

The splint on Ke’er’s leg had already been removed. Everyone had initially feared that even if Ke’er could walk again, there would still be lingering effects. To their utter surprise, Ke’er’s recovery was incredible.

Not only could she run and jump, but her legs were of equal size and length with no abnormalities whatsoever.

Even Su Pan’er couldn’t help but marvel at this!

"What’s so surprising? It’s just your lack of exposure!"

The Bama pig looked smug: "Didn’t you see what was in there? I spat on his bone. If that didn’t heal him, that would be the real miracle!"

"Yes, yes, yes, you’re quite amazing. Just go eat your meat!"

Su Pan’er tossed a chunk of meat into the bowl in front of the Bama pig: "If you act up again, I’ll starve you for three days!"

"Yay! More meat to eat."

The moment the Bama pig lay eyes on the meat, he pounced on it like a hungry wolf and gobbled it up, completely forgetting what he had just said.

Su Pan’er couldn’t help but shake her head at this sight.

Such a comical pig!

Just as Su Pan’er was thinking, she suddenly felt a pain on the top of her foot. She looked down only to see the comical pig she was just pondering about, happily nibbling on her foot!

"You damn pig, are you asking for it? Scram!"

With that, she swiftly kicked the damn pig all the way away.

"Hehehe, Pan’er, Pan’er."

The kicked Bama pig quickly turned around and waddled back, following Su Pan’er: "You’re ignoring me. I’ve been calling you for a long time. What were you thinking? You didn’t respond to me."

"What are you calling me for? Don’t tell me, you want me to go look for that so-called treasure of yours again!"

Su Pan’er ignored him and walked into the house.

This comical pig has been pestering her about a so-called treasure hunt almost every day for the past month.

She knows her own limits. With her Inner Strength nearing its breakthrough to the first level of Great Perfection during her three medicinal baths this month, there’s no way she would risk an adventure with this comical pig.

Even this tough and resilient pig had ended up with a body full of injuries. She wasn’t about to risk her safety. It would be better to wait until she past her first major bottleneck and entered the new realm.

She quickly sorted through the medicinal ingredients.

Her stock of medicinal ingredients for her medicinal baths was almost depleted. Even if she had enough for her fourth bath, Qin Yi would need these herbs for his muscles and bones strengthening. It seemed like she would need to plan another trip up the mountain to gather more herbs.

"Pan’er, good Pan’er, are you even listening! There are really, really good things in there, lots of them. Just trust me, trust me this one time ..."

"Trust you? How could I not?"

Su Pan’er picked up her ingredients and headed toward the back of the house.

She passed through the back door of the kitchen, passed the bathroom, and opened a small door on the side which led to a stack of straw used for fuel. She moved one of the stacks, revealing a cave entrance.

She stooped down and entered.

The Bama pig waddled in behind her.

This cave was initially dug up by Su Lao Si. He originally planned to use it to store some grains, but the Qin Family only had three rooms which weren’t suitable for storage.

She faced a challenge when she received the large clay pot from Master Uncle Cheng because the pot couldn’t even fit through the main door of the Qin’s house.

Then she had a brainwave and thought of this cave. Su Pan’er expanded this cave several times, made a small hole in the ceiling, and created a drainage channel. She moved the grains into it, and also placed the large clay pot in the center.

The large clay pot without its disguise was much bigger than the water tank. Its top and bottom were smaller compared to the rounded center. It was large enough for a person to lie inside with room to spare – a truly indispensable tool for bone and muscle strengthening.

At the moment, a roaring flame was burning beneath the large clay pot. The herbs simmering in the pot made a bubbling noise.

Su Pan’er tossed the medicinal ingredients into the pot, stirred it with a rake, her face lighting up with satisfaction!

The fire was almost ready, and these remaining ingredients should be cooked in another 15 minutes. It would then be ready for use.
